Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the causality of determinants on capital structure and debt lifetime. This study investigates 30 companies of Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) that have been listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) over a three-year period. In total, 30 companies of JII are qualified to be included in the study sample according to the availability and continuity of published financial statements. Variables used for the analysis include leverage ratios (total debt (TD), and long-term debt (LTD)), profitability, growth, firm size, age, asset structure, and liquidity. The panel character of data allows for the use of panel data methodology. Panel data involves the pooling of observations on a cross-section of units several times. The regression analysis has shown that TD ratio is positively influenced by GRT and LIQ, and negatively by ROA, and has no significant causality from SIZ, AGE, and TAN. On the other hand, LTD ratio is positively influenced by SIZ, TAN, and LIQ, and negatively by ROA, and has no significant causality from GRT and AGE.

Abstract

Highlighting community empowerment programs, this paper aims to develop a concept of a sustainable social business model based on sacrificial ritual activities, based on a case study of the Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) program of Dompet Dhuafa Republika (DDR). Survey data from interviews with 120 THK partner beef cattle farmers outside Java and observations in the implementation of the THK program along the supply chain in 2020 are presented descriptively and qualitatively, then analyzed to get a better concept formulation. The results of this research are expected to provide solutions to various problems in the implementation of Qurbani to have a positive influence, both in the form of profits and or benefits to all stakeholders (farmers, farmer groups, capital owners, DDR, marketing partners, and beneficiaries of qurbani meat) involved in the program flow. In broader practice, the program flow is worth considering in similar programs at other institutions or in a more extensive scope (country). This paper contributes by filling a gap in the supply chain management literature, where empirical studies on programs to improve the welfare of marginalized communities associated with sacrificial rituals. Empowering farmers by involving stakeholders in the supply chain from upstream to downstream, which benefits all parties involved, is feasible for business sustainability

Banyumas Regency, which is known for its rich batik culture, is one of the areas where batik MSMEs are trying to maintain and develop their market amidst intense competition. This research has not yet discussed mediation of marketing performance, so the novelty in this research is that digital marketing becomes mediation. This research was conducted on Batik MSMEs in Banyumas Regency by giving questionnaires to business owners and MSME managers using Google Form. The Banyumas Regency Cooperatives and MSMEs Service said there were 120 MSMEs. In this study, the entire population was used as the research sample. This is because there are only 120 Batik MSMEs in Banyumas Regency. Partial Least Square (PLS) model analysis was used in this research. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that content marketing has no effect on digital marketing. Content marketing has no effect on marketing performance. Customer engagement influences digital marketing. Customer engagement influences marketing performance. Digital marketing influences marketing performance. Digital marketing does not mediate the relationship between content marketing and marketing performance and digital marketing mediates the relationship between customer engagement and marketing performance.
