Abstract

Literasi numerasi diperlukan oleh siswa SMA untuk mempersiapkan diri dalam menempuh pendidikan tinggi atau memasuki dunia kerja pada abad 21 yang dapat diukur dengan tes AKM konten aljabar. Perbedaan kemampuan matematika siswa SMA menyebabkan perbedaan tingkat literasi numerasi yang dicapai. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan literasi numerasi siswa SMA dalam menyelesaikan soal AKM konten aljabar berdasarkan kemampuan matematika. Lokasi penelitian adalah SMAN 2 Jember dengan subjek penelitian adalah tiga siswa kelas XI MIPA 5 yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tulis dan wawancara yang kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan indikator literasi numerasi pada proses kognitif pemahaman, penerapan, dan penalaran; dilakukan member check; menyajikan data, serta melakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi dikategorikan pada tingkat literasi numerasi mahir dan memenuhi seluruh indikator proses kognitif. Siswa dengan kemampuan matematika sedang dikategorikan pada tingkat literasi numerasi cakap dan hanya memenuhi indikator proses kognitif pemahaman dan penerapan. Siswa dengan kemampuan matematika rendah dikategorikan pada tingkat literasi numerasi dasar dan hanya memenuhi indikator proses kognitif pemahaman dan dua indikator proses kognitif penerapan. Dengan demikian, penggunaan soal dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari diperlukan untuk mengasah literasi numerasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan konteks dunia nyata.   Numeracy literacy is needed by high school students to prepare themselves for higher education or entering the workforce in the 21st century which can be measured by the AKM test on algebra content. Differences in the mathematical abilities of high school students cause differences in the level of numeracy literacy achieved. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with the aim of describing the numeracy literacy of high school students in solving AKM questions on algebra content based on mathematical ability. The research location is SMAN 2 Jember with the research subjects are three students of class XI MIPA 5 selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through written tests and interviews which were then analyzed based on numeracy literacy indicators on cognitive processes of understanding, application, and reasoning; member checks were conducted; presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that students with high mathematics ability were categorized at the advanced numeracy literacy level because they met all the cognitive process indicators. Students with moderate mathematics ability are categorized at the proficient numeracy literacy level because they only fulfill the cognitive process indicators of understanding and application. Students with low mathematics ability are categorized at the basic numeracy literacy level because they only fulfill the cognitive process indicators of understanding and two cognitive process indicators of application. Thus, the use of problems with the context of everyday life is needed to hone students' numeracy literacy in solving problems with real-world contexts.

