Abstract

The aimed of research was to describe the increase of communicating skills and mastery of concept on acid-base material on Learning Cycle 5E model.  Quasi experimental method was used in this research, with Non-Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design.  The population of this research was students of XI science SMAN 1 Kotaagung, Tanggamus, with XI science 1 class and XI science 2 class as samples.  The increase of communicating skills and mastery of concept measured base on the difference of a significant normalized gain (n-Gain).  The results show that mean value of n-Gain communicating skills in experimental class and control class ware 0.81 and 0.71;  and mean value of n-Gain mastery of concept in experimental class and control class ware 0.68 and 0.45.  Based on hypotesis testing used t-test, it was conclude that Learning Cycle 5E model could increase communicating skills and mastery of concept.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan mengkomunikasi-kan dan penguasaan konsep pada materi asam-basa melalui model Learning Cycle 5E.  Pe-nelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non-Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Kotaagung, Tanggamus dengan kelas XI IPA1 dan kelas XI IPA2 sebagai sampel.  Peningkat-an keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan penguasaan konsep diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata n-Gain keterampilan mengkomunikasikan untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,81 dan 0,71; serta re-rata n-Gain penguasaan konsep untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,68 dan 0,45.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, didapat kesimpulan bahwa model Learning Cycle 5E dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan penguasaan konsep.Kata kunci:  keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E, penguasaan konsep.

Abstract

In December 2019, there was an outbreak of a virus known as Covid-10. To prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia, the government made a Work From Home (WFH) policy. The existence of this WFH policy has an impact on the education sector, namely on the implementation of teaching and learning activities which were originally face-to-face to be changed online. Online learning on osmotic pressure material is still lacking in resources. The purpose of this research was to develop an e-book on the subject of osmotic pressure, describe the validity, teacher responses, and student responses. The research method used is Research and Development according to Borg and Gall until the fifth stage. The results of expert validation of e-books on aspects of the suitability of the content of the material, aspects of readability, and aspects of design attractiveness obtained high criteria. The results of the teacher's responses on the attractiveness aspect of the material content, the readability aspect, and the attractiveness aspect obtained very high criteria. The results of student responses on the readability aspect and the attractiveness aspect obtained very high criteria. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the ability of students to give reason and interpreting a statement on the acid-base matery through the application of guided inquiry for students groups of high, intermediate and low level group.  The subjects were students of class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Sribhawono. This research used the pre-experimental method  with a one-shot case study design.  It was a descriptive research.  Based on the result of data analysis summarized that ability of give reasons in high level group: mainly were very good and the others were good .  In  intermediate level group, almost half were enough, mainly were good and the others were very good.  In low level group, almost half were enough, mainly were good and the others were very good.  The ability of interpreting a statement in high level group: mainly were very good and the others were good. In  intermediate level group, just small part were excellent, almost half were good, and the others were enough.  In low level group, just small part were excellent, almost half were good and the others were enough.  Therefore, guided inquiry learning can be developing students' ability to give reasons and interpreting a statement.Kata kunci:  pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, kemampuan memberikan alasan, menginterpretasi suatu pernyataan, kelompok kognitif.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of advance organizer learning model to enhance the skill of reporting observation result and giving reason skill on the material of solubility and solubility product. The subject in this research were students XI grade of Science 3 SMA N 7 Bandarlampung, Academic Year 2011/2012.  This research used a pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The effectiveness of advance organizer learning model was measured by the N-gain mean.  Based on the results of this research, the average of N-gain value for reporting observation result skill is 0,67 and the average of N-gain value for giving reason skill is 0,54. This shows that (1) a model of advance organizer is effective to enhance the skill of reporting observation result in the medium category (2) a model of advance organizeris effective to enhance the skill of giving reason in the medium category.Keywords: Advance Organizer learning model, the observation result report skill and the give reason skill

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the  skills grouping and inference on any material oxidation-reduction with a model of the problem solving, for a group of high of medium and low.  The subjects were students of class X4 SMAN 4 Kotabumi. This research used the pre-experimental method, a one-shot case study design, and analysis of data statistics descriptive. An research results of analysis learning matter oxidation-reduction with model of the problem solving show that high skill grouping obtained a group of 50%  were excellent, 50% were good; to a group being 20% were excellent, 53% were good, and 27% were enough; in the group of low 11% were excellent, 11% were good, 45% were enough and 33% were less.  In skill inference obtained a group of high 83% were excellent, 17% were good; to a group being, 20% were excellent, 47% were good, and 33% were enough; in the group of low, 33% were good, 45% were enough, and 22% were less. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan inferensi pada materi oksidasi-reduksi dengan model pembelajaran problem solving untuk kelompok siswa kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah.  Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X4  SMAN 4 Kotabumi.  Penelitian ini menggu­na­kan metode pre-eksperimen, desain one shot case study, dan analisis data statistik deskrip­tif.  Hasil penelitian analisis pembelajaran materi oksidasi-reduksi dengan model pembelajaran problem solving menun­juk­kan bahwa keterampilan mengelompokkan diperoleh kelompok tinggi 50% berkriteria sangat baik, 50% baik; ke­lom­pok sedang 20% sangat baik, 53% baik dan 27% cukup; kelompok rendah 11% sangat baik, 11% baik, 45% cukup, dan 33% kurang.  Pada keterampilan inferensi diperoleh kelom­pok tinggi 83% berkriteria sangat baik, 17% baik; kelompok sedang 20% sangat baik, 47% baik, dan 33% cukup; kelompok rendah 33% baik, 45% cukup, dan 22% kurang. Kata kunci: problem solving, kelompok kognitif, keterampilan mengelompokkan, keterampilan inferensi, oksidasi-reduksi

