Abstract

Proyek kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya dan keterampilan para guru sekolah dasar (SD) di Kecamatan Polokarto, Kabupaten Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah, melalui aktivitas memproduksi kain dengan teknik ecoprint menggunakan metode pounding. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh para guru di SDN Ngombakan 2 dalam pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka, khususnya pada integrasi elemen budaya dan lingkungan ke dalam proyek Profil Pancasila (P5) yang masih kurang mendapatkan akses pelatihan secara nasional. Kesenjangan akses ini menghambat guru untuk mengidentifikasi dan memilih aktivitas yang menggabungkan kekayaan budaya dengan kesadaran ekologis dalam kerangka P5. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini berisi pelatihan yang difokuskan pada penerapan teknik ecoprint pada kain, menggunakan pewarna alami dan metode pounding untuk untuk menghasilkan seni tekstil yang ramah lingkungan dan hemat biaya. Aktivitas ini memiliki potensi pengembangan keterampilan mengintegrasikan ecoprint ke dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan tujuan akhir meningkatkan apresiasi budaya siswa dan kesadaran lingkungan. Luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarkaat ini meliputi: (1) pengembangan pengetahuan guru dalam membuat hiasan ecoprint pada kain dengan teknik pounding; (2) pengembangan keterampilan praktis guru dalam membuat hiasan ecoprint pada kain; (3) pengembangan metode pengajaran inovatif, dan (4) karya para guru berupa motif dan ornamen visual yang diwujudkan ke dalam kain fungsional menggunakan teknik ecoprint.Kata Kunci: Proyek P5, Sekolah Dasar, Kriya Tekstil, Ecoprint, Pounding.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pada peserta didik kelas III SD 2 Purwosari keterampilan membaca pemahaman belum optimal. Hal tersebut karena keterbatasan media yang masih belum memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar siswa sebagai sumber belajar dalam proses pembelajaran. Buku teks yang beredar dicetak secara nasional sehingga memiliki kelemahan yaitu masih terdapat contoh-contoh yang tidak ada di lingkungan siswa dan contoh-contoh yang diberikan kurang sesuai dengan daerah tempat tinggal siswa sehingga siswa tidak memiliki pengetahuaan awal atau pondasi terhadap materi yang dipelajari. Perbaikan kualitas pembelajaran dilakukan dengan pengembangan media dan bahan ajar membaca berbasis lokal Kecamatan Kota Kudus yang dapat menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran dalam keterampilan membaca pemahaman pada peserta didik.Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas). Data penelitian diperoleh dengan metode observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa mengalami peningkatan, dapat dilihat dari rata-rata kelas yang diperoleh pada siklus 1 sebesar 72 dengan ketuntasan 42%, rata-rata kelas pada siklus 2 sebesar 76 dengan ketuntasan 55% dan rata-rata kelas pada siklus 3 mencapai 84 dengan ketuntasan 90%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas III SD 2 Purwosari Kudus dan kualitas pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dengan menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis lokal Kudus.

Abstract

Global socio-cultural changes have significantly impacted traditional cultural life in various regions. In Banyuwangi, East Java, global cultural changes have influenced the lifestyle of the Osing community, the indigenous people of Banyuwangi. One of the cultural changes among the Osing is the shift in economic systems from agrarian-maritime to industrial. This change has eroded the socio-cultural space of traditional performing arts. The situation has led traditional artists, especially Osing traditional musicians, to face an existential crisis regarding their roles and functions. Traditional art performances, particularly traditional music, which used to be their space for expression in society, are now rare. This has led to a reduction in the intensity and frequency of work for Osing traditional musicians. This research aims to demonstrate and explain the new role of Osing traditional musicians in preserving and reaffirming their existence through their roles as music teachers in formal schools. The study adopts an ethnomusicological approach using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. Ethnographic analysis of the data indicates that the new role of Osing traditional musicians as music teachers in formal schools has emerged due to the limited role they play in traditional performances. In such circumstances, a paradoxical situation arises. On one hand, industrialization weakens traditional arts, leading to an existential crisis for musicians as stage performers. On the other hand, the government's awareness of the need to preserve cultural identity in the global arena requires strengthening cultural heritage through education, which cannot solely rely on formal school teachers. This is where Osing traditional musicians seize the opportunity to take on roles as teachers in formal schools. As a result, the role of traditional musicians remains relevant, and the inheritance of Osing traditional music culture is preserved and sustainable.

Abstract

The Preparatory Committee for the Upholding of Islamic Law (KPPSI) was established on 28 May 2000. Laskar Jundullah is an autonomous body under the KPPSI, but there is no effective coordination between Laskar Jundullah and KPPSI. In recruitment, membership of the KPPSI takes place openly, whereas Laskar Jundullah is more closed. This research explains the relationship between the two organizations, intended as a reference model to understand radical religious movements in the region. The data was collected through interviews, literature reviews, papers, and related news. This study shows that an Islamic organization is not free from intact radical Muslim groups. Loose structure its even makes the organization more vulnerable to being used by radical groups.