Abstract

Creative thinking is the ability that every person has to come up with new thoughts and look at problems from various points of view, so that various solutions are obtained to solve a problem. In the Merdeka Belajar curriculum, which has now been implemented at various levels of education, creative thinking is one aspect of the assessment. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of the Osborn learning model on students' ability to think creatively at SMAN 2 Jember on quadratic function material. This research was carried out experimentally and was designed based on quasi experimental research. The design form of this research is a nonequivalent control-group design with data collection methods by applying methods in the form of written tests, documentation and observation. The samples involved were two classes chosen randomly after it was stated that the mathematical abilities of all class X were homogeneous. The two classes are class X.8 and class X.10. Class X.8 as an experimental class implements the Osborn learning model, while class X.10 as a control class implements conventional learning. The data analysis used is the prerequisite tests including normality and homogeneity tests, Independent Sample T-Test or Mann-Whitney test, Right Side T-test, and N-Gain test. Based on these statistical tests, it was concluded that implementing the Osborn learning model in the experimental class had a more significant and positive effect on creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil pengembangan berupa konversi level kemampuan literasi matematika, kisi-kisi soal model PISA, paket soal model PISA. Ketiga tahapan uji coba adalah one-to-one , group, dan field test. Tahapan one-to-one yangdiujikan pada 4 siswa kelas IX, tahapan group diujikan pada 8 siswa kelas IX, dan tahapan field test diujikan pada seluruh siswa kelas IXA. Siswa yang diambil pada setiap tahapan adalah siswa yang berbeda. Ketiga tahapan ini menghasilkan koefisien validitas paket soal A yang terdiri dari 8,33% sangat rendah, 8,33% rendah, 25% sedang, 33,33% tinggi dan 25% sangat tinggi, sedangkan pada paket B terdiri dari 33,33% rendah, 50% tinggi, dan 16,67% sangat tinggi; reliabilitas paket soal A  sebesar 0,87247 dengan interpretasi sangat tinggi sedangkan paket B sebesar 0,78634 dengan interpretasi tinggi; tingkat kesukaran pada paket A terdiri dari 83,33% soal kategori sedang, dan 16,67% soal kategori sukar, sedangkan paket B terdiri dari 33,33% soal kategori mudah, 58,33% soal kategori sedang, dan 8,33% soal kategori sukar; daya pembeda paket soal A terdiri dari 8,33% jelek, 16,67% cukup baik, 25% baik dan 50% sangat baik, sedangkan paket soal B terdiri dari 16,67% jelek, 8,33% cukup baik, 33,33% baik dan 41,67% sangat baik; level literasi matematika seluruh siswa yang diuji adalah 50% siswa berlevel di bawah 1, 7,14% siswa berlevel 1, 9,52% siswa berlevel 2, 16,67% siswa berlevel 3, 2,38% siswa berlevel 4, 4,76% siswa berlevel 5, dan 9,52% siswa berlevel 6. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa paket tes ini sudah dapat disebarluaskan. Kata Kunci: PISA, Paket Soal, Literasi Matematika.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat berpikir geometri siswa kelas VII-B SMP Negeri 1 Jember berdasarkan teori van Hiele yang ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif . Berdasarkan hasil analisis jawaban soal tes dan hasil wawancara diperoleh tingkat berpikir geometri van Hiele pada siswa kelas VII-B SMP N 1 Jember secara umum mencapai tingkat 3 yaitu deduksi, namun mayoritas siswa memiliki tingkat berpikir geometri van Hiele pada tingkat 2 yaitu deduksi informal. Siswa yang mencapai tingkat 3. Siswa dengan hasil belajar tinggi dapat mencapai tingkat 3 sebanyak 4 siswa, tingkat 2 sebanyak 9 siswa, dan tingkat 1 sebanyak 2 siswa, sehingga siswa dengan hasil belajar tinggi cenderung memiliki tingkat berpikir van Hiele pada tingkat 2.Siswa dengan hasil belajar sedang dapat mencapai tingkat 3 sebanyak 1 siswa, tingkat 2 sebanyak 12 siswa, tingkat 1 sebanyak 1 siswa, dan tingkat 0 sebanyak 3 siswa, sehingga siswa dengan hasil belajar sedang cenderung memiliki tingkat berpikir van Hiele pada tingkat 2.Siswa dengan hasil belajar rendah dapat mencapai tingkat 2 sebanyak 1 siswa, tingkat 1 sebanyak 1 siswa, dan tingkat 0 sebanyak 1 siswa, sehingga siswa dengan hasil belajar rendah memiliki tingkat berpikir geometri van Hiele yang bervariasi. Abstract

Penelitian ini berhubungan dengan Penalaran Logis dalam Memecahkan Masalah Matematika Pokok Bahasan Aritmatika Sosial pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Jember. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penalaran logis siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah tes dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dalam memecahkan permasalahan dari tes penalaran logis pokok bahasan aritmatika, kecenderungan siswa mampu memenuhi keseluruhan indikator penalaran logis. Siswa mampu melakukan setiap tahapan penalaran logis dengan baik. Indikator penalaran logis yang dimaksud yaitu siswa mampu mengumpulkan fakta, siswa mampu membangun dan menetapkan asumsi, siswa mampu menilai atau menguji asumsi, siswa mampu menetapkan generalisasi, siswa mampu membangun argumen yang mendukung, siswa mampu memeriksa atau menguji kebenaran argumen, dan siswa mampu menetapkan kesimpulan. Kata Kunci: Aritmatika Sosial, Memecahkan Masalah, Penalaran Logis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematika siswa kelas IX A MTs Negeri 1 Jember, dalam menyelesaikan soal kubus dan balok. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan koneksi matematika dan pedoman wawancara. Dari 26 siswa kelas IX A terdapat 7 orang siswa yang memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematika tinggi, 18 orang siswa memiliki kemampuan koneksi sedang, dan seorang siswa memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematika rendah. Sesuai dengan ketentuan yang telah ditetapkan dalam penelitian ini maka diambil 5 orang siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Dari 5 orang subjek tersebut 2 siswa memilki kemampuan koneksi matematika tinggi, 2 siswa memilki kemampuan koneksi matematika sedang, dan seorang siswa memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematika rendah. siswa yang berkemampuan koneksi matematika tinggi mempunyai konkesi sangat baik dengan memenuhi 3 indikator kemampuan koneksi matematika. siswa yang berkemampuan koneksi matematika sedang memenuhi 2 indikator kemampuan koneksi matematika. siswa yang berkemampuan koneksi matematika rendah tidak memenuhi 3 indikator kemampuan koneksi matematika. Abstract

