Abstract

Abstract   Objective: Destination brand equity is a collection of assets and liabilities of a brand that add or subtract value from a product or service to a company or its customers. Destination brand equity plays a significant role in the characteristics and segmentation of tourist destinations and in increasing tourist loyalty and revenues derived from the destination. Three variables can influence destination brand equity: destination brand awareness, association, and image. This study aims to determine destination brand equity, namely, destination brand awareness, destination brand association, destination brand image, and destination brand equity. Design/Methods/Approach: This study uses a library research method with three main stages: 1) Planning a literature review by determining the research topic through journal searches and academic discussions. 2) Conducting a literature review by collecting and analyzing literature sources related to coffee farmers' income, welfare levels, and food security. 3) Reporting a literature review, namely compiling the results of literature findings systematically based on themes and patterns found in the literature. Findings: This study emphasizes the importance of destination brand awareness, association, and image in building destination brand equity. Originality/Value: This study offers a new perspective on understanding destination brand equity by comprehensively highlighting the role of destination brand awareness, destination brand association, and destination brand image. With a systematic literature study approach, this study contributes to developing a conceptual framework that can be used for further research and provides insight for practitioners in tourism destination management strategies. Practical/Policy implications: Company management recommendations should focus on destination brand awareness, destination brand association, and destination brand image in building the company's destination brand equity. The limitations of this study lie in the limited scope of variables, so further research is needed to obtain other variables with in-depth discussions.   Keywords:Brand; Awareness; Association; Image; Equity

Abstract

This research aims to inspect the role of agrarian cultural values in mediating the influence of destination brand awareness, association, image, quality, and satisfaction on destination brand equity and expand the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces branding by including cultural aspects by considering visitors' points of view regarding destination brand awareness, association, image, quality and satisfaction. This research was using Latent Variable Analysis (Lavaan) to analyze data. The number of samples in this study was determined to be 68 respondents. The data collection technique through interviews with questionnaire tools starts from measuring variables which are carried out by creating indicators to prevent deviations from the main problem. This paper provides empirical insight into how agrarian cultural values are influenced as a mediating variable. This shows that agrarian cultural values are not the reason why visitors visit Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. However, it can be seen that the more satisfied visitors are, the greater their curiosity about the agricultural and cultural values. The study's findings might not broadly apply because of the selected research methodology. As a result, researchers are encouraged to test the suggested theories further. This article contains implications for developing agrarian cultural values, namely by collaborating with the tour guide, and providing provision or training so that the tour guide is able to explain the cultural values of the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Apart from that, the management of Jatiluwih Rice Terraces can add in-depth cultural information on the website and flayer which will be given to visitors at the entrance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship, innovation, financial management, and farmers' capacity on the business performance of layer poultry farms in Penebel District, Tabanan Regency. The research was conducted in three main villages: Babahan, Senganan, and Jatiluwih, which are the centers of layer poultry farming in the region. The analytical method used was Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA) with a saturated sampling technique involving 51 farmers. The results indicate that entrepreneurship, innovation, financial management, and farmers' capacity do not have a significant effect on business performance. This is mainly due to the influence of external factors such as fluctuations in feed and egg prices, as well as the farmers' position as price takers in the market. Therefore, empowering farmers and implementing supportive policies are necessary to optimize the development of layer poultry farming businesses.

Abstract

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Workers, especially those in the informal and low-income sectors, often face the dilemma of fulfilling their need for safe and nutritious food. The main problem that emerges is the economic limitations that encourage them to choose food based on price and practicality, even though these choices may ignore the safety and nutritional value of the food. In addition, access to healthy food is often limited due to unsupportive working conditions, low food literacy, and lack of regulations or supporting infrastructure in the work environment. This phenomenon indicates a gap between awareness of the importance of healthy food and the ability to realize it in daily practice. This study examines how socio-economic dynamics such as income, market access, education level, and cultural norms influence workers' food preferences and food safety considerations. It also aims to understand how risk perception and work environment conditions shape the workers' consumption patterns. METHODS The research method used in this study was a literature study utilizing online sources such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Science Direct. FINDINGS The results of this study show that economic limitations often encourage workers, especially in the informal sector or those on low incomes, to prioritize food affordability and practicality. This often overrides nutritional quality and food safety, even though they are aware of risks such as contamination and poor hygiene standards. On the other hand, workplace conditions and risk perception significantly influence workers' food consumption behavior; workers with low-risk perceptions tend to prefer food practicality, while those with high-risk perceptions face a dilemma between maintaining health and limited resources. CONCLUSION The study concluded that integrating food safety aspects with consumer education programs and improving the quality of food infrastructure plays a crucial role in improving workers' welfare. These measures are expected to reduce health risks and support labor productivity. The findings also provide valuable insights relevant to agribusiness sector development and the design of public health initiatives