Abstract

Teknologi komputer saat ini telah berkembang pesat sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Sehingga kegunaan komputer juga berkembang pada berbagai bidang kehidupan manusia mulai dari pendidikan, hiburan, sampai kepada bidang bisnis. Pada saat ini, Sistem kepegawaian yang berjalan masih dilakukan secara manual, dengan melibatkan arsip pegawai untuk input data dan laporan yang harus disimpan pada saat proses penerimaannya, sehingga membutuhkan waktu dalam prosesnya. Melihat kenyataan itu, penulis mencoba membantu untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan cara membuat sistem yang masih manual menjadi sistem yang sudah terkomputerisasi untuk mempermudah proses input, edit, maupun penyimpanan data. PT. Halim Industri Beton Ringan khususnya pada bagian personalia dan umum membutuhkan suatu sistem informasi yang menunjang dan memberikan kemudahan bagi user. Untuk itulah penulis mencoba membuat Skripsi tentang Perancangan Sistem Informasi Kepegawaian di PT. Halim Industri Beton Ringan Berbasis Dekstop dengan Menggunakan Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. Maka dari itu dengan perancangan program ini tentu akan lebih baik dari sistem manual dan berjalan lebih efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya dan keterampilan guru SD dalam membuat karya kerajinan tapestry. Masalah utama yang dihadapi guru di SDN Ngombakan 2 adalah kurangnya pelatihan untuk mengintegrasikan budaya dan lingkungan dalam kreasi prakarya bermuatan karakter. Banyak guru yang belum percaya diri dalam memilih aktivitas yang menggabungkan budaya dan ekologi, serta minimnya wawasan tentang seni ramah lingkungan. Pelatihan ini fokus pada teknik pembuatan karya kerajinan tapestry, yang terjangkau dan mudah diakses oleh guru dan siswa, memungkinkan penerapan pendidikan karakter tanpa biaya tinggi. Diharapkan, guru dapat lebih kreatif mengembangkan aktivitas pembelajaran yang relevan dan berkelanjutan. Luaran yang diharapkan meliputi keterampilan guru dalam membuat karya tapestry, publikasi artikel jurnal ber-ISSN, video dokumentasi, dan publikasi di media massa. Kegiatan ini menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) yang melibatkan eksplorasi konsep, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan penugasan kolaboratif. Materi pelatihan mencakup teknik dasar pembuatan tapestry, kriya tekstil, dan praktik pembuatan karya, agar guru dapat mengemas aktivitas pembelajaran prakarya bermuatan karakter yang kreatif.

Abstract

This study explores the geometric concepts embedded in Kaddo’ Masingkulu, a triangular-shaped traditional cake rooted in Bugis-Makassar culture, and its potential in supporting Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) through an ethnomathematical lens. The research aims to (1) examine the flat shape properties reflected in Kaddo’ Masingkulu and (2) analyze the integration of Bugis-Makassar cultural elements into mathematics teaching to enhance conceptual understanding and cultural awareness. Employing a qualitative exploratory case study design, data were collected from 2 teachers, 10 students, and 2 cultural practitioners in an elementary school in Takalar Regency, using interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis revealed that the triangle in Kaddo’ Masingkulu carries both mathematical and symbolic meanings-representing harmony among humans, nature, and the divine. Students demonstrated improved understanding of flat shapes, including triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids, by engaging with culturally familiar contexts. Teachers utilized visual, narrative, and project-based strategies to connect geometry content with students' everyday experiences. The integration of ethnomathematical content not only reduced misconceptions in geometry but also promoted student motivation and confidence. The study concludes that leveraging local cultural artifacts such as Kaddo’ Masingkulu enhances the contextualization of abstract mathematical concepts and affirms learners’ cultural identities. These findings imply the need for culturally grounded instructional models in mathematics education and highlight CRT as a viable pedagogical framework for multicultural classrooms.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is still dominated by conventional methods in explaining the material in class, thus less supporting the development of critical thinking skills. This challenge is increasingly relevant to 21st-century learning and the Merdeka Curriculum, which demand the integration of technology and critical thinking skills in the learning process. This study aims to describe the influence of brain based learning assisted by PhET Simulation on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The method used was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 147 elementary school students in Magelang Tengah District, Magelang City. The study was conducted in May–June 2025. Students were given a mathematics critical thinking skills test before (pretest) and after (posttest) the implementation of brain based learning assisted by PhET Simulation. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test to measure the influence and the N-Gain test for effectiveness. The results of the independent sample t-test analysis showed a sig value of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating a significant influence of brain based learning assisted by PhET Simulation on students’ critical thinking skills. The N-Gain test showed an average of 0.5002, which means that brain based learning is categorized as moderate or quite effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills. These findings indicate that the integration of BBL and PhET Simulation is effective in improving the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Brain and technology-based learning models support the Merdeka Curriculum by developing critical thinking. The contribution of this research is in the form of strategic steps to develop learning to balance brain function with the help of technology to support 21st century skills.

Abstract

This study examines the levels of fiction text comprehension among fourth-grade primary school students in Surakarta, Indonesia, using Barrett’s Taxonomy as the analytical framework. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, and data were collected through reading comprehension tests, classroom observations, and interviews with students and teachers. The five levels of comprehension literal, reorganization, inferential, evaluative, and appreciative were assessed to map the range of students’ reading abilities. The findings show notable variation across comprehension levels. Literal comprehension achieved the highest score (91.35%, high category), indicating strong ability to recall explicit information. In contrast, reorganization (40.73%) and inferential comprehension (43.20%) were categorized as low, suggesting difficulties in synthesizing information and interpreting implicit meaning. Evaluative comprehension was moderate (69.13%), while appreciative comprehension received the lowest score (35.79%), reflecting limited engagement with the emotional and aesthetic qualities of the text. Overall, the results indicate that although students demonstrate strong surface-level understanding, their higher-order cognitive and affective comprehension skills are underdeveloped. The study recommends instructional practices that extend beyond factual recall by fostering critical interpretation, reflective judgment, and deeper engagement with literary texts. The implications for curriculum design and classroom instruction are outlined to address these specific gaps in comprehension.
