Abstract

The phenomenon that occurs in Makassar City in terms of travel time is that there are more private vehicle users compared to users of public transportation services. The rapid economic growth in Makassar City affects the people's purchasing power and increases the number of motor vehicle ownership. As a consequence, the trips are longer and the travel time needed is longer and longer than using private vehicles. This study aims to identify the independent variables that affect the travel time of workers who live in Puri Yuhana Permai Housing and Khatulisiwa Hill to get to work, and model travel time based on independent variables that are significant to the travel time of these workers using the multiple linear regression method SPSS 22.0. . The results of the research on each housing show that the variables that have a significant effect on the travel time of Puri Yuhana Permai housing are the mode (X3) and the distance traveled (X4), and the Khtulisiwa Hill is the distance traveled (X4). And it is known that the dominance of the travel time sequence of the Yuhana Yuhana housing complex (15-30 minutes) 47.3%, (30-45 minutes) 32.7%, (<15 minutes) 10.9%, (60 minutes) 9,1 %. Meanwhile, for Bukit Khatulistiwa Housing (15-30 minutes) 37.3%, (30-45 minutes) 28%, (<15 minutes) 18.7%, (60 minutes) or 16%.

Abstract

The side obstacle factor is one of the causes of traffic congestion which can affect the level of service of a road. Where congestion is a traffic flow problem caused by an increase in the volume of vehicles on a road section and by side obstacles. The aim is to determine the traffic flow and the impact of side obstacles on the degree of saturation on the Perintis Kemerdekaan road km.8 using the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) in 1997. Based on the calculation and analysis of data obtained the largest traffic flow on Monday, namely 1686.41 SMP / hour, the biggest side obstacle on Saturday is 502.4 and the highest degree of saturation is obtained on Monday afternoon at 0.78 which is where the flow is close to unstable at certain peak hours where the greater the side obstacles the greater the degree of saturation.

Abstract

This research is intended to study the characteristics of a mixture of AC-BC using plastic bag waste as added material. Mixing is done by adding pieces of plastic to the asphalt mixture using a dry method. The method in this research is to conduct a series of testing the characteristics of coarse, fine, and filler aggregates then design the AC-BC mixture composition and Marshall testing to obtain mixture characteristics and Marshall Immersion testing to obtain the residual strength index (IKS). Through the Marshall test, the level of plastic bag waste used is 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%. The results of research conducted at the Road and Asphalt Laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Indonesian Christian University, Paulus Makassar, showed that the use of additives in intermediate asphalt concrete mixtures can increase stability values. The stability value due to the addition of plastic to the asphalt mixture increases compared to asphalt mixture without plastic. The level of good addition of plastic to asphalt mix is 2% because in addition to the high stability value, Marshall parameters such as VIM, Flow, VMA, and VFB have also fulfilled the 2018 Directorate General of Highways Specifications.

Abstract

Pedestrian Bridge is a pedestrian facility that is very useful for smooth traffic. Meanwhile, from the observations, the Pedestrian Bridge on Jalan A.P. Pettarani has not been used optimally, for example, pedestrians still use the road as a medium for crossing. This study aims to determine the characteristics of pedestrians and the perceptions of pedestrians towards the Pedestrian Bridge facility on Jalan A.P. Pettarani. The method used is the interview method using a questionnaire or questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the characteristics of pedestrians were more dominated by men with an age range of 17-26 years by students, and the perceptions of pedestrians varied greatly, both those who used and did not use the A.P Pettarani Pedestrian Bridge. Of all the variables studied, the variable that influenced the most was the variable X3, namely the distance traveled in which in some cases pedestrians were reluctant to use the Pedestrian Bridge because the distance from the point of traveling to the destination was further away. So that sometimes many pedestrians prefer to cross the road.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic affects the mobility of the people of Makassar City in particular, so the local government has made several policies to reduce the potential for the spread of disease outbreaks, one of which is the new normal so that it can affect the performance of these roads which have high activity. This study aims to determine the performance of urban sections during the new normal period and the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual, 1997 method is used as a reference. Increasing traffic flow decreases the average space velocity and but increases the density value and the degree of saturation, this decreases the segment performance. The lower the average spatial velocity the higher the density value. With the alternative of increasing the performance of the section, it can increase the level of road service to C at the highest flow and speed, reduce the density and degree of saturation.
