Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the programs carried out by the Yayasan Pembangunann Berkelanjutan Sulawesi Utara (YPBSU) after the closure of the gold mine of PT. Newmont Minahasa Raya (PT. NMR). This research was conducted from December 2019 to February 2020 in Ratatotok Sub-District, Southeast Minahasa district by tracing information from the Ratatotok Sub-District community who had received assistance from Yayasan Program Pembangunan Berkelanjutan Sulawesi Utara (YPBSU). The selection of respondents was 13 people using snow balling technique. Analysis of the data used in this study is descriptive analysis. The results showed that only two out of seven economic assistance distributed to the community was effective and five of which were ineffective (unable to continue). This is due to the lack of close supervision from the Yayasan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan Sulawesi Utara (YPBSU) for the assistance that has been distributed to the community

Abstract

This study aims to determine the time allocation of women in the copra-making process in Pandu Village, Bunaken Sub-district, Manado City. The research was conducted from November 2020 to January 2021. The data used were primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through interviews using a questionnaire to 20 respondents, while secondary data was obtained from the Pandu Village Office. Furthermore, the data collected was analyzed descriptively. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the average time spent by women in Pandu Village, Bunaken District, Manado City in one copra-making process was 51.85 hours. Meanwhile, the work time for men was 71.20 hours. In other words, the time spent working for women in making copra was 42.14% of the total time spent working for men and women. The largest proportion of women's involvement is in the chopping sub-process which reaches 47.66%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income of horticultural traders in Tanawangko Market, Borgo Village, Tombariri District, Minahasa Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted for two months, namely in October and November 2020. The method used in this study was a survey method by taking primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis which is presented in tabular form. The results of research, total revenue of Rp. 2,909,750 while the total cost of Rp. 2,097,450 consisting of business capital and market retribution costs. The profit of Tanawangko market traders during the Covid 19 pandemic was an average of IDR 812,300 / week.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of corn farming in Pakuweru Village, Tenga District, South Minahasa Regency. The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from direct interviews with farmers using a questionnaire. The number of respondents was 9 corn farmers out of a total of 91 farmers. Respondents were selected using the Purposive Sampling Method, with the sample criteria being those who planted corn during the pandemic and the harvest was in August 2020. The sample farmers were divided into two categories according to the planted area. The first category is those who have a planting area of 2 hectares and below, while the second category is those who have a planting area of more than 2 hectares. The results showed that the average income per farmer in the first category, which has a planting area of 2 hectares and below, is Rp. 356,450, or Rp. 254,607/ha, while for the second category, namely farming with a planting area of more than 2 hectares, the average income per farmer is Rp. 17,699,835, with an average income per hectare of Rp. 3,371,398. So the average income per hectare of corn farming with a planting area of more than 2 hectares is much higher than that of a farm with a planting area of 2 hectares and below.

Abstract

This study aims to determine which factors that influence corn production in the Kawangkoan Bawah Sub-District, Amurang Barat District, South Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted from June to September 2021. The data collected in this study were primary data in the form of dialogue with informants and respondents and secondary data obtained from previous research and literature. Analysis of the data used in this study using multiple linear regression method, with the Cobb-Douglas production function model. The results showed that the variables of planting area, seeds, urea fertilizer, ponska fertilizer, labor, and pesticides simultaneously affected the amount of corn production in Kawangkoan Bawah Village, Amurang Barat District and partially the factors that affected production. corn at = 5% is the land area factor (X1) and the seed factor (X2).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the income of lowland rice farming in Tonom Village, Dumoga Timur District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research was conducted for 3 months, from November 2021 to January 2022. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. The sample was selected using a proportional stratified random sampling method (Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling). The population was divided into three strata based on the area of land planted with lowland rice, namely strata I (land area 1 Ha), Strata II (land area 1-2 Ha) and strata III (land area 2 Ha). The number of samples is 30 people from 116 farmer population. The results of this study indicate that the income of lowland rice farming per hectare at strata I, II, and III respectively is Rp. 6,029,865, Rp. 6,241,915, and Rp. 6,257,939. This shows a tendency that the larger the cultivated land, the higher the income per hectare from lowland rice farming.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of cayenne pepper farming in Tambelang Village, Maesaan District, South Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted for 2 months, from August to September 2022. The data collection method used in this research is the documentation method, which is a method that aims to obtain data related to research variables through various sources of literature and institutions. The data analysis method used in this study is to use descriptive analysis. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from direct interviews with cayenne pepper farming owners in the research destination villages. Secondary data was obtained through documentation of data that has been published by various agencies and literature related to this study. The results showed that the income of cayenne pepper farming in Tambelang Village, Maesaan District was very profitable with an income of Rp. 17,531,094 / planting season and if it is calculated per month, it is found that the average income per month has a very large income.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the management of Pakakaan Agropolitan Area, Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted in the Pakakaan Agropolitan Area, Minahasa Regency from July to August 2022. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the head of BAPPEDA, the Public Works Office, the Minahasa Regency Agriculture Office and observation. Secondary data obtained from the Minahasa Central Bureau of Statistics. The variables measured in this study are superior commodities and supporting facilities and infrastructure. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the total production of leading commodities in the Pakakaan Agropolitan Area continued to increase even during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Pakakaan Agropolitan Area had infrastructure facilities that could support agriculture, there was a network of connecting roads between villages, cities, business roads for farmers and there was a network irrigation but the management and maintenance did not go well due to the Covid-19 pandemic which caused a diversion of the budget to the Health Service.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design a spatial model of urban settlement areas using the Cellular Automata approach in South Minahasa Regency. The research location is located in a sub-district in South Minahasa Regency which has a delineation of urban settlement areas namely Tumpaan, Tareran, Amurang Timur, Amurang, Amurang Barat, Tenga and Sinonsayang Districts, covering an area of ​​656.6 Km2. Primary data collection methods are: Field observation and distribution of questionnaires to academics, government and local communities. Secondary data collection methods, namely: literature review and data request survey. The method of analysis is quantitative analysis using AHP and spatial analysis based on Cellular Automata. The results of the research show that the direction of modeling starts towards the east and south of the research location. Urban residential land in the research location experienced a growth of 4.19% from the previous year in 2014 covering an area of ​​11.96 Km2 increasing by 15.26 Km2 to 27.22 Km2 in 2034. The modeling results also show that in the 2014-2019 range is the range in which growth the highest settlement that occurred was 5.7%. The development of settlements resulted in the conversion of several land uses, namely alang-alang land and mixed gardens. Urban settlements in Tareran District are settlements that experience greater growth among settlements in other districts with a percentage reaching 9.1%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the participation of farmer group members in Kakaskasen III Village, Tomohon Utara Sub-district, Tomohon City. This research was conducted for three months from July 2022 to September 2022. Starting from preparation until the preparation of the research report. The place of research was Kinaskas Farmers Group in Kakaskasen III Village, North Tomohon District, Tomohon City. The method of data collection carried out in the research is the method of observation and direct interviews to obtain facts and information from the sample using questionnaire tools. The types of data taken in the study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data taken in the field directly from vegetable farmers in Kakaskasen Village who are the research sample, using a list of questions that have been prepared. Secondary data were obtained from government agencies or institutions related to the research such as the Agricultural Extension Center (BPP), village offices and sub-district offices and internet references. Participation of farmer group members, using direct observation method, namely data collection method by observing directly in the field. The analysis was done descriptively. The results showed that kinaskas farmer group members were classified as very active at the implementation stage and active in decision-making activities but less active in the evaluation section. There needs to be an effort from the group management to increase the involvement of group members in evaluation activities because this activity is very important in improving group performance.
