Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effect of guided inquiry based student worksheet in increasing inferring and communicating skills on electrolite and non-electrolite solution topic. Population in this study was all students of class X MIPA SMA YP Unila Bandarlampung. Samples in this study were students of class X MIPA 8 as experimental class and students of class X MIPA 2 as control class which obtained by purposive sampling technique. The research method was quasi experiment with non equivalence pretest-posttest control group design. The result showed that n-gain average in experiment class is higher than control class, it confirmed that guided inquiry based student worksheet was effective in increasing inferring and communicating skills on electrolite and non-electrolite solution topic. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menyimpulkan dan mengomunikasikan pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X MIPA SMA YP Unila Bandarlampung. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, siswa kelas X MIPA 8 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non equivalence pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain dari kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol, hal ini menunjukkan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menyimpulkan dan mengomunikasikan pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolitKata kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan mengomunikasikan, keterampilan menyimpulkan, lembar kerja siswa

Abstract

The purpose of this research is describe the effectiveness of problem solving learning on the acid-base in improving high order thinking skills based on gender.  The research method is quasi experiment with pretest-posttest controlgroup design (factorial 2 x 2). The sample of this study was chosen based on purposive sampling technique is XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3.  Data analysis with two way ANOVA using SPSS 24.00 for windows.  Based on the result of data analysis summarized that there is no interaction between learning model and gender of students’ high order thinking skills on acid-base.  Problem solving learning is effective to improving high order thinking skills on acid-base.  Percentage n-gain high categoryin high order thinking skills of male students is higher than percentage n-gain high category in high order thinking skills of female students with problem solving learning on acid-base.Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan efektivitas problem solving materi asam-basa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi ditinjau dari jenis kelamin.  Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan teknik Purposive sampling yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA.  Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis varians dua jalur (two way ANOVA) program SPSS 24.00 for windows.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan jenis kelamin terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa materi asam-basa.  Model problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa materi asam-basa.  Persentase n-gain kategori tinggi keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa laki-laki lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan persentase n-gain kategori tinggi siswa perempuan dengan pembelajaran problem solving materi asam-basa.Kata Kunci: model problem solving, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, jenis kelamin, asam-basa.

Abstract

Most of the concepts in chemistry are abstract. So the potential misconception that is common to the students, so it is necessary to develop the learning medium, especially in the student worksheet. This study aims to develop student works-heet based on science process skills. In this study, using the method of research and development (Research and Development) by Borg Gall and Gall, 1989 (Sukmadinata, 2009). Results of student worksheets developed are student worksheets that can measure students' science process skills. Furthermore performed limited testing to see what students and teachers based on student worksheets science process skills are developed. Limited testing done at one school in the town of Bandar Lampung. Based on limited testing for teachers on aspects of compliance content, readability, and the construction of the student worksheet based on science process skills obtained results respectively 90%, 85%, and 88.88%. While the limited testing conducted for the students to aspects kemenarikan, legibility and keterlaksanaan the student worksheet based on science process skills acquired respectively 88.93%, 87.85%, and 100%. Based on these results can be simpulankan the student worksheet based on science process skills can increase student interest and may assist students in the mastery of concept sespecially inacid-base material.Keywords: student worksheet, science process skills, acid-base.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has changed from offline learning to online learning because of the corona virus. The corona virus has been endemic in Indonesia since early March 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed various aspects of human life, including in the field of education. This condition causes all elements of education to utilize ICT for use in the learning process. One of the uses of ICT can be applied to the development of learning resources. The learning process during the pandemic requires learning resources that are interesting, fun, and in accordance with the applicable curriculum. This research is a type of development research that aims to describe the validity, teacher responses, and student responses to e-books on chemical equilibrium material for online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is the Research and Development (RD) method. E-book developed using book creator application. Based on the results of expert validation of the developed e-book, an average percentage of 76.29% was obtained with high criteria in the aspect of content suitability. In the construction aspect of 82.95%, readability of 82.22%, and attractiveness of 83.8%, all three have very high criteria. The results of the teacher's response to the suitability aspect of the material content are 86.67%, readability is 85.6%, and attractiveness is 86.8%, all three have very high criteria. The results of students' responses to the readability aspect were 84.5% and attractiveness was 83.9%, both of which had very high criteria. Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the effectiveness of guided discovery learning in improving concept mastery in hydrocarbon material.  The guided discovery learning consists of 3 phases; they are exploration, discovery and concept application, and evaluation.  Population in this research was all 360 Grade X students in State Senior High School 12 in Bandar Lampung in academic year 2011-2012 which were distributed in 10 classrooms; from classroom X1 to X10. Classroom X5 and X10 were used as samples which were collected with purposive sampling.  This research used quasi experiment method and non equivalent control group design.  Effectiveness of guided discovery learning was measured based on N-Gain values.  The results showed that the classroom with guided discovery learning possessed higher concept mastery than classrooms with conventional learning.  The averages of N-Gain values for student’s concept mastery for experiment and control classrooms were 0.539 and 0.402 respectively.   This indicated that the guided discovery learning was more effective in improving student’s concept mastery in hydrocarbon material.   Kata kunci:         pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing, penguasaan konsep,    hidrokarbon

