Abstract

This study aims to develop an instrument to evaluate Indonesia’s children-friendly school program (CFSP). This development research is then used to evaluate CFSP in Indonesia. Instrument development using the context, input, process, product (CIPP) approach and outcome evaluation. The population of this study was all students in the provinces of Riau and Yogyakarta. The research sample is of the students taken randomly from 108 schools that run CFSP. Data analysis used content validity, construct analysis, construct reliability, and descriptive statistics to evaluate the current CFSP. The content validity result shows that only 50 can be used of 56 of the developed items. The construct validity analysis result shows that all indicators obtained from theoretical exploration are valid and reliable. The model fit test shows that the instruments and data obtained from the respondents fit statistically. The results of the evaluation analysis show that the CFSP has been running well, but three indicators are still at a poor level and need to be improved so that the CFSP can run optimally. Indicators needing improvement are the completeness of documents and indicators of student participation, parental participation, community institutions, and the business world. This instrument became the new product to evaluate completely CFSP program because this instrument evaluates not only the process or implementation program but also every process until the program's outcome. Recommendations that need to be considered by stakeholders are to improve CFSP performance so that CFSP can maximally develop student character.

Abstract

Evaluation may be carried out using different tests that are not necessarily parallel. Students with lower abilities may get higher scores while those with higher abilities get lower scores. Measurement errors caused by this condition require test equating. Several computer programs, including Bilog and the R program, can be used for test equating. Each program has a different level of accuracy, and the accuracy of the equating results will affect the standard errors of equating. This study aimed to find out the most accurate equating test method and the accuracy of the estimated BILOG and R program. This research used two sets of tests with equivalent group designs. The determination of the most accurate equating method was based on the root mean square deviation (RMSD) value. Equating test packages, A to package B with BILOG program estimation on the mean and Sigma method resulted in RMSD value of 0.320. In the mean and mean method, RMSD value is 0.250. Meanwhile, equating package A to package B using R program on the mean and sigma resulted in RMSD value of 0.300, and the mean and mean method with the RMSD value is 0.272. The mean and mean yield RMSD values smaller than the mean and sigma methods. Therefore, the mean and mean method is more accurate and applicable. Moreover, the estimation results of the BILOG program are more accurate and can be used in test equating.

Abstract

The courage to take risks to open a new business has not been fully embedded in most technical education students. One of the influences is low student self-efficacy due to a lack of self-confidence in students who think there is a failure in opening a new business. So this research examines and analyzes in-depth related entrepreneurial interest as measured through self-efficacy, family, and university environment in technical education students. The probability sampling method using a random sampling technique was used in taking a sample of 450 participants in technical education students. The most dominant item in representing the success of entrepreneurial interest is creativity at 84.80%. The weakest construct is the never-give-up construct of 71.50%. The ability of the structural model to explain Entrepreneurial Interest is 61.80%, while the Entrepreneurial Interest variable explains 50.50% of the phenomena predicted in the field. The path analysis test reveals that the three variables influence the interest in entrepreneurship positively and significantly. This study recommends that universities foster an interest in entrepreneurship by providing technical assistance in developing businesses, inviting entrepreneurial speakers, holding industrial visits, and conducting training programs. These steps are expected to foster student interest in entrepreneurship.
