Abstract

This research intends to (1) explain the form of Kluet language dysphemism, (2) analyze the context of the use of Kluet language dysphemism, and (3) explain the function of Kluet language dysphemism in the speech of the people of South Aceh Regency. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The researchers took four informants from each sub-district who were used as data sources, namely North Kluet, South Kluet, East Kluet, and Central Kluet Districts. The findings of this research indicate that the form of Kluet language dysphemism contains three forms; the form of words, phrases, and clauses, then context of the use of Kluet language dysphemism consists of the context of habit, anger, talkative/surprised, and prohibiting. Furthermore, the function of using Kluet's dysphemism contains five functions, namely functions to insult, threaten, hurt/annoy, as a joke, and express strong, heavy, and extreme emotions. Conversely, as regards the findings of research and data analysis, the primary forms of dysphemism are phrases and the main context of dysphemism is anger and habit.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian analisis keefektifan kalimat dalam majalah Warta USK ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk kalimat tidak efektif yang terdapat di dalam majalah Warta USK. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa kalimat yang ditemukan di dalam majalah Warta USK dengan menggunakan beberapa langkah, yaitu (a) pengumpulan data, (b) analisis data, dan (c) penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan teknik observasi. Peneliti memfokuskan analisis keefektifan kalimat pada empat aspek, yaitu (1) aspek kelengkapan unsur berdasarkan ciri subjek didahului oleh preposisi, kalimat majemuk yang dipenggal, penghilangan konjungsi pada anak kalimat, konjungsi korelatif tidak serasi, penghilangan preposisi, dan kalimat yang tidak memiliki unsur lengkap, (2) aspek kesejajaran, (3) aspek kehematan berdasarkan ciri penghilangan subjek ganda, pemakaian superordinate pada hiponimi kata, bentuk sinonim, dan penggunaan konjungsi berlebihan, (4) aspek kelogisan berdasarkan ciri penggunaan kata tanya dalam kalimat pernyataan dan kalimat multitafsir. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa masih terdapat kalimat tidak efektif di dalam majalah warta USK. Kalimat tidak efektif yang paling banyak ditemukan berdasarkan aspek kelengkapan unsur dan yang paling sedikit adalah aspek kesejajaran. Adapun simpulan yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah ketidakefektifan kalimat karena aspek kelengkapan unsur menjadi data yang paling banyak ditemukan dengan data berjumlah 55 kalimat kemudian disusul oleh aspek kesejajaran sejumlah 6 kalimat, aspek kehematan 11 kalimat, dan aspek kelogisan sebanyak 11 kalimat.                                                                                     Kata kunci: kalimat, keefektifan kalimat, majalah Warta USK  ABSTRACT This research on the analysis of the effectiveness of sentences in Warta USK magazine aims to find out the forms of ineffective sentences contained in Warta USK magazine. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research data is in the form of sentences found in Warta USK magazine using several steps, namely (a) data collection, (b) data analysis, and (c) drawing conclusions. Data collection techniques were carried out using documentation techniques and observation techniques. The researcher focuses on the analysis of sentence effectiveness on four aspects, namely (1) the aspect of completeness of elements based on subject characteristics preceded by prepositions, compound sentences that are broken off, omissions of conjunctions in clauses, mismatched correlative conjunctions, omission of prepositions, and sentences that do not have complete elements, (2) the aspect of parallelism, (3) the aspect of frugality based on the characteristics of removing multiple subjects, the use of superordinate in hyponymy words, synonymous forms, and the use of excessive conjunctions, (4) the aspect of logic based on the characteristics of the use of interrogative words in declarative sentences and sentences with multiple interpretations. The results of this study prove that there are still ineffective sentences in the Warta USK magazine. The most frequently found ineffective sentences are based on the aspect of completeness of the elements and the least is the aspect of alignment. The conclusions obtained from this study are the ineffectiveness of sentences because the aspect of completeness of elements is the most commonly found data with data totaling 55 sentences, followed by the aspect of parallelism in the number of 6 sentences, the aspect of economy in 11 sentences, and the aspect of logic in 11 sentences. Keywords: sentences, sentence effectiveness, Warta USK magazine

Abstract

The objective of this research is to enhance readers' understanding and proficiency in using euphemisms and dyphemisms effectively and employing language skillfully in communication. The employed methodology is a descriptive research method characterized by a qualitative approach.   The data for this research consists of comments that include euphemisms and dysphemisms. The source of the data is the comments section of Serambinews YouTube, contributed by netizens. The research analyzed a total of 105 data points, comprising 34 instances of euphemism data and 71 instances of dysphemism data. The data analysis process for this research entails data selection, data classification, data analysis, and the formulation of conclusions.   The research findings indicate that the utilization of euphemisms and dysphemisms is influenced by the underlying context.  Euphemisms are typically employed to convey a more pleasant or inoffensive tone, while dysphemisms serve to ridicule, inquire, comment disapprovingly, express anger, reiterate a request, assign blame, respond to criticism, or make jokes.

Abstract

This study aims to identify variations in the use of personal pronoun agreements in the Acehnese language based on a sociolinguistic approach, by focusing on the North Aceh dialect. A descriptive-qualitative method was used and data were collected through interviews. These interviews were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using the sociolinguistic approach by structure and semantics. The results of the study showed that the personal pronouns of the Acehnese language are influenced by social factors such as age, social status, and familiarity. In the context of the age factor, there are variations in the use of personal pronoun agreements related to communication patterns between the younger and older generations. In social interactions with differences in social status, the use of personal pronoun agreements that reflect respect and recognition of social status is more dominant. Meanwhile, in familiarity, the use of more formal or informal personal pronouns depends on the degree of familiarity between the speakers. Overall, variations in the use of agreement personal pronouns in the Acehnese language are influenced by sociolinguistic factors that reflect social dynamics, cultural norms, and relationships between individuals. Understanding these variations can provide better insight into social interactions, social hierarchies, and familiarity norms in Acehnese society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Kandang Cut, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya penguasaan kosakata sebagai fondasi keterampilan berbahasa yang meliputi kemampuan berbicara, menyimak, membaca, dan menulis. Penguasaan kosakata yang rendah dapat berdampak pada kesulitan siswa dalam memahami bacaan maupun berkomunikasi secara efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 26 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 40 soal yang mencakup empat indikator penguasaan kosakata: menunjukkan kata sesuai perintah, memilih kata sesuai makna, memilih sinonim, dan memilih antonim. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kandang Cut adalah 66,57, masih di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yaitu 70. Tingkat ketuntasan hanya mencapai 46%, sedangkan 54% siswa belum tuntas. Indikator dengan capaian tertinggi adalah memilih kata sesuai maknanya dengan rata-rata 79,6, sementara capaian terendah terdapat pada indikator menunjukkan kata sesuai perintah dengan rata-rata 52,3. Pada indikator sinonim dan antonim, meskipun terdapat siswa yang mencapai kategori sangat baik, masih banyak yang berada dalam kategori kurang. Hal ini mengindikasikan perlunya peningkatan strategi pembelajaran kosakata secara lebih intensif dan kontekstual agar kemampuan siswa lebih merata di seluruh indikator. Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya kesulitan pada beberapa aspek kosakata, terutama dalam memahami instruksi, sinonim, dan antonim. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan pembelajaran dengan metode, media, dan latihan yang lebih variatif dan kontekstual agar penguasaan kosakata siswa dapat meningkat secara optimal.
