Abstract

Even though good regulations and work procedures have been made, the Zero Lost Time Injury program and the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE), work risks and accidents still occur in the production division of PT. XYZ. The purpose of this research is to identify the dangers arising from work accidents and to know the risks of work accidents and the hazards and their impacts. HIRARC (Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control) method. by identifying risks, how to assess risk control risk. Data collection is carried out by field observations, interviews, and analysis of standard operating procedure documents. Accident risks and dangers are found in many activities in transportation and unloading of materials, activities for determining finish good into drums, unloading filter paper activities, there are many risks of accidents and hazards including: material fall, being hit by raw material, pinched feet when unloading etc. The impacts include: Minor Injury, P.A.K, Permanent Disability, Major Material Losses, and even Fatality. Strict action against workers who violate regulations and do not use PPE according to standards.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to formulate an appropriate strategy to improve business sustainability and competitiveness of MSMEs engaged in processed marine products in the Ria Kenjeran Beach area. Through a blue economy approach, this research aims to identify measures that support the efficient utilization of marine resources in a sustainable manner without neglecting economic, social and environmental aspects. Design/methodology/approach: The approach used in this study is qualitative with the support of quantitative data as a complement. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation related to the potential and challenges of seafood processing in the region. SWOT analysis and an Internal-External (IE) matrix were used to formulate an appropriate strategy with blue economy principles, which emphasize efficiency, innovation and sustainability. Findings: The results showed that MSMEs in Ria Kenjeran beach have great potential in processing seafood, but still face a number of obstacles, such as limited technology, lack of market access, and low awareness of environmentally friendly practices. The blue economy approach offers solutions through the utilization of seafood waste as value-added products, development of product diversification, and collaboration with universities and government for business capacity building. Suggested strategies include Develop environmentally friendly products, Adopt simple, cost-effective technologies for waste treatment, Create derivative products from marine processing byproducts, Optimize social networks and partnerships. Abstract

Rendahnya kesiapan siswa SMKN 3 Buduran Sidoarjo dalam berwirausaha disebabkan oleh pembelajaran kewirausahaan yang masih bersifat teoritis dan belum kontekstual dengan jurusan produktif. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan program pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi kewirausahaan siswa secara komprehensif, mencakup aspek kognitif, psikomotorik, dan afektif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan berbasis praktik yang terintegrasi dengan Teaching Factory dan pendekatan project-based learning selama 10 hari. Rangkaian kegiatan mencakup pembekalan teori, workshop, simulasi, pendampingan konsultatif, penguatan kelembagaan usaha sekolah, serta kolaborasi dengan perguruan tinggi dan mitra industri. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kompetensi siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata pre-test meningkat dari 61,0 menjadi 95,8 pada post-test. Selain itu, kegiatan ini menghasilkan rencana usaha siswa, prototipe produk inovatif, dan terbentuknya unit kewirausahaan sekolah sebagai wadah pengembangan bisnis nyata. Program ini terbukti memberikan manfaat langsung bagi siswa, sekolah, dan mitra, serta memperkuat sistem pendidikan vokasi sebagai model pembelajaran kewirausahaan berbasis kompetensi yang efektif. Disarankan agar program serupa direplikasi di sekolah vokasi lain dengan penyesuaian karakteristik lokal.

Abstract

The salt boiling process in small-scale industries is still largely performed manually, requiring repetitive physical activities that can potentially lead to musculoskeletal disorders among workers. This study aims to evaluate ergonomic risks in the salt boiling process and formulate improvement interventions to reduce these risks. A quantitative approach was applied through work posture observation, the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire, and posture assessment using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method on three operators in a salt industry laboratory. NBM results indicated that the highest complaints occurred in the back, waist, shoulders, and lower limbs. REBA analysis identified the drying stage as the most high-risk activity (score 10, very high), followed by salt cooking (score 8, high), and fire stove preparation (score 6, medium). Based on these findings, interventions such as adjusting worktable height, using lifting aids, and implementing job rotation are recommended to reduce injury risk while improving operator productivity.

Abstract

Coastal tourism plays a vital role in fostering regional economic growth while simultaneously strengthening local cultural identity. Nevertheless, the existing potential is often constrained by suboptimal management, as reflected in the case of Ria Kenjeran Beach in Surabaya, which faces limitations in facilities, weak promotional efforts, and competition with other destinations. This study employed the Delphi method to gather insights from experts and stakeholders, followed by analyses using IFAS, EFAS, SWOT, IE, and QSPM matrices to formulate suitable development strategies. The findings reveal that Ria Kenjeran Beach possesses significant internal strengths and considerable external opportunities, positioning it within the growth quadrant of the IE matrix. Furthermore, the QSPM analysis identified the top priority strategy as improving service quality and tourism activities, supported by infrastructure enhancement, digital promotion, and multi-stakeholder partnerships. These results highlight the necessity of integrated and sustainable strategies to strengthen Ria Kenjeran Beach as a leading coastal tourism destination in Surabaya.

Abstract

Abstract— Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are business sectors that play an important role as a backbone of a nation or region"s economics. Most problems faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are capital, management and production process. This study aims to give strategic proposals in expanding small and medium enterprises of gethuk pisang for conserving traditional food. The methods used in this research are internal factor evaluation (IFE), external factor evaluation (EFE), and strengths- weaknesses - opportunities - threats (SWOT), so internal factors and external factors that faced by the small and medium enterprises can be identified. Based on SWOT analysis, some analysis strategy can be used to expand the small and medium enterprises of gethuk pisang. Result showed the small and medium enterprises of gethuk pisang were in first quadrant at SWOT cartesian diagram, meant the right strategies were strengths opportunities (SO) or Growth strategy. The strategies that will be used are local government holds traditional food festival, upgrade the quality of the product and use on-line marketing technology. In conclusion, the sales of gethuk pisang products from small and medium enterprises can increase and correlate with income increase, so small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of gethuk pisang can have competitiveness and grow.Keywords— Strategy, Gethuk pisang, IFE, EFE, SWOT.  Abstrak— Usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) merupakan suatu sektor usaha yang memiliki peran penting sebagai tulang punggung perekonomian suatu negara atau daerah. Sebagian besar permasalahan-permasalahan yang dihadapi UKM adalah permodalan, manajemen, dan proses produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan usulan strategi dalam mengembangkan UKM gethuk pisang dalam melestarikan makanan tradisional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), dan Strengths–Weaknesses - Opportunities-Threats (SWOT), sehingga dapat diidentifikasi faktor-faktor internal yang dimiliki dan faktor-faktor eksternal yang dihadapi oleh UKM. Berdasarkan analisa SWOT, maka akan diperoleh beberapa alternatif strategi yang dapat digunakan dalam mengembangkan UKM gethuk pisang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UKM gethuk pisang berada di kuadran I pada diagram kartesius SWOT, yang berarti strategi yang tepat digunakan adalah strategi Strengths Opportunities (SO) atau strategi Growth. Strategi-strategi yang akan digunakan adalah: Pemerintah Daerah mengadakan festival makanan tradisional,  mutu produk lebih ditingkatkan, dan memanfaatkan teknologi media pemasaran on-line. Dengan demikian, produk UKM gethuk pisang dapat terjadi peningkatan penjualan dan berkorelasi dengan peningkatan pendapatan, sehingga UKM gethuk pisang memiliki daya saing dan dapat berkembang.Kata kunci — Strategi, Gethuk Pisang, IFE, EFE, SWOT
