Abstract

Kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam mempelajari kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, masih banyak siswa belum memahami konsep prasyarat, seperti konsep mol, reaksi ionisasi, kesetimbangan kimia, pH larutan asam dan basa. Kesulitan siswa juga dikarenakan kurangnya guru memberikan contoh-contoh tentang reaksi-reaksi yang ada di lingkungan sekitar yang sering dijumpai siswa Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efekktifitas media demonstrasi dan eksperimen berbasis animasi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa di era revolusi industri 4.0. Jenis penelitian menggunakan Quasi Eksperimen dengan Nonequivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 50 siswa kelas XI MIPA yang dibagi menjadi 27 siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan 24 siswa pada kelas control. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode tes. Teknik analisiss data menggunakan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan uji prasyarat normalitas dan homogenitas diperoleh nilai signifikansi > 0,05. Hasil uji paired sample t-test diperoleh Sig. 0,00 < 0,05 menunjukan pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol berbeda signifikan. Hasil uji Independent sample t-test diperoleh Sig. (2-tailed) 0,018 < 0,05 sehingga ada perbedaan rata-rata antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah. Perbedaan rata-rata kelas eksperimen > rata-rata kelas kontrol yaitu 80 > 70. Itu berarti bahwa media demonstrasi dan eksperimen berbasis video animasi efektif digunakan pada proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah, pengelolaan pembelajaran  dan partisipasi komite sekolah secara parsial maupun bersama-sama terhadap mutu pendidikan SD/MI di kecamatan limpung kabupaten batang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh SD/MI baik negeri maupun swasta di Kecamatan Limpung Kabupaten Batang yang berjumlah 40 SD/MI dengan sampel sejumlah 36, menggunakan teknik kluster (cluster random sampling). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan angket kepada guru dan kepala sekolah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear sederhana dan regresi ganda dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan penerapan MBS (r2 = 35,1%), pengelolaan pembelajaran (r2= 11,1%) dan partisipasi komite sekolah (r2= 40,1%) terhadap mutu pendidikan SD/MI di kecamatan Limpung kabupaten Batang, dan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh 58,9%. Abstract

The multiple-choice test is a common test format used in education. One of the purposes of this test is to evaluate the success of the learning process in a particular subject. Therefore, the efficiency of the evaluation depends on the quality of the test items used. This research was conducted in order to reveal the quality of the final mathematics examination items statistically. It was descriptive quantitative research employing two-parameter logistic (2pl) model of Item Response Theory (IRT). The data were obtained from the sample of 353 students established using the purposive sampling technique. This finding shows that 40% of the 35 items tested are very difficult, 60% are in the medium level, and there is no easy item. The most difficult material is the trigonometric calculation. The percentage of the item discrimination index is described as follows: 8.57% of the items are categorized as very low, 51.43% are categorized as low, 31.43% of the items have a medium item discrimination index value, 5.71% have a high item discrimination index value, and 2.86% of the items are categorized as very high. Moreover, the research found that all distractors functioned well. The highest information on ability θ = 0.4 with information function value of 5.38 and SEM = 0.6. This test is suitable for students with the ability of -1.42 θ 2.65.

Abstract

As time goes by, technological advances affect character crises, especially among students. This study is aimed at developing a student character assessment questionnaire for the French subject in state high schools of Yogyakarta Special Region. The study employed the 4D development formula comprising of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The study involved 269 students of X, XI, and XII grades as the samples. The reliability test was performed using the Cronbach’s Alpha formula, 0.689, with strong reliability. The validity of the study was tested using EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis). The questionnaire used the Likert scale. The result of the study shows that 15 items are valid and can show the character of students in the French subject.

Abstract

Technological advances have made possible to reduce limitation of space and time in learning. Students can interact with teachers and other students indirectly without face to face meetings through e-learning media. To create effective e-learning media, factors to be mainly considered are multimedia learning principles, one of which is contiguity. Thus, this study was aimed at developing e-learning media with the contiguity principle and examining its quality. The media were tested for measuring its effectiveness by statistically analyzing the differences in students’ learning achievement and motivation. This study was research and development using quasi experimental techniques whose subject is Vocational High School also known as Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. The result of this study was e-learning media with the contiguity principle. The feasibility evaluation showed that the product had good quality in the aspects of media and materials. The effectiveness testing showed insignificant differences in learning achievement and motivation between the students using e-learning media with the contiguity principle and without the contiguity principle with the scores of 0.325 and 0.873 respectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of-assisted online learning Moodle, the difference in effectiveness between-assisted online learning Moodle and WhatsApp Group, and a comparison of the effectiveness between-assisted online learning-assisted learning Moodle and WhatsApp Group in improving students' understanding of the equipment and completeness of electrical engineering drawings. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type using a design nonequivalent control group. The population in this study were all students of class X from SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta with competency in electrical power installation engineering expertise consisting of four classes. Classes X. TITL-1 and X. TITL-2 were determined as a random sample. Both classes were given instruments pre-test and post-test to measure students' understanding of the equipment and completeness of electrical engineering drawings. To test the effectiveness of online learning, the one sample t-test was used, the difference in effectiveness was used the paired sample t-test, and the comparison of effectiveness used the independent sample t-test. The results of this study indicate: (1)-assisted online learning is Moodle effective in improving students' understanding of equipment and electrical engineering drawings; (2) there is a difference in effectiveness between online learning assisted by Moodle and WhatsApp Group in improving students' understanding of the equipment and completeness of electrical engineering drawings; and (3)-assisted online learning is Moodle more effective than-assisted online learning WhatsApp Group in improving students' understanding of equipment and electrical engineering drawings.

