Abstract

Arabic is a subject that has its difficulties for students of Islamic Primary Schools. The majority of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah struggle with reading, writing, and understanding mufradat (vocabularies) in Arabic classes. Among the attempts undertaken to overcome these obstacles is the application of the peer tutoring method combined with short card media in Arabic language learning. This study aimed to determine and analyze the implementation of the peer tutor method integrated with short card media in learning Arabic at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The subjects in this study were teachers and students in learning Arabic at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The method used qualitative-descriptive. The results showed that the peer tutoring method integrated with short card media was carried out through the following stages: 1) explanation of the objectives and classical learning activities by the teacher, 2) grouping students into teams where some of the students functioned as tutors for the others, 3) learning with the peer tutor method integrated with short cards media that have been provided, 4) observing learning activities, and 5) evaluating learning activities with teachers and students. When employing peer tutoring integrated with short card media, the findings indicate that students showed a higher level of enthusiasm for their participation in the learning process.

Abstract

Literasi menjadi salah satu kompetensi esensial dalam pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang mencakup kemampuan membaca, menulis, menyimak, dan berpikir kritis. Namun, berdasarkan observasi awal di SMP PGRI 6 Pemalang, masih rendahnya minat membaca dan kemampuan literasi siswa menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi sekolah. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, dilaksanakanlah Program Gerakan Literasi 15 Menit sebagai bagian dari Kampus Mengajar 8 tahun 2024. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa melalui pembiasaan membaca buku non-pelajaran selama 15 menit setiap hari, dilanjutkan dengan latihan menulis refleksi atau ringkasan bacaan. Metode pelaksanaan program melibatkan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan refleksi dengan pendekatan partisipatif bersama guru dan siswa. Hasil evaluasi pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan rerata kemampuan literasi siswa dari 25% ke 58%, terutama pada aspek menemukan informasi tersurat, membuat inferensi, dan memahami elemen visual dalam teks. Meskipun demikian, beberapa indikator pemahaman mendalam masih memerlukan penguatan lebih lanjut. Secara keseluruhan, program ini memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan budaya membaca dan kemampuan literasi siswa, serta layak dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan oleh sekolah sebagai bagian dari Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS).

Abstract

This research discusses “A Holistic Model for Character Education in Schools.” Character education is considered an important solution to a variety of ongoing moral vulnerability phenomena. It is expected that through education the cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and spiritual aspects in learners can be harmonized. To this end, a holistic model for character education can be applied to learners. This study was carried out using a qualitative approach through library research. The data were collected by documentation technique and later analyzed by descriptive analysis. The research results indicated that character education is a process of positive values internalization in learners for them to possess good character, which comprises cognitive, feeling, and action aspects. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to introduce and internalize life values that are useful for learners to become whole human beings, that is, as individual-social, physical-spiritual, or autonomous-God’s human beings. The holistic character education model can be implemented in schools in an integrated manner across all school subjects. Otherwise put, it can be implemented through the learning process at school on a day-to-day basis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the professional abilities of progressive Islamic education leaders. By using literature research methods, this study shows that progressive Islamic education leadership capabilities must: 1) Involve the ability to develop a clear vision and strong educational mission, 2) The ability to inspire and motivate staff, students and other stakeholders. 3), Have good management skills, including resource management, strategic planning, and performance evaluation. 4) Have the ability to communicate effectively to be able to establish good relationships with all parties involved in educational institutions. Above all, an educational leader must have a strong commitment to student learning and development, as well as the ability to adapt to continuous changes in the world of education. These findings provide theoretical contributions in creating effective and sustainable educational leadership for Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis materi tentang kode etik dan keterampilan profesional seorang guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran atau mutu pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu tinjauan literatur, di mana informasi dikumpulkan dari beberapa buku-buku, jurnal dan berbagai sumber yang dapat dipercaya. Kesimpulan utama penelitian ini adalah materi kaidah etika dan profesionalisme guru sangat penting untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Guru yang memiliki pemahaman etika dan profesionalisme yang baik mampu memberikan pengajaran yang berkualitas dan membina hubungan baik dengan siswa, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pedoman etika dan profesionalisme guru secara signifikan meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi lembaga pendidikan untuk memperhatikan dan memperkuat kaidah etika dan materi profesionalisme guru dalam kurikulum dan pelatihan guru.

