Abstract

Various kinds of treatments given to solar panels illustrate efforts to increase the output power of solar panels and the efficiency of solar cells. In the following research, we will analyze the differences in the output power and efficiency of solar cells that have received different treatments. In the solar panel that will be analyzed in this study is the addition of a reflector to solar cells with a reflector tilt angle of 90 ° and 60 ° as a form of variation of radiation amplification. The idea for the use of a reflector is to increase the yield of solar cell input radiation. After testing, the output power produced by solar cells increases as the radiation received by the solar panels increases and the efficiency of the solar panels decreases as the temperature of the solar cells increases.

Abstract

This study explores the consecutive interpreting strategies employed by a graduate student of Linguistics with a focus on translation at Universitas Brawijaya. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research analyzes recorded class simulations set in a hospital context. The data, transcribed from role-play exercises involving a doctor, an interpreter, and a patient’s mother, was examined using Faerch and Kasper’s (1983) theory of interlanguage communication strategies, namely reduction strategy and acquisition strategy. The findings identify two main strategy categories: reduction strategies (such as omission and incomplete sentences) and achievement strategies (such as assistance and elaboration). Skipping was found to be the most frequently used strategy, typically involving the exclusion of repetitive or predictable information to ease delivery without distorting the message. However, issues such as unclear articulation and the use of local dialects occasionally hindered effective communication. The study contributes insights into how interpreting strategies are applied in real-time contexts by student interpreters and offers suggestions for enhancing interpreter training programs.

Abstract

Measuring and assessing online learning is very important to study because online learning with its advantages and disadvantages is a form of learning that is currently widely used. The purpose of writing this article is to find out what platforms are appropriate to use for online learning assessment. This article was written using a simple qualitative descriptive and literature study method by reviewing several related literature. The data collection location at SIT Ibnu Abbas Cikarang was 35 teachers. Data collection was done using random sampling. The results of this research are measurements and assessments of online learning at SIT Ibnu Abbas Cikarang using several platforms, namely Quiziz, Google Form, Kahoor, and Wordwal. Quiziz is one of the most interesting platforms compared to others. The percentage of results comparing teachers' perceptions of good and interesting platforms is, for Google Form an average of 31.43%, an average of 51.43% for Quizizz, an average of 2.86% for Kahoo,t and an average of 8.57% for Wardwall. This article concludes that Quiziz is a good and interesting online learning and assessment medium.
