Participants were people who used the IndiHome service in the Surakarta region. For this study, we employed a sampling strategy that was both statistically and practically effective. In Surakarta, where IndiHome is popular, an online questionnaire was administered to 164 customers. For the quantitative study, we used SPSS version 25's multiple regression function. According to the results, trust plays a significantly lower role in determining customer loyalty than do service quality and brand image. This paper gives scholars and businesspeople in Surakarta insights on the loyalty of IndiHome customers to their service provider.

Abstract

Traditional MSMEs often struggle with promotion due to budget constraints, making digital marketing a necessity to build attraction and survive. While quantitative data shows statistical success, in-depth understanding of how digital content builds consumer trust remains limited. This exploratory case study analyse the digital marketing strategies of a traditional cowhide cracker business, MSMEs in Sukoharjo, evaluating both consumer experiences and the owner’s perspective. Data were gathered over a two-week period via semi-structured in-depth interviews with the owner and consumers (loyal, new, and passive), digital observations on TikTok and Instagram, and documentation. Data validity was checked through source and technique triangulation, and analysed using Thematic Analysis. The results demonstrate that the MSME's consistent deployment of trend-based videos and interactive Q&A responses functions as an environmental Stimulus (S). Evaluated through Social Construction of Technology (SCOT) theory and the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) model, these digital practices do not act deterministically; rather, they serve as a negotiated space where platform meanings are contested between the owner’s push for business survival and the consumer’s internal Organism (O) processing of trust and authenticity. Consumer attraction stabilizes into a positive behavioural Response (R) manifesting as purchase intentions and digital storefront transactions only when the aesthetic appeal of the content is met with functional clarity and structural product details. The study concludes that socially constructed digital stimuli successfully transform initial cognitive curiosity into long-term affective trust and conative purchasing actions.

Abstract

Abstract

Plastic waste remains a critical environmental challenge, prompting the Indonesian government to implement various plastic bag restriction policies. However, regulations alone are insufficient without behavioral changes driven by individuals and their social environments. This study aimed to analyze the influence of environmental knowledge, consumer habits, and subjective norms on pro-environmental behavior intention and to examine the moderating role of attitude toward plastic bans in these relationships. A quantitative approach was employed involving respondents who were modern retail consumers in urban Indonesia and had been exposed to plastic restriction policies. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicated that environmental knowledge had a positive and significant effect on pro-environmental behavior intention. Consumer habits also exerted a positive and significant influence. Subjective norms emerged as the most dominant factor, demonstrating the highest t-statistic value. Conversely, attitude toward plastic bans did not have a significant direct effect on pro-environmental behavior intention. Moderation analysis revealed that attitude toward plastic bans significantly moderated the effects of consumer habits and subjective norms on pro-environmental behavior intention but did not moderate the effect of environmental knowledge. The R² value of 0.864 indicated that 86.4% of the variance in pro-environmental behavior intention was explained by all variables included in the model. This study extended the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by integrating a public policy-based moderating variable, providing practical implications for designing more effective plastic reduction policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Online shopping convenience has provided a separate impact on consumers who want to shop, making them feel facilitated by online shopping features. Online shopping convenience also impacts the sales of used imported clothing or what is more commonly known as thrifting. They consider it no problem to buy used imported clothing because of its low price and still wearable, even seeking clothing with well-known brands. Purchasing used imported clothing, commonly known as thrifting, is influenced by the ease of online shopping and hedonic and utilitarian attributes. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the convenience of online shopping on the level of consumption of imported used clothing in Central Java, which is moderated by hedonic and utilitarian traits. This quantitative study uses a non-probability sampling technique in the form of primary data obtained from questionnaire data distributed online in the form of a Google Form. This research produced 100 respondents with the criteria of buying used imported clothes online. The results of the study concluded that the convenience of online shopping had a positive and significant effect on the level of consumption of imported used clothing. The influence of 2 moderating variables in the form of hedonic and utilitarian characteristics results in the ease of online shopping, which is moderated by hedonic characteristics, and does not significantly affect the level of consumption of imported used clothing. Meanwhile, the ease of online shopping, moderated by utilitarian characteristics, negatively affects the consumption of imported used clothing.