Abstract

Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat desa terhadap literasi fiqih wanita menjadi problem mendasar diadakannya penguatan literasi fiqih wanita. Seharusnya para wanita baik ibu-ibu ataupun para remaja wanita memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup seputar fiqih wanita untuk bekal dalam menjalani ibadah setiap harinya. Realitanya di Desa Wangandowo terdapat ibu-ibu maupun remaja wanitanya yang belum paham terkait masalah hukum fiqih seperti masalah haid, nifas, istihadhah, wiladah, mandi wajib, menyucikan najis, serta masalah-masalah kewanitaan lainnya yang berkaitan dengan syarat beribadah. Metode dalam pengabdian ini menggunakan Community Based Research (CBR). Ukuran keberhasilan pada Metode CBR adalah kemanfaatan data yang diperoleh bagi komunitas. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah kajian penguatan literasi fiqih wanita dengan masyarakat dampingan sebanyak 30 orang. Terdapat 6 materi utama yaitu haid, nifas, istihadhah, salat, puasa, dan munakahat. Berdasarkan hasil post-test pasca kajian, masing-masing materi diperoleh peningkatan yang signifikan. Pada materi haid sebesar 93%, peningkatan pada materi nifas sebesar 100%, peningkatan pada materi istihadhah sebesar 90%, peningkatan pada materi salat sebesar 87%, peningkatan pada materi puasa sebesar 93%, dan  peningkatan pada materi fiqih munakahat sebesar 100%. Dengan adanya kegiatan pemberdayaan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penguatan literasi fiqih wanita berdampak signifikan dalam meningkatkan literasi dan pemahaman warga desa wangandowo khususnya para wanita di bidang fiqih.

Abstract

The development of information technology has changed people's lives in all civilizations and cultures. One of the various and most favorite social media for elementary school children today is the sharing application "Tik-Tok". The use of the "Tik-Tok" application is felt as a means to prevent children from getting bored in between activities. Apart from eliminating boredom, the "Tik-Tok" application also has a big impact on children's character development. This study aims to determine the level of use of the Tik-Tok sharing application in elementary school-age children, to determine the level of character development of elementary-age children, and to determine the impact of using the Tik-Tok sharing application on the character development of elementary school-age children in Klidang Wetan Village, District Batang, Batang Regency. This research approach through a quantitative approach to the type of field research. This research data collection techniques through observation methods, survey methods and documentation methods. The number of samples consisted of 115 students in grades IV, V and VI of SDN Klidang Wetan, Batang District, from a total population of 161. The results showed that the use of the Tik-Tok Sharing Application in Klidang Wetan Village, Batang District, was included in the high criteria. Meanwhile, the level of character development of elementary school children in Klidang Wetan Village is included in the high criteria. In addition, the effect of using the Tik-Tok Sharing Application affects character development. The coefficient (R) obtained from the statistical test is 0.386 and the coefficient of determination R-square is 0.149. In short, the transformative effect of using the Tik-Tok Sharing Application on the character development of Elementary School-aged children is 14.9%, the remaining 85.1% is the influence of other factors.

Abstract

Interesting and enjoyable learning methods have a big influence on the learning atmosphere in the classroom. Therefore, teacher strategies are needed in the learning process, one of which is by implementing appropriate learning methods or models to support the sustainability of effective learning. One of the models used is discovery learning. This study is classified as qualitative research that uses data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the application of discovery learning in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak at MTs Salafiyah Nurul Qomar Pekalongan is carried out through three main stages. First, preparation for the implementation of the discovery learning model, which includes making lesson plans, compiling syllabuses, and providing handbooks and materials that are ready to use. Second, the implementation of learning is carried out in three stages. In the preliminary stage, the activity begins with the teacher greeting, conveying learning objectives, and providing apperception. In the core stage, students are given stimulus to identify problems, collect data, process data, prove, and draw conclusions (generalization). The closing stage is carried out by giving appreciation to the results of student work, accompanied by final motivation from the teacher. Third, learning evaluation is an indicator of the success of implementing this model, which is evident from the significant increase in student grades. The application of the discovery learning method has been proven to improve students' learning process in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and motor skills. This model also provides students with broader insights. Therefore, consistent application of discovery learning is highly recommended so that students are accustomed to thinking critically, finding new solutions, and exploring problems better.
