Abstract

Capacity is the main element for farmers in achieving their goals. Farmer’s Capacity consists elements of knowledge, attitude, and skills. With the increasing number of visits in Bali, especially Jatiluwih Agrotourism, farmers should be the subject of management so that they can fully enjoy the benefits of the visit. With the existence of agrotourism, agriculture and tourism can be a pair of harmonious sectors. Tourist’s feedback on the satisfaction and intention to revisit can be an input in the effort to increasing the farmer’s capacity in agrotourism management for its sustainability. This paper analyzes Farmer’s Capacity for Jatiluwih Agrotourism Management and Its Influence toward Tourist’s Satisfaction and Intention to Revisit. Primary and secondary data were obtained through interviews and filling out questionnaires with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis method. The results of Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis show that farmer’s capacity has a significant effect on tourists’s satisfaction, which leads to tourists’s intention to revisit. it is expected that higher capacity of agroutourism management among farmers will increase tourist’s satisfaction which affects tourist’s intention to revisit hence, improving the welfare of the community, especially farmers in Jatiluwih Agrotourism. Abstract

Golf is one of several sport tourist attractions that are increasingly demanding by domestic and foreign tourists during their visit to Bali. Unlike the others type of tourist attractions, golf tourism could be classified as a quality attraction. Tourists who play golf spend more money than other sport activities. Refers to this fact, golf tourism could be an alternative to realizing the establishment of quality tourism in Bali. This work aims to study the significance of the determinants of tourists' satisfaction as well as their loyalty in visiting Bali as a destination that offers golf attractions. Intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation from golfers are positioned as the antecedent of the level of satisfaction with their trust to the golf providers acts as the mediation of the causal relationship occured. Using 5-scale Likert questionnaire, the opinions of 113 foreign tourists who played golf in Bali were used to examine the structural equation models that were built. The results of the analysis show that both types of motivation have positive influences on tourist trust in golf operators, and through the trust mediation, these motivations positively influence the level of tourist loyalties. The results of the analysis also showed that tourists’ trust to the golf operators had a significant effect on tourist loyalty. The main findings of this research conclude the vital role of tourists’ trust to the golf operators in Bali in increasing their loyalty to play golf while visiting Bali. Abstract

Kintamani destination has become a forerunner to the development of tourism in Bali. The last few years the brand Kintamani Destinations increasingly unpopular. This study aims to explain the paradigm shift and the role of management Kintamani Destinations in shaping the quality of service, image, satisfaction, and visitor’s loyalty integrated manner affecting the sustainability of tourism. Management acts as a service provider consisting of stakeholders. Research on management aspects (supply side) has been implemented in the first phase qualitatively through depth interview. In stage II, conducted quantitative research on aspects of service quality, image, satisfaction and loyalty of visitors to Kintamani using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). By accidental sampling questionnaire conducted to 250 tourists who visit Kintamani Destinations. Later in the third stage, verify the relationship of service quality, image, satisfaction, and loyalty to the sustainability of tourism in Kintamani through Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The findings of this research is the paradigm and the role of stakeholders in the destination management affects the quality of services provided in Kintamani. Aspects of quality of service, image, satisfaction significantly affect the loyalty of tourists visiting Kintamani. The four aspects are directly determine the sustainability of tourism in Kintamani. The novelty of this research is both, from the aspect of supply and demand, destination management, service quality, imaging, and satisfaction rating affects loyalty, as well as an integrated manner affecting the sustainability of Kintamani tourism Destinations. These research results bring to all stakeholders that the management of destinations and image dominant influence on the sustainability of Kintamani Tourism Destinations. Thus, these aspects will be the focus of stakeholders in maintaining and developing Kintamani Tourism Destinations. Kintamani Destinations consider as a Tourist Destination Region Lodging (DTWK) with various constraints and limitations. The research on other aspects that critically affect the continuity of Kintamani Tourism Destination needs to be done further.

Abstract

Globally, competition among tourism destinations is more stringent in getting foreign tourists, including Bali. One effort to win the competition is increasing destination brand equity through maintaining its influencing factors and gaining tourist positive behavior toward destination. This effort, in long run, will increase and stabilize destination revenue and sustainability. This research aims to analyze factors influencing brand equity of Bali as a tourism destination. This research was conducted in Bali’s five major tourism objects. The 240 foreign tourists were chosen as respondents through convenience sampling technique. Data were analyzed using factor analysis. The results showed that factors that significantly influenced Bali brand equity were: symbolic and experiential benefit factor, direct and indirect destinations attributes, destination reliability and tangibility, assurance and empathy, brand destinations recognition and recall, destinations common psychological attributes, destination common functional attributes, unique functional attributes, behavioral loyalty, destination awareness, and attitudinal loyalty. Given the fluctuative nature of brand equity, Bali needs a consistent effort to maintain or to enhance brand equity of Bali as a tourism destination. Maintaining the dominant factors that influence the strength of brand equity can be used as a basis to develop destination branding strategy to expand market segment, choose the right target market, and anchoring destination position in world market competition.

