Abstract

Pendidikanjasmani merupakansebuahmata pelajaran yang diberikandan sekolah dasar hingga sekolah menengah. Sebagai matapelajaran yang diberikan di semua jenjang pendidikan, pendidikanjasmani (Penjas) memiliki kedudukan yang menguntungkan danmemberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan anak.Tidak seperti mata pelajaran lainnya yang ada di sekolah, Penjasmenitikberatkan perhatian pada ranah psikomotor,walaupul!. tidakmengabaikan perhatian pada ranah ko.gnitif dan afektif. Kedudukandan fungsi yang demikian tinggi menantang setiap guru Penjas harusmenciptakan proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, meng­gembirakan, dan mencerdaskan bagi anak.Proses demikian akan terwujud bila guru Penjas memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan yangmemadai, terutama dalam metodepembelajarannya.Muska Mosston dan Sara Ashworth menawarkan spektrum gayamengajar(spectrUm of teaching styles) yang dikemas dalam bukubeIjudulTeaching physical education, sebuah buku yang memberikankesempatan bagiguru untuk memilih wama-wami gaya mengajar untukmengajarkan pendidikanjasmani. Buku ini telahmengalami cetak ulangyang ke-4. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwaTeaching physical educationmemenuhi kebutuhan praktisi Penjas akan informasi yang aktual tentangproses pembelajaran, terutama metode pengajarannya.Pada buku edisi pertama, spektrum gaya mengajar hanya terdiridari delapan gaya mengajar yang saling berkaitan. Kemudian, padabuku cetakan keempat ini (1994) sudah berkembang menjadi sebelasgaya mengajar yang saling berkaitan. Perkembangan ini, sesuai denganpesan Mosston yang menyatakan bahwa... and therefore, the spec­trum remains an open structure that welcomes new discoveries inteaching, and delineationofstyles and new options in the relationshipbetween teacher and learner. This is the futureofthe spectrum - newadditions, new refinements,new horizons.

Abstract

Pengorganisasian rencana program dituangkan ke dalam suatukurikulum Pendidikan Jasmani, sebagai suatu bidang studi yang mempunyaikedudukan penting dalam pendidikan, mengenal beberapa modelkurikulum yang dipergunakan untuk membentuk dan mendesain programnya.Berdasarkan hasil kajian dan penelitian praktik pendidikan jasmanidi masa lalu dan pada masa kini, terdapat lima model yang berkembangdan dipergunakan dalam mendesain program pendidikan jasmani.Model dimaksud adalah pendidikan olahraga, pendidikan kebugaran,analisis gerakan, perkembangan, dan "personal meaning". Tidak adasatupun model yang paling baik, karena kelima model mempunyaiperbedaan dalam pendefmisian tujuan, struktur program, definisi dasarmempunyai perbedaan dalam pendefinisian nilai yang paling dominimdipergunakan.Kelima model kurikulum memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan.Kelebihan dan kekurangan setiap model, serta karakteristik setiap modelperlu dicermati dan dipelajari agar perencana dan pembuat kurikulumbehati-hati dalam menentukan berhati-hati dalam menentukan pilihan.Pilihan dan pembuatan kurikulum harus pula didasarkan atas trendpendidikan yang sedang berkembang, kebijakan, kondisi masyarakat,minat dan kebutuhan peserta peserta didik, dan biaya serta ketersediaansumber daya manusia.

Abstract

This article analyzes the main program for Early Childhood Education (ECE) in the government program in 2009 stated in the President Regulation Number 38 Year 2008. The analysis employs the public policy model by Joko Wiyono, which is an applied analysis descriptive in nature, focusing on the content analysis. The targets are to analyze (1) the main determinant factors, (2) policy contents, and (3) expected and unexpected effects of the policy. The results of the analysis show that the determinant factors have not taken into account of the gap in the ECE implementation, concerns about the discontinuity among types of ECE services, and the development of the kindergarten education discourse. The contents of the program have not made ECE a priority, not all types of ECE services have been developed, and the coordinator of ECE programs has not been explicitly appointed. The objectives of the ECE programs have not set targets quantitatively. Keywords: public policy analysis, Early Childhood Education