High order thinking skill is the ability to complete the tasks where there is no algorithm that have been taught, that need justification or explanation and probably have more than one solution probability. High thinking skill ability is the ability that consists of analysis, evaluation and creation. Emotional intelligence is the individual intelligence in recognizing self-emotion, motivate yourself, control others emotion and foster relationships with others. Lesson study learning community is the collaborative learning from Japan. The aim of this research is to describe the process of student’s high order thinking skill in solving probability problem on LSLC based learning on emotional intelligence. The subject of this research started from giving emotional intelligence questionnaire, next the learning activity based on LSLC where the students work collaboratively on high order thinking questions on the students’ worksheet that consists of 3 questions covering question number 1 is question of analyzing, question number 2 is question of evaluating and question number 3 is question of creating, it was obtained the subject of 1 student with low emotional intelligence, 1 student with moderate emotional intelligence and 1 student with high emotional intelligence. From those three subjects, it was obtained 1 student with high emotional intelligence that has high order thinking skill, while 1 student with moderate emotional intelligence and 1 student with low emotional intellegence that did not have high order thinking skill. Abstract

This research purpose to describe metacognition in solving Open Ended SPLDV Problems Based on Sensing Intuition personality. This research type is qualitatif descriptive conducted in class VIII I SMP Negeri 1 Purwosari. Subjects of this research consist of 3 students with Sensing personality and 3 students with Intuition personality selected based on the highest score on personality type. Six students will solve Open Ended problem and inteview. The results showed that students sensing type receive information based on the facts, while students Intuition type personality found a correlation based on information. Students Sensing type only solve Open Ended problems using two different methods the teacher had been taught, while students Intuition type able to solve Open Ended problems using new methods and able to explain solution more than two correctly answers. On the worksheet students Sensing type tend to be systematic, while students Intuition type tend to be not systematis. Although there is a difference metacognition activities in solving Open Ended SPLDV problems, students with Sensing and Intuition personality able to meet all indicator metacognition planning, monitoring, and evaluating.

Abstract

Abstract.The purpose of this research to determine the factors affecting student achievement and the most dominant factor, especially in Mathematics Education Program of FKIP in Jember University. The populations of this research were all students of class 2005, 2006, and 2007 at Mathematics Education Program in Jember University that were 318 students, 178students as samples. This research used two variables: the independent variable (intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, methods of learning, teaching methods,use of leisure time, physical learning environment, family economic circumstances, and physical factors) and the dependent variable (student achievement). The collecting technique data used were questionnaires and documentary. Based on logistic regression analysis obtained extrinsic factors, physical learning environment, family economic circumstances, and physical factors having significant influences and the most dominant factor was physical learning environment variables, where as intrinsic motivation factors, learning method, teaching methods, and theuse of leisure time weren’t significantin determining student achievement. Abstract

Abstract. Ethnomathematic is a study done for examines how a group of people in particular culture comprehending, expressing and applying the mathematic concept and use on culture which described mathematically by the researcher. The aim of this research for describing kind of ethnomathematic activity of Javanese in Setail Village. This research is a qualitative ethnographic approach. How to capture the subject of research by the snowball technique, that is by looking one by one the subject prior to the data obtained experiencing saturation point and limited to 7 farmers. The result of this research shown there are mathematic applied on farming done by farmer of Setail Village. They are enumerating, counting, measuring, and designing. Rice farmers of Javanese in Setail Village always use the standard size of land area “seprapat bau” to count and measure in a variety of activities such as determining the amount of fertilizer, medicine, seed number, and number of workers. Counting activities shown when the farmer chopping the frequency of fertilization and seed treatment and plant rice. Designing activities shown when farmers designing farming tool called kerek.
