Abstract

The religion-based integrated curriculum model differs the curriculum system at Islamic boarding schools from other formal schools. Thus, the researchers conducted a case study to determine the Islamic integrated curriculum model at Islamic boarding schools in Blitar. The sample of this research was five leading Islamic boarding schools in Blitar. The data were collected through field observation and in-depth interviews with some informants, such as ustadz/ustadzah, santri, and santri’s guardians/parents. Then, it was analyzed using integrative and interactive techniques. It included data reduction, data display, and conclusion. This study found that the Islamic integrated curriculum system was applied by combining the national curriculum with the hidden curriculum compiled by each Islamic boarding school. It was adjusted to the Islamic boarding school’s vision, mission, and form. Applying the Islamic integrated curriculum model has effectively improved the santri’s religious character. Besides, the parent/guardian satisfaction index showed 89.6%. This research contributes to the Islamic integrated curriculum model into santri’s religious character in Blitar, East Java, Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Science Adventure learning media to improve students' motivation to learn Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). This research was conducted with development research using the Borg & Gall procedure written in ten stages of development. This research was conducted at MIN 04 Blitar Class V with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, while data analysis was carried out using the t-test. This study shows that the Science Adventurer learning media is very feasible to use with the validation results from material experts, media experts, and learning experts, each obtaining a score of 94%, 96%, and 94%. This media has also proven effective in improving students' learning motivation, as evidenced by the independent sample t-test, which has a 2-tailed significance value of 0.000. so it can be concluded that the Science Adventure learning media is feasible and effective in improving the motivation to learn IPAS in grade 5 elementary school students

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini, penulis ingin menelaah penggunaan feedback dalam media pembelajaran PAI, integrasi feedback dalam pengembangan media belajar PAI, tantangan dan solusi penerapan feedback, dan siklus feedback media pembelajaran PAI. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan studi literatur, yang bertumpu pada pengumpulan informasi dan data dari berbagai sumber tertulis yang relevan dengan topik feedback dalam media pembelajaran PAI. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan secara sistematis, mencakup tahap pencarian, seleksi, pengolahan, hingga penarikan kesimpulan. Penulis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis), yang memungkinkan peneliti mengidentifikasi pola, tema, dan makna yang terkandung dalam sumber-sumber tersebut secara objektif dan terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran PAI melalui siklus feedback merupakan proses berkelanjutan yang dimulai dari penyusunan desain awal, perancangan media, uji coba terbatas dan luas, hingga evaluasi serta monitoring secara terus-menerus. Setiap tahapan menghasilkan feedback yang digunakan untuk menyempurnakan konten, tampilan, dan kesesuaian kurikulum, sehingga media pembelajaran PAI dapat terus diperbarui dan dikembangkan agar tetap relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa dan dinamika pendidikan yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

Bullying is an aggressive act carried out repeatedly by an individual or group with more power or influence against another weaker individual, with the aim of hurting, intimidating, or dominating them physically, verbally, psychologically, or socially. The role of teachers in the context of modern education is not limited to conveying knowledge, but extends to being facilitators, motivators, evaluators, and role models in the development of students' character. This research uses a qualitative approach with a post-positivistic paradigm and is a case study. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and participant observation, and data analysis was conducted using the Milles, Huberman, and Saldana model. Result are the role of teachers is not only as educators but also as managers of the school's social environment. Therefore, it is necessary to improve teachers' understanding of various forms of bullying, particularly cyberbullying, which is difficult to monitor. Teachers need to be equipped with specialized training and supported by clear and targeted school policies. Schools also need to involve all elements, including students and parents, in bullying prevention programs. A collaborative approach is considered essential for creating a safe and comfortable learning environment. Strengthening the role of teachers as key figures in bullying prevention needs to be a primary focus. Support from schools and educational institutions is needed in the form of professional development, reflection spaces, and psychological counseling. With this support, teachers can be better prepared to face social challenges in the classroom.