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effectiveness of Learning Cycle 6E model to improve inferring skill and koloid concept mastery. This reseach uses Quasi Experimental Method and Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was students of XI science SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung, with XI science 2 class and XI science 4 as samples. The effectiveness of Learning Cycle 6E model was measured based on the difference of a significant N-gain and t test. The results showed that average value of N-gain of concept mastery in experiment and control class were 0.73 and 0.58 respectively; and average value of N-gain for inferring skill in experiment and control class were 0.75 and 0.56 respectively.  Based on t test, it was concluded that learning cycle 6E model could increase inferring skill and koloid concept mastery.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model Learning Cycle 6E dalam meningkatkan keterampilan inferensi dan penguasaan konsep koloid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung, dengan kelas XI IPA2 dan kelas XI IPA4 sebagai sampel. Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model on additive and addictive substances in improving students' critical thinking skills in terms of gender. The research method used is quasi experiment with non equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. The sample of this research is class VIII.1 as experimental class and VIII.4 as control class at SMP Global Madani Bandar Lampung with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used in this research is ankova test and difference of two mean. The results showed that n-Gain critical thinking skills of male and female students of the experimental class were significantly higher than n-Gain male and female students of the control class with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Based on these results it is concluded that ADI learning model on additive and addictive substances is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in terms of gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran ADI (Argument Driven Inquiry) pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjau dari gender.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan non equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII.4 sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Global Madani Bandar Lampung dengan teknik purposive sampling. Abstract

This research was conducted to describe effectiveness of advance organizer learning model in improving skill in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion. Subject in this research was Grade XI students in classroom IPA3 in State Senior High School 7 in Bandar Lampung in even semester of academic year 2011-2012. This research used pre-experiment method with One-group Pretest-posttest design. Effectiveness of advance organizer learning model was indicated by improvement of n-gain values of pretest and posttest. The n-gain estimation results were subsequently interpreted with n-gain index suggested by Hake. The research results showed that the averages of ­n-gain of skill in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion were 0.55 (middle category) and 0.47 (middle category) respectively. The conclusion is that the advance organizerlearning model is effective in improving skills of expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion.Keywords: advance organizer learning model, skills in expressing hypothesis and drawing conclusion

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of students worksheets in improving students science process skills (SPS) of male and female students. The 2x2 factorial design was used in this research. The population in this research were students of class XI science at SMAN 16 Bandar Lampung on academic year 2016-2017. The sample in this research were students of class XI science 4 and XI science 6 that was taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this research were student worksheet based on SPS and conventional, pretes and postest questions and attitude assessment sheet. Two ways ANOVA test and t test were used as data analysis technique. The results showed that SPS based on students worksheets effective in improving students SPS of male and female students compared to conventional students worksheets. There was no interaction between learning by students worksheets and gender to SPS.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas LKS dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain faktorial 2x2. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN 16 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016-2017. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 4 dan XI IPA 6 yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah LKS berbasis KPS dan konvensional, soal pretes dan postes, serta lembar penilaian sikap. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah ANOVA dua jalur dan uji t . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS berbasis KPS efektif dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa laki-laki dan perempuan dibandingkan dengan LKS konvensional. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran menggunakan LKS dengan jenis kelamin terhadap KPS siswa.Kata kunci: asam-basa, jenis kelamin siswa, KPS, LKS

Abstract

The aim of this research is enhancing the skills inference and a mastery the concept in guided inquiry model. Population in this research is all the students class X MA N 1 Bandar Lampung first half of the academic year 2011-2012 class X.7 and X.8as a sample. A method of this research is a quasi of his experiments with non equivalent control group design. The effectiveness of learning is measured based on comparative the difference in value pretest and posttest to within the maximum value by the aceh-nias pretes. The result showed the value of average n-gain skill inference for class control and experimentation is -0,65 and 0.61. While the value of average n-gain mastery of the concept of to a class of control and experimentation is 0.18 and 0,55. Based on the testing of hypotheses, it is concluded that the classroom with a model of learning inkuiri terbimbing have the skills inference and a mastery the concept of higher than the classroom with vote was taken.It showed that the model of inquiri terbimbing on any material hydrocarbon more effective in increasing skill inference and a mastery concept students learning than conventionalKeyword: Guided Inquiry Learning, skill inference, mastery concept