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of ADI learning model on mastery of student concepts on additive and addictive substances. The research method used is quasi experiment with pretest postest non equivalent control group design. The sample in this research is the students of class VIII.3 as experimental class and VIII.4 as control class at SMP Global Madani Bandar Lampung obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used in this research is Ankova test and difference test of two mean. The results of this study appear as the mean differences of n-Gain concepts mastery of students in experiment classes are significantly higher than the control class both in general and from gender. The conclusion of this study is that ADI learning model is effective in increasing students’ concept mastery regarding additive and addictive substances based on students’ gender.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran ADI terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest postest non equivalent control group design.Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII.4 sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Global Madani Bandar Lampungyang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling.Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji Ankova dan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata. Hasil penelitian efektivitas model pembelajaran ADI, ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain pengua-saan konsep siswa kelas eksperimen secara signifikan lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol,baik secara umum maupun dari gender. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran dengan model ADI efektif meningkatkan penguasaan konsep materi zat aditif dan adiktif ditinjau berdasarkan gender siswa.Kata Kunci: gender, model ADI, penguasaan konsep, zat aditif dan adiktif.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of POGIL model to increase science process skills (SPS) in electrolyte and non electrolyte solution topic.  The  population  of this  research  was  all  tenth  grade  of  science  students.  The sampling used purposive sampling technique and obtained class X Science 4 as the experimental class and X Science 2 as the control class. This method of this research is Quasi Experiment with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data analysis used two difference on average test used the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that the average n-gain of SPS students in the experimental class was higher than the average n-gain of SPS students in the control class. Based on these results it can be concluded that learning with POGIL model is effective to increase science process skills in electrolyte and non electrolyte solution topic.Keywords: electrolyte and non electrolyte solution, POGIL model, and SPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model POGIL dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X IPA. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas X IPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Eksperimen dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Analisis data menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata yang menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain KPS siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada rata-rata n-gain KPS siswa kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model POGIL efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.Kata Kunci: KPS, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit, dan model POGIL.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the Learning Cycle three-phase (LC 3E)  learning model that are effective in improving the prediction skills and concept’ mastery on acid-base material. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. This research use a quasi-experimental methods with Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sample in this research is students of State Senior High School 1 Pekalongan in East Lampung and obtained XI sains 1 and XI sains 4 class at school year 2013-2014 which has almost the same characteristics. The effectiveness of LC 3E learning model measured on the difference and the improvement of a significant gain. The results showed the average value of n-Gain prediction skills for control class and experiment class are 0.37 and 0.62, and the average value of n-Gain concept’ mastery for control class and experiment class are 0.53 and 0.65. Based on the test of the hypothesis, it is known that a class with LC 3E learning model has prediction skills and concept’ mastery higher than conventional class learning. This showed that the LC 3E learning was more effective in improving the prediction skills and concept’s  mastery.Keywords: Learning Cycle three-phase, the prediction skills, and concept’ mastery.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to develop and produce module solubility and constant solubility product based on the multiple representation, to describe the characteristic of the module, the responses of teacher and students, obstacles encountered and supporting factors in the development of module solubility and constant solubility product based on the multiple representation. In this study, the research uses the method of research and development (RD). Based on the result of questionnaire about the module on aspects of content suitability to curriculum, and graphics by teacher as respondent obtained result percentage respectively 90% and 93% with a very high criteria.  Result of responses questionnaire about readability aspects with students as respondent obtained result 85,32% with a very high criteria.  Based on the result, it can be concluded that the developed module has very high quality which were attractive, appropriate with material, and readable.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan modul kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan berbasis multipel representasi, mendeskripsikan karakteristik modul, tanggapan guru dan siswa, kendala-kendala dan faktor-faktor pendukung dalam pengembangan modul kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan berbasis multipel representasi ini.  Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD).  Berdasarkan hasil angket tanggapan terhadap modul pada aspek kesesuaian isi, dan grafika dengan guru sebagai responden diperoleh persentase masing-masing 90% dan 93% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Hasil angket tanggapan terhadap aspek keterbacaan modul dengan siswa sebagai responden diperoleh hasil 85,23% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Berdasarkan tanggapan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas yang sangat tinggi yaitu menarik, sesuai materi, dan terbaca dengan jelas. Kata kunci:kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, modul, multipel representasi.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe effectiveness of ADI learning model to improve students critical thinking skills based on academic ability on additive and addictive topic.  This research used quasi experiment method with Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design.  Samples was selected by purposive sampling, obtained by class VIII G as experiment class and VIII B as control class.Instruments used were students worksheets based on ADI learning model, pretest and postets.  Data analysis techniques used were ankova test and t-test.  Result of research showed that value of n-gain critical thinking skills were using ADI learning model are higher than using the conventional learning.  The conclusion in this research are ADI learning model was effective to improve the critical thingking skills students based oacademic ability on additive and addictive topic. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas model pembelajaran ADI dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan akademik pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperiment dengan Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design.  Sampel dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling, diperoleh kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol.  Instrument yang digunakan adalah LKPD dengan model ADI, soal pretes dan postes.  Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Ankova dan uji-t.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai n-gainketerampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ADI lebih tinggi daripada menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.  Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah  pembelajaran model ADI efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan akademik pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif.Kata kunci: kemampuan akademik, keterampilan berpikir kritis, model pembelajaran ADI.