Abstract

Free Independent Traveler (FIT) is the majority market of Labuan Bajo, including Chinese FIT. The main characteristic of this market is their dependency on the internet, therefore build up the destination image through digital marketing is very essential. The objective of this study were to identify the potential of Labuan Bajo as Indonesia super priority destination, to analyze main atraction of Labuan Bajo for Chinese FIT market, and to develop Labuan Bajo digital branding stategy for Chinese FIT. This research used qualitative descriptive by implementing data through literature review, observation, interview, and social listening. Data was analyzed by using qualitative descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The result showed that Pink Beach, Padar Island, komodo, and live on board could be used as the brand icon of Labuan Bajo in Chinese FIT marketing digital system. Therefore, Labuan Bajo should choose the right digital platform, start using Mandarin language, and build up partnership with Chinese key opinion leader (KOL) in each content to ensure Labuan Bajo promises well receipt by Chinese FIT online community. Abstract

This article examines how foreign tourists respond to authentic elements of Balinese culture displayed by hoteliers in Bali. It takes three international hotels as the object of study, namely the Nusa Dua Beach Resort and Spa Hotel, W Hotel Seminyak, and Four Seasons Resort in Ubud. These three hotels were chosen because they are international hotels located in three different tourist destinations, but all offer elements of Balinese culture as part of their services. The article discusses the problem of how tourists respond to elements of Balinese culture, especially architecture, food, art-culture and hospitality. This is qualitative research that draws on data collected through the technique of netnography in the form of tourist comments posted on Tripadvisor about services in the hotel where they stayed. Data were analyzed with response theory and interpretive content analysis theory. Analysis shows that tourists are attracted to authentic elements of Balinese culture. The article recommends that international hotels explicitly display elements of Balinese culture to support the image of Bali as a cultural tourism destination.Keywords: Balinese culture, architecture, Balinese food, netnography, hospitality

Abstract

Competitiveness of Bali tourism lays on the variety of attractions offered to visitors. Subak-based agritourism in Jatiluwih is one of the competitiveness of cultural based of Bali tourism which offer an amazing rice field terrace and variety of agritourism activities. Understanding the role of brand destination in influencing satisfaction of visitors is very important. Evaluating relationship between satisfaction and intention to be loyal are crucial. The research objectives were: (i) to analyze the influence of brand awareness, brand image and brand association of Jatiluwih agritourism to perceive quality (satisfaction) of foreign tourists in visiting Jatiluwih, and (ii) to evaluate relationship between satisfaction of foreign tourist to their loyalty. Research was conducted at Jatiluwih of Bali Province in the periods of June up to August 2016. The number of respondents was 207 foreign tourists who were visiting Jatiluwih. Structural Equation Model (SEM) was developed and data was analyzed by using Smart PLS-3 based on the five-point Likert scale. The results show that (i) brand awareness, brand images and brand association of subak-based agritourism in Jatiluwih significantly influenced satisfaction of foreign tourist, (ii) satisfaction of foreign tourist significantly influenced their loyalty, (iii) Awareness to a brand, create images to a brand and can associate a brand before visiting a destination have proved that brand destination of Jatiluwih have been an informational signal for visitors who intent to visit Jatiluwih agritourism in Bali.

Abstract

Tourism activities in Nusa Penida have experienced a very rapid increase in recent years, mainly in Jungutbatu Village, which is the village where Nusa Penida tourism began around 1970. After the transition from the seaweed farming activities in recent years, now the community relies on the tourism sector. The rapid development of marine tourism and the importance of this to the economy of the community of Jungutbatu Village, requires its management be carried out properly and sustainably. The purposes of this study were to determine the management of marine tourism in Jungutbatu Village through the application of four management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling), and to analyze tourist perceptions on the application of sustainable tourism management in Jungutbatu Village. The research approach was descriptive qualitative and data collection methods were observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature study. The results of this study indicated that the management of marine tourism in the Jungutbatu Village was carried out by involving various parties such as the community, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations, and the government. The planning, organizing and actuating processes that involved and accommodated the interests of various parties built a sense of responsibility and awareness to participate in the controlling process. Good management led to a good perception of tourists who came to visit, which in turn affected satisfaction and then influenced loyalty to revisit or recommend the marine tourism area of Jungutbatu Village to others. Abstract

Electronic word of mouth (EWOM) is quite effective in increasing the decision to visit tourist destinations. Indirectly, electronic word of mouth has an important role in forming a brand image, so there is a need for a good brand image to increase trust so that tourist visits can increase. The purpose of this research are to (1) to analyze the effect of the Electronic Word of Mouth on brand image, trust and the decision to visit in Kampung Tridi Malang, (2) to analyze the influence of brand image on the decision to visit in Kampung Tridi Malang, and (3) to analyze the effect of trust on decisions. visited Kampung Tridi Malang. This study uses SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis using the SmartPLS 3.0 student version software. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire with 100 respondents. The distribution of questionnaires was carried out by purposive sampling to domestic tourists. The results of this research indicate that 1) electronic word of mouth has a significant effect on brand image, (2) electronic word of mouth has a significant effect on trust, (3) electronic word of mouth has a significant effect on visiting decisions, (4) brand image has a significant effect on trust. decision to visit and (5) trust has a significant effect on the decision to visit 6) electronic word of mouth has a significant effect on the decision to visit through brand image 7) electronic word of mouth has a significant effect on the decision to visit through trust. The influence of EWOM on the decision to visit is quite strong so that it can be considered for the managers of Kampung Tridi Malang to further develop marketing using social media.
