Abstract

Shallots have a high economic value. The need for leeks continues to increase as the population continues to increase. The conditions for the growth of leeks are nutritional requirements, being at an altitude of 230-1500 m above sea level, rainfall ranging from 15-200 mm/year, and having a daily temperature of 18-250C and suitable soil types are andosols, latosol, and regosol. Shallots will grow maximally if they are protected from weeds, pests, and diseases. The decrease in leeks is caused by the abundance of Imperata cylindrica L. , the magnitude of the decrease is 40-50%, so Imperata cylindrica L. control is necessary. Imperata cylindrica L.  control is usually done by farmers using chemical herbicides which over time will cause plants to become resistant to chemical herbicides and will cause the soil to decrease infertility, it is necessary to control weeds using weeds themselves because Imperata cylindrica L.  have allelopathic chemical compounds that can inhibit plant growth. the use of organic herbicides can use Imperata cylindrica L.  and Ageratum conyzoides L. because these two plants have active compounds in the form of phenols, terpanoids, flavonoids, and also tannins. This study used variations in concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, positive control, and negative control and the results obtained that there was no right concentration to control Imperata cylindrica L. Kata kunci: Bandotan, Bawang daun, Bioherbisida, Ilalang

Abstract

Fisheries are one of the trade commodities that are favored by the public for consumption, both freshwater fish and seawater fish. Fish is much favored by the community in addition to having a good taste as well as an affordable price. From the high interest in fish consumption, traditional markets cause pollution to the environment. The pollution is in the form of waste fish. This research was conducted as a solution to overcome the problem of fish market liquid waste that can be used as raw material for making liquid organic fertilizer by optimizing the utilization of the Pumakkal starter. In this study, treatment was carried out with 1 control and 5 treatments, and 3 replications. P1 with a varied formula of 3 isolates, P2 with a variety of formula 6 isolates, P3 with a variety of formula 9 isolates, P4 with a variation of formula 12 isolates, and P5 with a variation of formula 15 isolates. The research results show that levels of N + P + K has a quality standard set by the government (2-6%). In the P0 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 5.685%. Then in the P1 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 6.998%. Then in the P2 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 7.727%. Then in the P3 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 8.430%. Furthermore, in the P4 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 8.284%. Meanwhile, for the P5 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 9.658%. At levels of C-Organic, it has a quality standard (minimum 10) with a percentage of 18.208%. For the value of C-Organic with a percentage of already complied with the provisions of SNI. For the levels of N+P2O5+K2O with a percentage of 12,239%. The measured pH level, it has a value of 6. Then the liquid organic fertilizer from fish market waste is said to be feasible because it meets the criteria of SNI or Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture no. 261/KTPS/SR. 310/M4/2019.

Abstract

Pomacea canaliculata and Anodonta woodiana are alternative foods for people who live in Kalibening Village, Pekalongan, Lampung Timur. They live as a filter feeder, so they can accumulate heavy metals Pb and Cd from their habitat potentially. This study aims to determine the effect of cooking method on the levels of Pb and Cd and the nutritional value of P. canaliculata and A. woodiana such as Ca and Protein. The variation of the cooking method that was used in this experiment is: steam, boil and fry with without processing, as a control. Based on the results of the study it is known that boiling is the best method in minimizing Pb and Cd from P. canaliculata and A. woodiana with an average reduction of 41.43% for Pb metal and 58.06% for Cd metal. While the average decrease in Ca levels was around 24.64% and 23.23% for the average reduction in protein.

Abstract

This study analyzed the effect of chromium metal accumulation on magnesium absorption and chlorophyll content in vegetables. The effect of accumulation was determined by performing controlled experimental methods on planting media supplemented with chromium and by directly observing vegetables grown in chromium-polluted areas, such as mountain, rice field, street, and industrial areas. The controlled experiments were carried out by varying the chromium contamination (1 and 3 ppm) and magnesium nutrition (0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 g/L) in planting media. The controlled experiment was compared with the results of field observation in several chromium-polluted areas. The effect of the treatment was analyzed based on the chlorophyll and magnesium levels in the leaves in comparison with the chromium levels in the planting medium. The results of observation and controlled experiments showed that the accumulation of chromium in plants affected the absorption of magnesium, which also affected chlorophyll formation and thus disrupted plant growth. The high chromium level (3 ppm) and magnesium level in planting media can reduce the accumulation of chromium in kale stems and leaves by 19% and 33%, respectively, increase magnesium absorption on kale stems and leaves by 7% and 5%, respectively, and increase chlorophyll formation on kale stems and leaves by 12% and 11%, respectively. Field observation in several chromium-polluted areas showed that spinach has a better chromium accumulation tolerance than kale in terms of magnesium absorption. The type of planting media, plant species, and the presence of other metal contaminants also affect chromium accumulation, magnesium absorption, and chlorophyll level.