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe argumentatively thefollow-up that needsto be done by university lecturers and theiruniversityof the result of students' evaluation of the lectures thathave been conducted.The evaluationof a university lecture is a decision-makingprocessof assessing the process and result of the lecture based oncollected facts and infonnation.It can be executed internally andexternally. University lecturers seldom makean evaluation of theirlecturesfor reasons of limited time and unavailability of any validinstrument. Even though evaluationof the lectures by students isalready a policy of the university, utilization of the result is notoptimumyet.The evaluation of such lectures should involve the studentsbecause they are the oneswho are to be the most concerned aboutthe resultsof the lecturing process and they already have enoughabilityto evaluate the process. Generally, questionnaires are theinstruments usedto collect the infonnation and data in evaluating thelectures. The resultofsuch evaluation is useful as feedback and basisfor making improvements, detennining the accountability, andmonitoring and controlling the qualityof education. As a follow-up,university lecturers and the university can adopt the followingagenda:(l) making decisions, (2) improving the quality of lecturesand conducting classroom action research,(3) establishing a standard for lecturing quality, and (4) establishing an assurance of theuniversity's quality

Abstract

This research aims to develop a "model of educative and attractive physical activity" (Majeda) based on children play as a mean for optimize kindergarteners’ growth and development. This research was using research and development of Borg and Gall. The research will be conducted in three stages: developing model, pilotting models, and the operational testing and dissemination of models. First phase of research to develop the model implemented by the following activities: preparing the model design, reviewing aspects of the teaching learning process in kindergarten, characteristics of kindergarterners, and the values and elements of motion in children play, choosing the format of Majeda, and validating the draft of Majeda. The result of analysis showed that the design of Majeda based on children play can be arranged, then validated by experts and practitioners.

Abstract

Traditional children game is proposed as a suitable physical activity for instructional mean in kindergarten. The research intends to develop traditional children game based instructional model to optimize development of fundamental motor skills of kindergarteners. This research and development used an approach from Borg Gall. The research involved kindergartens in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation, and then were analyzed in three steps: organization and reduction, displaying, and summarization and verification. The study phase follows activities: identification of theoretical basis and determination of instructional model design, identification and analysis of traditional children game, and validation of instructional model. After being validated by material experts and teaching experts, the traditional children game based instructional model for optimizing the development of kindergarteners’ fundamental motor skills consists of: (1) concepts/theoretical basis, (2) activity stages, (3) social systems, (4) principles of reaction, (5) supporting system, and (6) model impact.

Abstract

The competencies possessed by teachers have not been as expected, as evidenced by the average value of pedagogic competencies, which are still low compared to the results of professional competence scores on the Teacher Competency Test. This study aimed to develop a model for improving the pedagogic competence of Physical Education teachers which was arranged into a module that contains how to develop a learning implementation plan, how to create and use the learning media, how to create and use the teaching materials, and how to prepare and implement the learning assessments. The development tests that were carried out were: 1) alpha test, 2) beta test, and 3) final product validation. The alpha test is a product validation test by three experts, while the beta test is a load and product suitability test involving 27 teachers and 3 supervisors, followed by a final product validation stage involving 84 teachers who are divided into two groups, namely experimental and control. The research instruments used were a questionnaire and a competency improvement scale. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative descriptive data analysis, gain score data analysis, and t-test. Based on the results of the assessment at the alpha test, beta test, and program validation stages, the resulting product was declared suitable for use as a teaching material set. Furthermore, through the process of testing the effectiveness of the product, the model of increasing pedagogic competence based on teaching materials is proven to be effective and can significantly improve the pedagogic competence of Physical Education teachers.

Abstract

Students must have high self-confidence in learning physical education because self-confidence affects individual motor skill performance. The purpose of this study was to reveal differences in the influence of internal and external visual imagery on students' self-confidence in learning gymnastics with cartwheel material. This research is multiple linear regression experimental research. The number of samples in this study was 68 students. Actions are carried out by integrating internal and external visual imagery exercises in gymnastic learning. The data collection technique uses a self-confidence scale as an instrument. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that internal and external visual imagery had a significant effect on students' self-confidence (p=0.000 0.05), but there was a significant difference between internal and external visual imagery training (p=0.027 0.05) so that the internal visual imagery training method is better than the external imagery method (M=71.2941 67.8824). The results of this study indicate that students' self-confidence in performing wheel motion skills can be increased through internal and external visual imagery exercises that are integrated into the learning process, but internal visual imagery training methods are preferred.