Abstract

Religious moderation is a middle way in the sense of being balanced in addressing both issues of religious teachings and responding to phenomena, or acknowledging the reality that occurs. MTsN 2 Blitar Regency is one of the leading madrasahs in Blitar Regency that is proactive in carrying out the ideas of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The implementation of religious moderation in MTsN 2 Blitar Regency began in the 2023/2024 school year, making it a hot topic among residents in MTsN 2 Blitar Regency. This research is qualitative and was conducted at MTsN 2 Blitar, which is known for its warm implementation of religious moderation. The data in this study were collected using three techniques: in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. To analyze the data, the researcher employed data condensation techniques, data collection, data display, and verification to conclude. At the same time, the validity of the data was detected by triangulation and peer discussions. The results of the study (1) Planning religious moderation in SKI learning at MTsN 2 Blitar in planning the value of religious moderation are inserted in the teaching module as the first step of religious moderation-based learning. (2) The implementation is the application of the teaching module. Meanwhile, the evaluation includes two types of assessments: formative and summative assessments. (3) The positive impact of the implementation of religious moderation-based learning on SKI subjects in MTsN 2 Blitar increases the competence of educators and education staff, increases knowledge and insight, and fosters a moderate attitude when respecting differences. At the same time, the negative impact felt is the increase in learning materials and methods used by teachers who are perceived as boring

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the influence of Hybrid-Discovery Learning (Hybrid-DL) implementation on students' critical thinking abilities and performance. This study uses field research with a quantitative approach, and the Post-test Only Control-Group Quasi-Experiment method was employed. The study population comprised 54 fifth-grade students from Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon Sumbergempol Islamic Elementary School, divided into three classes: V-A (16 students), V-B (15 students), and V-C (23 students). Data collection instruments included learning outcome test sheets and critical thinking skills record tests. Data collection techniques used in this study were 1) Observation, researchers conducted observations of the learning process taking place at Bayanul Azhar Bendiljati Kulon Sumbergempol Islamic Elementary School; 2) Interview, researchers conducted interviews with teachers who teach science subjects to see the development of students' critical thinking after applying the Hybrid-Discovery learning model. The obtained data were analysed using a two-way MANOVA analysis, with a significance level of 5%. The research findings show that Hybrid-DL has a significant effect on the achievement of critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. This effect is demonstrated by the improvement in student learning outcomes in the form of learning motivation in the form of increased student enthusiasm for learning as evidenced by increased learning motivation questionnaire scores, and learning achievement as represented by increased student formative assessment scores in the form of report card grades, as well as increased student critical thinking skills as taken from improved critical thinking skills test results.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that still occurs in the development of elementary school students' education, namely difficulties in the study of Islamic Cultural History. The difficulty of Islamic Cultural History lessons in students is caused by an inappropriate learning process that results in students not having the interest and desire to learn the lesson well. This research was conducted at Miftahul Falah Islamic Elementary School using a qualitative research approach, as for the type using descriptive qualitative research. Data were collected through interview, observation and documentation methods. In analyzing the data using data reduction, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, to check the validity of findings using data triangulation, the triangulation used is source triangulation and method triangulation. The results of this study are as follows: (1)  How use audio-visual media in the subjects of Islamic Cultural History Miftahul Falah Islamic Elementary School Karangrejo, namely preparing learning and learning tools, starting learning activities with greetings, smiles and greetings, displaying Ice Breaking as the beginning of a fun lesson, showing short films, conducting learning evaluations using power points by displaying tests / questions Short duration and directly answered by students in each assignment book individually without rewriting the questions. (2)  The results of the use of audio-visual media in the subject of Islamic Cultural History at Miftahul Falah Islamic Elementary School Karangrejo, namely audio-visual media are used for learning media, ice breaking, as well as learning resources, making it easier for students to master the material, changing students' mindsets from bored to happy with Islamic Cultural History subjects, increasing student achievement, helping teachers in terms of energy and time efficiency,  motivating students to continue learning Islamic Cultural History, realizing learning goals effectively and efficiently. (3) Obstacles to the use of audio-visual media in increasing students' understanding of the subject of Islamic Cultural History at Miftahul Falah Islamic Elementary School Karangrejo are sometimes electricity failures, when the power failure requires a jenset. But in this case the school still does not have a private jenset facility. In addition, the number of crowded children resulted in a less conducive classroom atmosphere.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the teacher's strategy in fostering students' noble morals through habituation activities at SDI Nurul Qur'an. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain an in-depth picture of the forms of habituation applied and the role of teachers in guiding and being a role model for students. Data were analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the habituation strategy is carried out consistently through daily activities such as morning greetings, dhuha prayers, tahfidz, and congregational prayers. Teachers do not only act as teachers, but also become real examples in attitudes and behavior. Through ongoing habituation, students become accustomed to being polite, friendly, obedient to teachers, and demonstrating behavior that reflects noble morals. This strategy also supports student achievement in various aspects. With this approach, the formation of character and noble morals can grow naturally in a conducive and religious environment.
