Abstract

Salah lsatu ikemampuan lmatematis lyang diperlukan dalam lpembelajaran !matematika lyaitu lkemampuan komunikasi1 matematis. Kemampuan1 ini !dibagi menjadi dua yaitu tulis_dan_lisan. Penelitian ini  akan lebih fokus pada kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis. Kemampuan ini memiliki tiga aspek yaitu written text, drawing, dan mathematical ekspression. Kemampuan ini dipengaruhi oleh aspek afektif seperti self concept. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil lkemampuan_komunikasi lmatematis tulis lsiswa dalam menyelesaikanl soali bangunl ruang sisi datarl ditinjau dari self concept. Penelitian ini adalahkpenelitian jenis deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Langkah pengambilan data dimulai dari memberikan angket self concept, memberikan soal tes, dan melakukan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah siswa dengan self concept rendah dapat memenuhi indikator menuliskankinformasikyang adakpada soal dengani cara menuliskan apa yang diketahui danfditanyakan oleh soal dan menggunakan modelkdanksimbol-simbol matematikafdalam menuliskan penyelesaian soal. Siswa dengan self concept sedang dapat memenuhi indikator menggunakan model dan simbol-simbolkmatematikahdalam menuliskan penyelesaianhsoal dan menuliskanhkesimpulan darifsoal dengan tepat.kSiswaudengan self concept tinggi dapat memenuhi indikator menuliskanl informasi yang ada lpadaksoal dengan cara_menuliskanl apaj yangl diketahui ldan lditanyakan oleh soal; menyajikan situasi, lide atauksolusi dari lsoal matematika dalaml bentuk gambar dengan tepatl dan jelas; menggunakan model danrlsimbol-simbol matematikaj dalamkmenuliskan penyelesaian soal; dan menuliskan lkesimpulan dari soali dengani tepat.

Abstract

Logical thinking is the process of drawing conclusions based on facts through systematic steps and relevant arguments. This ability can be developed through mathematics learning, especially in problem-solving. This study aims to describe the logical thinking profile of junior high school students in solving AKM numeracy problems in algebra content.The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research instruments consist of two AKM numeracy problems related to systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) and number patterns, as well as a validated semi-structured interview guide. Data were collected through a logical thinking test and interviews to identify indicators of logical thinking, namely coherence in reasoning, argumentation ability, and conclusion drawing. The test was administered to 30 eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 1 Genteng. The results showed that two students met all indicators of logical thinking. These students were able to understand the problem by clearly writing down important information using their own words. They planned their solutions logically, applying the elimination and substitution methods for SPLDV problems and identifying number patterns in different ways. Their problem-solving steps aligned with Polya’s stages: understanding the problem, planning, implementing, and reviewing. Both students wrote conclusions supported by logical reasoning.

Abstract

Representasi matematis menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam belajar matematika karena dengan kemampuan representasi matematis yang baik, dapat membantu memecahan permasalahan kompleks menjadi lebih sederhana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa Field Dependent (FD) dan Field Independent (FI) dalam menyelesaikan dua soal uraian persamaan garis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-I SMP Negeri 1 Jember tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang terdiri dari 10 siswa FD dan 19 siswa FI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaiakan masalah, FD cenderung menggunakan dua indikator representasi matematis yaitu ekspresi matematis dan verbal. FD belum mampu memahami informasi yang diberikan pada soal dengan tepat sehingga, rencana penyelesaian yang dibuat tidak mengarah pada solusi. FI sudah mencakup tiga indikator representasi matematis yaitu visual berupa sketsa grafik titik potong sumbu-X dan sumbu-Y dengan tepat dan tabel untuk memperjelas masalah, ekspresi matematis berupa model matematika yang digunakan juga ditulis dengan runtut dan tepat serta representasi verbal yang digunakan berupa kesimpulan dan penjelasan langkah-langkah penyelesaian dari tes tulis juga dapat dijawab dengan baik menggunakan bahasanya sendiri. Selain itu, FI juga dapat menyelesaikan soal menggunakan alternatif penyelesaian lain.

Abstract

This Student Worksheet were structured and developed for grade sevenon Social Arithmetic and its used in flipped classroom blended learning. This Student Worksheetwas designed like an android application with codular. The purpose of this research is to develop social arithmetic worksheet which is valid, practical and effective for grade seven in flipped classroom blended learning. The development model used in developing this studentworksheets is Four D Model. Methode for conducting this research is the observation method to see the effectiveness and practically, the test method and questionnaire method used to see the effectiveness of student worksheet. The results of this study are the results of the Student Worksheet validation score that meet the valid criteria (3.6 out of 4.00) based on the results of the validator. This Student Worksheet obtained a very good conclusion and was declared practical (94.73%) based on observations of teacher activities. Student Worksheets with the subject of social arithmetic and their used in the flipped classroom blended learning is categorized as effective based on student test results (100%), observations of student activities (96.88%) and student response results (100%).

