Abstract

The research focuses on implementing an automatic door lock system based on face recognition using the ESP32-Cam microcontroller and integrating it with the Telegram platform. The system is designed to enhance security at Proactive Robotic by leveraging IoT technology for office door access control. System design began with needs analysis and identification of existing security issues which do not integrate with other smart home systems at the institution. Development methods included hardware and software design, circuit schematic creation, PCB production, and physical assembly. System testing ensured facial detection, recognition, and essential solenoid operation in varying lighting conditions. Test results showed the system accurately recognizes registered faces under standard lighting, automatically unlocks doors, and sends real-time notifications via Telegram. However, system accuracy under low-light conditions needs improvement, as well as enhanced user data security to protect stored information privacy. This research contributes to developing IoT and face recognition-based security applications. The system successfully implements cutting-edge technology to improve physical security and access management in office environments, laying the foundation for future advancements in security technology.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to implement the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model in Arabic language lessons, namely to help students relate learning materials to real life, so that students can easily apply the material taught in their daily lives, and learning using videos makes students more enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in learning, because learning is not monotonous so that students do not get bored quickly during learning and learning becomes more effective. The method used in this study was mixed methods involving the collection of quantitative and qualitative data to obtain a more complete picture of the effectiveness of the CTL model with videos in improving students' motivation and Arabic language skills. The application of the CTL model with videos has been proven to significantly increase students' learning motivation and their Arabic language skills according to the results of the study. In addition, the CTL model also helps students develop their social skills through group learning and materials that relate to real life. This study concludes that the CTL learning model using videos is an alternative method that increases the effectiveness of the learning process. In this study, the use of media in the form of videos makes students more involved in the learning process, making learning more interesting and interactive. In addition, the CTL model with videos makes their thinking skills more critical and creative through discussion and group work.

Abstract

Nondestructive prediction of palm fruit quality is needed to monitor changes in palm fruit quality during processing delays. This study aims to develop a method for predicting the chemical quality of palm fruit during processing delays using the Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). The electrical impedance of palm fruit were measured at frequencies of 50 Hz to 1 MHz and followed by the determination of free fatty acid (FFA) and moisture content using chemical methods. The best initial treatment for impedance spectrum data in this study was Standard Normal Variate (SNV) and Baseline. The results of this study indicate that the PLS method outperforms PCR in predicting FFA and moisture content. The best prediction for free fatty acid content was using the SNV pre-treatment and component factor 7 with a value of r = 0.87; SEC = 2.75%; SEP = 2.82%; CV = 23.81%; RPD = 1.94 and consistency of 97.75%. The best prediction for moisture content was obtained using the Baseline initial treatment and component factor 15 with a value of r = 0.97; SEC = 3.65%; SEP = 3.82%; CV = 28.24%; RPD = 1.91 and consistency of 83.24%. The developed electrical impedance and PLS methods can be used to predict free fatty acid content and moisture content of oil palm fruit during processing delays.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran maharah kalam melalui video interaktif berbasis kontekstual serta menguji efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam Bahasa Arab. Permasalahan yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap maharah kalam serta terbatasnya variasi media pembelajaran yang tersedia di SMP Islam Az Zahrah 1 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan enam tahap utama, yaitu identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, perancangan produk, validasi, revisi, serta uji coba produk. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan penyebaran kuesioner untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai kebutuhan siswa terhadap media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik membutuhkan media yang lebih menarik dan interaktif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dalam Bahasa Arab. Validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli materi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 90% dengan kategori "sangat baik", sementara validasi oleh ahli media memperoleh skor 86,6% dengan kategori "baik". Untuk mengukur efektivitas media yang dikembangkan, dilakukan uji coba pada dua kelompok siswa, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan video interaktif dan kelompok kontrol yang tidak menggunakannya. Hasil perbandingan skor pre-test dan post-test dari 30 siswa menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dengan skor pre-test sebesar 60,1% dan skor post-test meningkat menjadi 88,1%. Selain itu, tanggapan siswa terhadap media pembelajaran ini mencapai 78%, yang menunjukkan bahwa produk ini valid dan dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan video interaktif berbasis kontekstual efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam Bahasa Arab serta dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di tingkat sekolah menengah.
