Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of problem-solving skills using problem-based digital learning module. The research method used is quasi-experiment design with non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling of 60 subjects with 30 for the experimental class and 30 for the control class. The research result indicates the learning process both classes runs well. It is proven by the significance of the hypothesis test result which is less than α (0,005) < 0,05). It can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It means that there are differences in students’ problem-solving skills in the experiment class and control class. This proves the treatment in the experimental class using problem-based digital learning module integrated with religious values can influence students' problem-solving skills better than the PowerPoint learning media used in the control class.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian literatur terkait kemampuam komputasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pada jenjang SMP. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pendekatan PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review). Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 16 sampel dari penelitian terdahulu terkait kemampuan komputasi matematis siswan yang diterbitkan tiga tahun terakhir. Dengan pendekatan PRISMA, dari 70 data kemudian ditinjau sesuai kemampuan komputasi siswa berdasarkan model pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, materi pembelajaran, dan karakteristik belajar serta jenjang Pendidikan yang mengerucut menjadi 16 data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapat bahwa secara keseluruhan kemampuan komputasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika membutuhkan integrasi model dan media pembelajaran yang tepat, serta pemahaman terhadap karakteristik siswa.

Abstract

The Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning process on the topics of Hajj, Zakat, and Waqf in grade X at SMA PU Al-Bayan Cendekia Cianjur faces challenges due to low student achievement caused by conventional teaching methods that lack active student engagement. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Jigsaw method in improving students’ PAI scores using a quantitative quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental group taught using the Jigsaw method and a control group using conventional methods. Data were analyzed using t-tests and n-gain tests to measure significant improvement in scores. The results indicate that the Jigsaw method significantly improves students’ scores on Hajj, Zakat, and Waqf materials, with average n-gain scores in the moderate to high category. This method also enhances student motivation and engagement in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Picture and Picture learning model in improving students’ understanding of Qur’an and Hadith subjects. The study is motivated by the dominance of conventional teaching methods, which often result in suboptimal conceptual comprehension among students. Employing a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design, the research utilized an objective test administered before and after the implementation of the learning model. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test due to non-normal distribution. The findings revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.000), indicating that the Picture and Picture model is effective in enhancing students’ understanding. This model successfully translates abstract concepts in Qur’an and Hadith into more concrete representations, fosters student engagement, and positively influences cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.

Abstract

Accurate Qibla direction is a fundamental aspect of Muslim worship, especially in prayer. However, many studies have reported significant inaccuracies in Qibla determination, particularly in areas lacking proper astronomical tools or knowledge. At the same time, interest in mathematics among students in Islamic education remains relatively low, despite its critical role in religious practices. This study aims to systematically review recent literature that explores the role of mathematics in Qibla direction determination and its integration into Islamic education. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. Fourteen articles published between 2020 and 2024 were selected from indexed journal databases based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection involved document analysis of journal articles, books, and theses using relevant keywords such as “Qibla direction,” “Islamic education,” and “mathematics.” The selected articles were analyzed thematically and categorized based on year of publication, mathematical concepts applied (e.g., spherical trigonometry), and educational integration. The results show that mathematical approaches particularly spherical trigonometry play a central role in achieving high accuracy in Qibla direction determination. Furthermore, the integration of these mathematical concepts into Islamic education enhances students’ understanding of the connection between science and religion. This review suggests that embedding mathematical applications into Islamic contexts can increase student motivation and strengthen the relevance of mathematics in daily worship.