Abstract

he excessive use of chemicals for vegetable cultivation in Karangrejo, North Metro threatens the sustainability of agriculture. The high control of pests, weeds, and labor costs causes farmers to use chemicals and doses tend to increase, which poses a risk to consumers. PKM objectives: 1. Organic cultivation, 2. Training on post-harvest innovation on washing, packing, labeling, and packaging variations. 3. Variations of processed organic vegetables: ice cream and nuggets. 4. Development of offline and online marketing. Activities during July-September 2022, to 15 members of the Hijau Daun farmers group, with assistance/training on organic cultivation, post-harvest with the application of Pumakkal Liquid Fertilizer Production of PT. Pumahitari University of Muhammadiyah Metro, making ice cream and vegetable nuggets, offline and online sales practices. Activity results: 1. Farmer groups know and are capable of environmentally friendly organic cultivation. 2. Able to make compost and liquid fertilizer and 9 types of vegetables obtained Prima 3.3 certificate. Able to make ready-to-cook packages, Hida ice cream, and nuggets and use the web.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan budidaya sistem intensif tambak telah menimbulkan permasalahan penurunan daya dukung tambak udang. Dampak di antaranya terjadi penumpukan limbah termasuk ditemukannya polutan logam berat, serangan penyakit, produktivitas udang menurun. Langkah antisipasi melalui penerapan teknologi budidaya yang berprinsip keberlanjutan ekosistem diharapkan menjadi solusi untuk mencegah kerusakan yang lebih besar. Diantaranya melalui aplikasi probiotik dan rempah pakan tambahan yang memiliki kemampuan menjaga kualitas air tambak, mengurangi mikroorganisme patogen, meningkatkan produktivitas udang dalam rangka menciptakan sistem tambak berkelanjutan yang dari segi ekonomi juga menguntungkan. Tujuan pengabdian memberikan penguatan mengelola tambak sehingga menumbuhkan budaya mengelola tambak ramah lingkungan melalui kecerdasan kearifan lokal masyarakat Pasir Sakti dalam memanfaatkan rempah probiotik untuk menjadi inisiasi penyediaan bahan pangan sehat halalan thoyyiban. Metode pengabdian adalah praktik mengaplikasikan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, wawancara, observasi dalam keterlibatan masyarakatnya mengelola tambak yang memanfaatkan probiotik dan rempah lokal. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan: 1) Pemahaman mengelola tambak sebagai inisiasi tambak berkelanjutan sudah baik; 2) Pemahaman praktik pembuatan probiotik dan rempah pakan tambahan sudah baik; 3) Kurangnya kesadaran pengelolaan tambak sebagai wujud usaha penanganan tambak penyedia pangan halalan thoyiban. Perlu pemahaman akademis yang agamis didasarkan pada kearifan lokal, agar kesadaran pengelolaan tambak secara berkelanjutan dapat ditumbuhkan.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of guided discovery learning on the critical thinking skills of students in class VIII Science in SMP N 2 Raman Utara. This type of research is experimental with a design using Posttest Only Control, Researchers use instruments in the form of essay test items (descriptions) that are used by researchers to measure students’ abilities after carrying out the learning process using a guided Discovery Learning. Researchers used 2 groups with research design, namely the control group using the Direct Learning model with the question and answer method and the experimental group using guided Discovery Learning with the group discussion method. The research data is tested for hypotheses with the similarity test of two averages. The test results with the normality test show = 9,93 > X2daf = 11,07 α = 0.05, then, in the similarity test two t-count average > t-daf is 17,9 < 2,01 (= 5%). So there is an influence of guided Discovery Learning on students' critical thinking skills at SMP N 2 Raman Utara.

Abstract

Jagung manis merupakan bahan pangan kedua terpenting setelah beras, sehingga permintaan jagung manis terus meningkat. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Lahan Kebun Percobaan Kalibening PekalonganLampung Timur, bulan Mei-Agustus 2023. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAL) dengan dua faktor pupuk organik cair Pumakkal (P) dan Pupuk Kimia (K) 6 taraf perlakuan yaitu P0= tanpa pupuk (kontrol), P1= 100%P, P2= 100%K,P3= 30%P70%K, P4= 70%P30%K dan P5=50%P50%K. Setiap perlakuan diulang 5 kali diperoleh 30 satuanpercobaan. Pelaksanaan penelitian meliputi Penyiapan media, penanaman satu benih satu lubang, pemupukanpada umur 10, 25 dan 50 HST, pemeliharaan dan panen umur 72 HST. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberianpupuk pumakkal 50% dan kimia 50% (P5) pada jagung manis parameter tinggi tanaman 107,5 cm, diametertertinggi mencapai 2.1 cm, jumlah daun 11,1. Produksi jagung manis perlakuan P5 mengalami peningkatan 125g tongkol berkelobot pada kontrol meningkat rata-rata 98%.

Abstract

Globalisasi tidak terbatas berpengaruh kepada teknologi dan digitalisasi. Kemudahan komunikasi antar daerah dan negara dalam mengenalkan jenis pangan, khususnya kepada kaum muda yang lebih terbuka oleh media sosial, memungkinkan mempengaruhi pola makannya. Pada akhirnya, efek globalisasi juga mempengaruhi trend manusia dalam mengkonsumsi suatu pangan. Komunikasi, informasi, dan edukasi diharapkan bisa memperkaya literasi, sehingga ketika makan, hendaknya mempedulikan tentang yang dimakan. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan sasaran remaja dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya dan kearifan lokal sehingga menjadi inisiasi mewujudkan profetis pangan utamanya kepada masyarakat muda, untuk dapat memilih dan memilah pangan yang baik dan benar. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah memberikan penyuluhan dengan bantuan video teknologi tepat guna pengelolaan pangan sehat, angket semi terbuka yang dikombinasi dengan tanya jawab/wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan responden sebelum mendapatkan penyuluhan teori dan praktik pengelolaan pangan masuk dalam kriteria buruk (58,75), setelah mengikuti penyuluhan peduli pangan masuk dalam kriteria baik (77,4), mengalami peningkatan 33,99% dalam mempedulikan bahan pangan yang dikonsumsi, tetapi belum sepenuhnya memahami budaya dan kearifan lokal yang dapat dipedomani dalam memilih pangan untuk dikonsumsi lebih baik, menyehatkan dan memberi manfaat bagi kesehatan tubuh secara berkelanjutan.