Abstract

This research aims to describe the perceptions of grade 8 students regarding the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Mathematics learning in terms of 4 aspects, namely professional learning practices, professional development, differentiated learning, and strengthening the Pancasila student profile. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a sample of 142 class VIII students at SMPN 4 Jember. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The research results showed that students' perceptions of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum were good with a percentage in the professional learning aspect of 48.59%, professional development of 51.4%, differentiated learning of 72.54%, strengthening of the Pancasila student profile of 62.68%, and in overall aspect it was 69.72%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Mathematics learning in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Jember was carried out well. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa kelas 8 terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada pembelajaran Matematika yang ditinjau dari 4 aspek yaitu praktik pembelajaran profesional, pengembangan profesi, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, dan penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 142 siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Jember. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka terlaksana baik dengan persentase pada aspek pembelajaran profesional sebesar 48,59%, pengembangan profesi sebesar 51,4%, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi sebesar 72,54%, penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila sebesar 62,68%, dan secara aspek keseluruhan sebesar 69,72%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada pembelajaran Matematika di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Jember terlaksana dengan baik.

Abstract

Students often feel reluctant to work on worksheets given by teachers because of their unattractive appearance, monotony, and only consisting of material or a collection of questions that do not guide students to find the concept of the material. This makes learning boring and meaningless. Therefore, a development research was conducted on student worksheets using a blended learning model of the flipped classroom type on the material of the system of two linear equations in grade VIII. The purpose of this research is to determine the process and results of developing student worksheets using a blended learning model of the flipped classroom type on the material of the system of two linear equations in grade VIII. The design of the student worksheet in this research is based on the 4-D development model which consists of 4 stages, namely the defining stage (define), design (design), development (develop), and dissemination (disseminate). The development results show that the student worksheets are valid with an average total validity of 3.96; practical with a percentage of learning implementation of 97.06% stated as good; and effective with a percentage of student activity of 90.38% stated as very active, student response questionnaire of 96.08% stated as positive, and a percentage of student mastery of 86.96% stated as classically complete. ABSTRAKSiswa kerap kali enggan mengerjakan lembar kerja siswa yang diberikan oleh guru karena tampilannya yang tidak menarik, monoton, dan hanya terdiri atas materi atau kumpulan soal yang tidak menuntun siswa untuk menemukan konsep materi. Hal tersebut membuat pembelajaran menjadi membosankan dan kurang bermakna. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian pengembangan lembar kerja siswa menggunakan model blended learning tipe flipped classroom pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel kelas VIII. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil pengembangan lembar kerja siswa dengan model blended learning tipe flipped classroom pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel kelas VIII. Rancangan lembar kerja siswa pada penelitian ini berdasarkan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan lembar kerja siswa valid dengan rata-rata total validitas 3,96; praktis dengan presentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran 97,06% dinyatakan baik; dan efektif dengan presentase keaktivan siswa 90,38% dinyatakan sangat aktif, angket respon siswa 96,08% dinyatakan positif, dan presentase ketuntasan siswa 86,96% dinyatakan tuntas secara klasikal.

Abstract

Errors in constructing concepts often occur in mathematics learning, especially in the topic of integer operations. These errors arise because students tend to memorize procedures or rules without fully understanding the underlying concepts. This research aims to analyze students' errors in constructing the concept of integer operations based on assimilation and accommodation. This study uses a qualitative method with 16 students from class VII B at MTs Baitul Hikmah Tempurejo as subjects. The data collection methods in this study included tests and interviews. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of analyzing test results, conducting interviews, and triangulating the data to ensure validity. Based on the analysis and discussion of the data, it can be concluded that all subjects experienced errors in constructing the concept. Four types of concept construction errors were identified: Pseudo Construction, Construction Hole, Mis-logical Construction, and Mis-analogical Construction. Pseudo Construction occurs when a student merely memorizes phrases like "negative meets negative, the result is positive" without a deeper understanding of the concept. Construction Hole occurs when a student provides incorrect answers due to incomplete understanding or failure to comprehend the problem. Mis-logical Construction happens when a student makes an incorrect assumption or conclusion, while Mis-analogical Construction involves false analogies, such as equating the concept of adding negative numbers with adding positive numbers. The results of this study are expected to provide insights into the types and causes of errors in concept construction made by students, which can then be used as a basis for developing effective learning strategies to help students understand concepts correctly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical literacy skills of tenth-grade students at MA Negeri 2 Jember in solving contextual problems related to the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Three Variables (SPLTV).  The  contextual  problems  created  consisted  of  two  questions  covering  the  SPLTV  material.  This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The data collection method used in this study was testing. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that when the study was conducted in class X-E, the students' mathematical literacy skills were only demonstrated in the following indicators: (a) identifying real- world  situations  in  problems,  (b) representing  situations  mathematically  using  symbols,  (c) formulating problems into mathematical models, and (d) designing strategies to find solutions.