Abstract

The low level of critical and creative thinking skills among students is a major challenge in mathematics learning, especially in SPLDV material that requires a deep understanding of concepts. To overcome this problem, an ISC-based module was developed, designed to improve students' critical and creative thinking skills. This study aims to: (1) develop an ISC-based module to improve students' CCT; (2) determine the validity and feasibility of the developed module; and (3) measure the effectiveness of the module's use in improving students' CCT. This study uses a research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, develop, implement, and evaluate). The participants in this study were 40 students, consisting of 10 students in Grade VIII and 10 students in Grade IX, who were divided into a limited trial group (Grade IX) and a broader trial group (Grade VIII). The instruments used included an expert validation sheet, a student response questionnaire, and a CCT test. The results of the expert validation showed that the module was very feasible for use as teaching material. The limited trial and broader trial showed a significant increase in students' critical and creative thinking skills after using the module. Continuous evaluation through revision of the substance of the material, improvement of the design, and technical refinement of the presentation of the material also improved the quality of the module. Thus, the ISC-based module proved to be valid, feasible, and effective in improving students' CCT in SPLDV learning, as well as contributing significantly to efforts to improve the quality of mathematics learning oriented towards higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop instructional multimedia using the Construct 2 application to improve students’ mathematical understanding and self-regulated learning. The development follows the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. The research focuses on four aspects: the development process, product validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Validation results from material and media experts indicate that the product is valid. Practicality is shown through positive feedback from teachers and students during implementation. Effectiveness is measured through improved student performance in mathematical understanding and self-regulated learning, as seen in pretest and posttest results. The findings suggest that the developed multimedia is valid, practical, and effective for use in mathematics learning. Thus, it can serve as an innovative and interactive learning tool to support student engagement and comprehension.

Abstract

Mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam terkesan membosankan bagi beberapa siswa, maka guru PAI menerapkan beberapa model pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran yang digunakan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, (2) menganalisis pengaruh gender terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, (3) menganalisis keterkaitan antara model pembelajaran dan gender terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agam Islam.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah ex post facto. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Pemalang. Sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data bersumber dari dokumen berupa hasil belajar peserta didik dan dokumen sekolah. Statistic inferensial parametrik digunakan untuk mengambil kesimpulan terhadap suatu populasi dengan teknik uji hipotesis. Jenis perhitungannya adalah uji Anova Dua Jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh antara model pembelajaran yang digunakan dan gender terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam siswa kelas IX pada salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Pemalang.

Abstract

Siswa SMP sering mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep matematika yang abstrak dan membutuhkan bantuan visual dalam proses pembelajaran. Pengembangan media buku pop-up berbasis pendekatan investigasi bertujuan memberikan representasi visual dari konsep matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai validitas, praktikabilitas, dan efektivitas media buku pop-up berbasis pendekatan investigasi serta mengukur peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sebelum dan setelah menggunakan buku pop-up. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4D (define, design, develop, and disseminate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media ini sangat valid dari segi media dan materi. Praktikabilitas media ini dinilai sangat praktis, dan efektivitasnya diklasifikasikan sebagai sangat tinggi. Terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, yang dikategorikan sebagai tinggi. Junior high school students often struggle with grasping abstract mathematical concepts and benefit from visual aids in their learning process. The development of investigative-based pop-up book media aims to provide visual representations of these concepts. This research aims to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the investigative-based pop-up book media and to measure the improvement in students' mathematical communication skills before and after using the pop-up book. The research methodology employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The results indicate that the media is highly valid in terms of both media and content aspects. Its practicality is rated as highly practical, and its effectiveness is classified as very high. There is a significant improvement in the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students, categorized as high.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe; (1) Differences in the application of learning models (TPS, TPSq, and Conventional) to PAI learning outcomes; (2) Knowing Iqra's reading ability in terms of the economic factors of the student's parents in categories (Upper, Middle and Lower); (3) Seeing whether there is an interaction between the learning model and Iqra's reading ability in determining PAI learning outcomes. The approach taken in this research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study was grade 1 students at SDIT Nur El-Qolam Serang Banten consisting of 76 students. The instruments used consist of; (1) the test determines PAI learning outcomes through a questionnaire with a questionnaire of 25 questions, including; 20 PG and 5 Essays. (2) test the ability to read Iqra through an oral test, namely reading the book Iqra volume 2. The data analysis technique in this research uses two-way ANOVA analysis. The results of this research show that; (1) There are differences in student PAI learning outcomes based on learning models (TPS, TPSq, and Conv); (2) There is no difference in student PAI learning outcomes based on Iqra reading ability in terms of the economic factors of the students' parents categories (Upper, Middle and Lower); (3) And there is no interaction between the Learning Model and Iqra reading ability in determining Student PAI Learning Outcomes.
