Abstract

Teachers or educators find it difficult to determine student learning modalities at SMK PGRI 2 Serang City during online and offline learning. Online and offline learning must also be interesting and clear, not only images and text, but must be more interactive, because students have different learning modalities. So that in carrying out online learning the teacher must know the learning modalities of his students in order to make it easier to carry out online and offline learning. So it is necessary to create an expert system that can identify the learning modalities of students and also the accuracy of the expert system, the feasibility of efficient and effective learning modalities in online and offline learning. The stages of developing this website-based expert system design system use the waterfall method. The system development is in stages in 4 stages, namely the needs analysis stage, the design stage, the coding or implementation stage, and the system testing stage. The subjects in this study were 2 media experts, 4 teachers 1 school admin staff, and 36 students. Based on research results from testing the feasibility level of the system or product from media experts, namely 68.5 with these results it means the expert system website is in the "very feasible" category, then the results of testing the feasibility level of the expert system from users (teachers and students) are 94, 8 and 92.75 with these results in the "very feasible" category

Abstract

Workplace fire incidents can harm many parties, so a fire can cause fatalities, material losses, work losses, and other losses that can have fatal consequences. This research aims to understand the working principles of the fire detection system, determine the role of the fire alarm system in the security and safety of building occupants, and determine the causes of false alarms in the fire alarm system in the Nusantara I DPR RI Building. This research uses qualitative procedures with a descriptive approach. Information retrieval methods take the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The study showed that this fire warning system could detect and give a warning sound to all building occupants. This is due to a fire initiated by sending a signal from the detector and connected to the master panel. The role of a fire warning system in a building is to warn building occupants, workers or visitors about the presence of a fire so that they can immediately take appropriate evacuation action and extinguish the fire if possible. The factor that causes false alarms is that the detector in this fire alarm immediately detects things like cigarette smoke, dust, problems with the installation, and damaged detectors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model assisted by modules and jobsheets on learning outcomes in electric motor installation subjects. This research uses a quantitative approach, the research method used is the quasi-experiment method. The results of this study are: The learning outcomes obtained are not only in the form of increased knowledge but also improved thinking skills that can be applied to real problems. quasi-experimental research or quasi-experimental (quantitative). There is a significant effect of using the Problem-Based Learning model on learning outcomes in the experimental class, and there is an influence on learning outcomes in the control class. This shows that there is a significant difference between the average post-test scores of the experimental class and the post-test scores of the control class using the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Modules and Jobsheets in learning outcomes in the Electric Motor Installation subject. Then there is the influence of the Problem-Based Learning model on student learning outcomes in the eyes of Electric Motor Installation.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to create a variable frequency drive (VFD) trainer kit, assess the practicality of the developed VFD educational tool, and evaluate its impact on the academic performance of industrial electronic engineering students, particularly in the area of electronic control systems. The study utilizes the ADDIE model and customized to meet the requirements and consists of the following phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. There were 130 respondents consisting of 122 vocational students, 1 industry expert/practitioner in the field of VFD, 1 vocational training center instructor, 4 vocational teachers, and 2 lecturers. Data were collected using questionnaires with 4 Likert scales from strongly agree to strongly disagree, feasibility assessment sheets from media experts and material experts, interviews, and electronic control system learning outcomes tests. The learning media receives a “highly feasible” and the job sheet obtains 67 “highly feasible”. Moreover, the level of effectiveness of the learning media receives a score of 0.724, indicating high effectiveness. Therefore, they have proven to be effective in enhancing student learning outcomes and developing their proficiency in controlling the speed of electric motors. This will help bridge the gap between the industry's skill requirements and the skills taught in schools.

Abstract

A substation is a transmission installation that distributes power to a load in a certain area. The Sekayu 150 KV Substation is the center for controlling electrical power load requirements and functions as a center for securing electrical power system equipment and as a center for the normalization process for disturbances in the Sekayu transmission area. The electrical power distribution system does not rule out the possibility of disturbances, especially disturbances caused by nature. If there is an unpredictable disturbance, appropriate and reliable safety equipment (protection system) is needed to be able to increase the distribution of electrical power to the load (consumer).

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to investigate in depth regarding the planning of electrical panels to be used in elevator systems. The method used is a literature study followed by the creation of panels and data collection. This process starts from the initial stage, namely making drawings of the electrical panel series, then continues with construction planning and installation of the overall elevator system. Selain itu, pengecekan berkala terhadap kualitas lift yang dipasang juga menjadi fokus utama dalam penelitian ini. This is important to ensure that elevators operating in these tall buildings can maintain safety and comfort when used by people and in the process of transporting goods to various floors of the building. Thus, it is hoped that the results of this study can make a meaningful contribution in improving the efficiency and safety of vertical transportation within modern high-rise buildings.

