Abstract

SMT (Surface Mount Technology) is an automatic technology used in the installation of electronic components on a PCB (Printed Circuit Board). There are 3 stages in the manufacture of PCB boards with SMD components, namely Solder Paste, Chip Mounter Machine and Reflow Oven. Chip Mounter Machine is equipment used in the installation of SMD components on a PCB board or can be called a Pick and Place machine. This Chip Mounter Machine is an important piece of equipment in the SMT line, because this machine is the axis in the production of PCB board modules. Therefore, maintenance is carried out to maintain this Chip Mounter Machine so that it can continue to be used. The maintenance carried out is preventive maintenance or preventive maintenance, which aims to prevent unexpected damage to the machine and determine the conditions that cause damage to the machine when the machine is operating. Preventive maintenance carried out includes inspection, cleaning and repair of equipment that is carried out in a planned manner within a certain period of time.

Abstract

The medium voltage distribution network system is an integral part of the process of transmitting electrical energy from the substation to consumers. This transfer aims to supply electricity for daily use by consumers and can also be applied in industrial environments. The importance of electricity in modern development makes it a critical element; if a power outage occurs, our activities will be disrupted. Therefore, protection is needed within the medium voltage distribution network system to safeguard against damage to the network infrastructure, which could lead to power outages. To reduce the occurrence of such issues, protective components have been developed to protect the medium voltage distribution network facilities, ensuring the safety of consumers from the 24kV medium voltage distribution system, which could be fatal in case of direct contact.

Abstract

Material handling is a form of transportation or conveyance carried out in an industrial company environment. This activity involves moving raw materials, semi-finished goods, or finished goods from the location of origin to a predetermined location. One of the material handling is Doors operation which is located in the furnace machine section which functions as a gate to release a billet that has been heated. In Material Handling, especially in doors operation, an automatic control system using a Programmable Logic Controller is needed. The type of PLC used is the Siemens S7-300 PLC. With the method of observation (observation) in the field of all the equipment that is done and with the literature study can be known material handling control system, especially doors operation. From the results of research on material handling doors operation, it can be seen that this control aims as a gate to release a billet either by remote control or direct control, so that billets that have been heated to a temperature of 1200 degrees can come out effectively and will go to several stands to be printed. All stages in material handling, especially doors operation, can be monitored on the CCTV screen and HMI (Human Machine Interface).

Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the effectiveness of the refrigeration technology training program at the vocational training centers (VTCs) by employing the context, input, process, product, and outcome evaluation approach. This study is classified as evaluative research, employing a qualitative description approach. Data collecting employs several approaches such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The primary informants in this study included the head of the VTC, the organizer of the VTC, the instructor of the refrigeration technology training, and the participants of the refrigeration technology training. Triangulation methods are employed to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of the data. The findings indicate that the setting, process, and product elements can be categorized as satisfactory, while the input and outcome aspects remain in the poor category. To increase employment and reduce unemployment, this split air conditioning training can be expanded by strengthening program components in the input aspect, particularly facilities, and infrastructure, as well as in the output aspect.

Abstract

Numerous meta-analysis studies have been undertaken on the topic of culturally embedded learning. Insufficient study has been undertaken on culturally integrated learning as a means to enhance reading abilities. The objective of this study is to assess and evaluate the impact of learning enriched by local culture on reading proficiency. This research was conducted using meta-analysis. The document search conducted using Google Scholar yielded 14 document papers published between 2019 and 2023. The research design included a contrast group with random effects model, incorporating a corrected effect size. The investigation employed Jeffreys’s Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) software to compute means aggregate errors, generate forest plots, and assess publication bias. The research reported a statistically significant difference (SE=2.091) between the groups that used local knowledge and standard methods in the learning process. The findings also indicated that incorporating local culture has a significant and favorable impact (with a p value of less than 0.05, namely 0.001) on reading proficiency. This demonstrates that incorporating local culture into the learning process is successful in enhancing students' reading proficiency. Therefore, this study recommends that teachers incorporate local culture as a subject in their teaching to enhance students' reading proficiency.

Abstract

This study investigates energy efficiency challenges during laboratory activities. Inefficient energy use in the practicum phase remains a critical issue, prompting the exploration of innovative forecasting models. This research employs artificial neural network (ANN) models integrated with principal component analysis (PCA) to predict energy consumption and optimize usage. The findings reveal that PCA components, including eigenvalues, eigenvectors, and matrix covariance values, significantly influence the ANN model's performance in forecasting energy production. The ANN training achieved a high correlation coefficient (R=1) with a mean squared error (MSE) of 0.045931 after 200,000 epochs, demonstrating the model's robustness. While testing results showed a moderate correlation (R=0.46169), the models demonstrated potential for refinement and scalability. This integration of ANN and PCA models provides a reliable framework for accurately forecasting energy usage, offering an effective strategy to enhance energy efficiency in laboratory settings. By optimizing energy consumption, this approach has the potential to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. The strong performance metrics highlight the practical utility of these models in educational contexts, contributing to sustainable energy management and better resource allocation. Furthermore, the reduction in energy-related environmental impacts underscores the broader applicability of these models for fostering sustainable development in similar contexts.