Abstract

An alternative for determining an accurate major for prospective high school students is not only based on academic scores but also on the results of the scholastic aptitude test (SAT). Verbal ability is an SAT subtest that assesses language management, vocabulary, and problem-solving abilities through a complete language study. This study developed a verbal ability test instrument for junior high school students consisting of the ability of synonyms, antonyms, and analogies. The data was collected from 300 junior high school students in grade nine who took a test with dichotomous data. The data analysis approach used one-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with correlation factors. The results showed that CFA with correlation factors indicated the construct validity of the instrument was valid with the index criteria value =446.80, df=389, p-value=0.02267, root mean squared error of approximation (RMSEA)=0.022, goodness of fit index (GFI)=0.91, adjusted goodness-of-fit (AGFI)=0.89, and comparative fit index (CFI)=0.98. Then, construct reliability has good reliability with coefficient values for each dimension of 0.93, 0.95, and 0.84. As for the composite reliability of 0.88. It shows that using the verbal ability test instrument is feasible and has a reliable scale to measure the ability of junior high school students.

Abstract

Penggunaan nilai akreditasi sekolah untuk klasifikasi sampel berdasarkan level kemampuan matematika tidaklah memadai, mengingat prestasi belajar siswa tidak hanya ditentukan oleh faktor akreditasi, tetapi oleh faktor lain yang bersifat internal dan eksternal dari siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) membandingkan nilai akreditasi dan pengelompokkan nilai rata-rata ujian nasional matematika menggunakan analisis klaster dengan algoritma K-Means dari Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kota Cirebon; (2) mengetahui korelasi antara nilai akreditasi dan hasil klasterisasi; (3) mengetahui kelompok SMP yang memiliki kemampuan matematika level tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan nilai akreditasi sekolah sebagai dasar penarikan sampel kemampuan matematika untuk level tinggi (akreditasi A), level sedang (akreditasi B), dan level rendah (belum terakreditasi) menyebabkan bias pada analisa statistik karena peluang benarnya hanya 31,91%. Uji korelasi menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara nilai akreditasi dan level kemampuan matematika siswa. Kemampuan matematika level tinggi dan sedang didominasi oleh SMP swasta. SMP yang berstatus negeri mayoritasnya berada pada kemampuan matematika level rendah.  Hasil klasterisasi dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk penelitian lanjutan yang memerlukan sampel besar seperti pada teori respon butir modern, pembuatan tes diagnosa, pembuatan tes adaptif, dll.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penilaian diagnostik kognitif berfungsi untuk mengukur struktur pengetahuan teknis siswa dan kemampuan pemrosesan untuk memberikan informasi tentang kekuatan dan kelemahan kognitifnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian model teori respon butir soal tes diagnostik kemampuan matematika dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 200 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa mahasiswa tingkat 1,2,3 dan 4 dari 7 program sarjana Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes materi eksponensial berbentuk multiple-choice sebanyak 12 butir. Data yang diperoleh berupa respon siswa pada instrumen tes yang diberikan. Teknik analisis datanya adalah analisis karakteristik butir berdasarkan teori respons butir (IRT). Analisis uji prasyarat model IRT dengan analisis faktor. Uji asumsi independensi lokal berdasarkan penghitungan korelasi antar item. Sedangkan uji invariansi parameter menggunakan scatter plot. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai korelasi poin biserial butir nomor empat adalah negatif, sehingga butir tersebut tidak digunakan dalam analisis parameter dan kecocokan model. Model teori respons butir yang cocok dengan instrumen tersebut adalah model 3-PL. Tingkat kesukaran item berada dalam rentang   sampai 0,901. Daya pembeda berada dalam rentang  sampai  serta tebakan semu ada di antara 0 sampai . Jika ditinjau dari tingkat kesulitan butir terbukti bahwa keseluruhan butir memiliki tingkat kesulitan yang baik, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh butir memiliki karakateristik butir yang baik. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran pengujian empiris dalam menentukan kualitas butir instrumen berdasarkan analisis yang tepat sehingga layak untuk digunakan dalam mengukur hasil belajar.Kata Kunci: Tes Diagnosa, Teori Respons Butir, Model Logistik Parameter.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the high-order thinking skills of high school students. The research method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was the random sampling technique. The research subjects were 488 high school students. The data collection technique is a two-tier multiple choice test consisting of twenty questions covering analyzing, evaluating, and creating. Based on the research results and discussion, high-order thinking skills of high school students showed an average in the very high category with a percentage of 1.8% with a frequency of 9 students. The ability of students in the high category has a percentage of 19.9%, with a frequency of 97 students and the ability of students in the medium category is 49%, with a frequency of 239 students. Meanwhile, the average in the low category is 21.9%, with a frequency of 107 students and the ability of students in the very low category has a percentage of 7.4% with a frequency of 36 students. Overall, high-order thinking skills in high school in Tegal are in the medium category.