Abstract

Carrying out work practices in this industry is one of the requirements for the industrial practice course. This practical activity aims to find out directly the state of the industry in terms of work readiness. The aim of this industrial practice activity focuses on finding out what components are contained in the Star-Delta hydrant pump panel, knowing the process of installing the Star-Delta hydrant pump panel and knowing how the Star-Delta panel works. In implementing this industrial practice, observation methods, library observations and interviews are used. PT. Tiga Kreasi Indonesia is a company that operates in the field of manufacturing electrical panels, with one of its products being Star-Delta hydrant pump panels to stabilize air pressure in hydrant pump lines. The hydrant pump's star delta panel functions to control and secure what happens if undesirable things happen, such as protecting a building or factory. This research produces new knowledge and understanding regarding the design of Star-Delta Panel hydrant pumps which are widely used in homes, factories and offices to minimize the occurrence of fires.

Abstract

Meningkatnya pertumbuhan penduduk di Kota Cilegon membawa konsekuensi pada masalah lingkungan binaan yang makin memprihatinkan. Beberapa kawasan terutama kawasan  pinggiran kota seringkali secara fisik tidak terakses oleh perencanaan kota secara formal, sehingga pada lingkungan kawasan seperti ini pola pertumbuhan lingkungan fisiknya tidak terencana dengan sistematis. Padahal, konsentrasi penduduk Kota Cilegon sebagian besar berada di kawasan pinggiran kota yang dalam istilah arsitektur dikenal dengan sebutan kampung kota. Di sisi lain, keterbatasan ruang kota, permukiman yang padat, serta minimnya ruang publik masyarakat, membawa pengaruh pada penurunan kualitas lingkungan fisik serta pergeseran nilai-nilai kebersamaan dan toleransi di antara masyarakat. Padahal, salah satu aspek penting dalam pembangunan adalah kebersamaan, kepercayaan dan hubungan antar individu yang menjadi modal sosial (social capital) yang dapat memperkuat komunitas. Melihat kondisi seperti diatas maka salah satu langkah yang perlu diambil adalah dengan peningkatan kualitas SDM. Peningkatan kualitas SDM yang dimulai sejak dini dapat berpengaruh pada daya saing individu itu sendiri. Langkah yang di ambil adalah memberikan ketrampilan tambahan kepada mereka yang berusia produktif. Salah satu ketrampilan yang akan diberikan kepada masyarakat adalah ketrampilan komputer. Dengan bekal ketrampilan komputer di harapkan masyarakat mampu bersaing untuk meningkatkan kinerja pekerjaan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

This study tackles a critical challenge in converting two-dimensional (2D) images into three-dimensional (3D) representations, focusing on the precise detection of flat surfaces. The research utilizes a triangulation method involving laser and camera systems, emphasizing the optimization of laser shooting angles and camera positioning to accurately determine z-coordinates. The methodology employs hue, saturation, and value (HSV) color masking, which has proven superior to traditional red, green, blue (RGB) methods for isolating red line objects. Key findings indicate that the optimal laser angle, β1=70.65°, significantly minimizes root mean square (RMS) error, thereby enhancing the accuracy of 3D imaging. Additionally, the use of three laser lines at different angles enables a more comprehensive detection of z-coordinates by creating multiple reference points across the surface. This arrangement improves the robustness and precision of the 3D reconstruction process, as the intersecting laser lines generate detailed coordinate data that is critical for accurately mapping surface irregularities. These results not only support existing theories in digital feature extraction but also offer a robust framework for practical applications in manufacturing and quality control, particularly in surface defect detection. The study’s innovative approach advances the field of computer vision, providing new insights and methodologies for optimizing image conversion techniques.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of teachers in implementing pedagogical skills. The present study used a mixed methods approach. The participants in this study consisted of 55 highly effective educators employed in vocational secondary schools. The research data were acquired using effective teacher questionnaires, peer evaluations, observations, and comprehensive interviews. The findings indicated that a majority of highly effective educators possess a strong comprehension of the practical application of pedagogical competence. Nevertheless, a marginal disparity exists between academic knowledge and its practical application in the respective domain. The facilitation and support of teachers in the development of their pedagogic competences is a crucial responsibility of school principals. Effective and well-structured ongoing training is essential to bridge the divide between theoretical concepts and practical application, and to guarantee that educators possess the requisite expertise and understanding to tackle the demands of the current and future educational landscape. Hence, it is imperative to allocate resources towards teacher professional development and ensure the availability of sufficient assets in vocational secondary schools in order to attain educational excellence in Indonesia.
