Abstract

A group of farmers in Sawah Baru Village work at the Kampar Gurami fish hatchery. The Pulai Jaya farmer group used natural techniques for gouramy spawning in the hatchery activities. Due to insufficient spawning eggs and intermittent seed production, this group has a challenge that results in very little revenue from its operations. The following goals of community service projects are : 1) Transfer technology for semi-natural gourami spawning to a farmer group in Pulai Jaya so they can produce more kampar gourami seeds. 2) Raise the revenue of the Pulai Jaya Farmers chairman and members and generate jobs, 3) In Sawah Baru Village, information agents and skills about the hatchery technology for semi-natural Kampar Gourami are being developed in order to be shared with other villages. The chairman and members of the Pulai Jaya farmer group have been motivated once again to carry out seeding activities as a result of this activity, according to the findings of observations made of them. They can also effectively absorb and put to use the provided information.

Abstract

Daun mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L) merupakan sumber protein nabati yang menjanjikan untuk pakan ikan karena kandungan protein kasarnya yang tinggi, berkisar antara 15% hingga 22,11%. Namun, karena kandungan serat kasar yang tinggi pada daun mengkudu, hal ini dapat mengurangi daya cerna nutrisi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengolahan untuk meningkatkan kualitas daun mengkudu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung daun mengkudu yang difermentasi dengan Rhyzopus sp dalam pakan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pakan dan pertumbuhan benih ikan patin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Lima jenis pakan diformulasikan mengandung 35% protein, dengan pakan P0 yang mengandung 100% tepung kedelai (pakan kontrol), dan pakan P1, P2, P3, dan P4 yang menggantikan tepung kedelai dengan tepung fermentasi daun mengkudu (TFDM) masing-masing pada tingkat 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100%. Benih ikan patin (dengan rata-rata berat tubuh 3,15 - 3,42 g) ditebar dalam keramba jaring apung berukuran 1 × 1 × 1 (m) dengan kepadatan 30 ikan per keramba. Pakan percobaan diberikan sebanyak 10% dari biomassa ikan uji dengan frekuensi tiga kali sehari pada pukul 08.00, 12.00, dan 16.00 WIB, selama 56 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan TFDM dalam pakan berpengaruh nyata terhadap efisiensi pakan dan pertumbuhan benih ikan patin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan TFDM sebanyak 75% dapat menggantikan tepung kedelai dalam pakan ikan patin, dengan kecernaan pakan (59,32%), kecernaan protein (81,05%), retensi protein (25,29%), efisiensi pakan (43,34%), dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik (3,62%).

Abstract

This study evaluated the utilization of maggot flour fermented with Aspergillus niger in gourami fish seed feed. The research was conducted using a one-factor Complete Random Design (RAL) with five treatments and three replications. The treatment used was feed without fermented maggot flour (P0), feed containing 25% fermented maggot flour (P1), feed containing 50% fermented maggot flour (P2), feed containing 75% fermented maggot flour (P3), and 100% feed containing fermented maggot flour (P4). Fish with an average initial weight of 2.93 ± 4.00 g were stocked into 15 net cages (1 × 1 × 1 m³) at a density of 25 fish per cage. The fish were fed test feeds at 10% of their body weight, 3 times daily (08:00, 13:00, and 17:00), for 56 days. Feed digestibility was assessed in an aquarium (60 × 40 × 40 cm³) at a dense stocking density of 10 fish per m³. The test feed contained 0,5 % Cr2O3. The results indicated that the inclusion of 75% fermented maggot meal yielded the best outcomes, with feed digestibility of 74.36%, protein digestibility of 88.76%, feed efficiency of 46.10%, protein retention of 33.38%, specific growth rate of 3.29% per day, and a survival rate of 100%.

Abstract

The socialization of hydroponics to the village community is an effort to develop the independence and welfare of the community by improving knowledge, attitudes, skills, Hydroponics is a cultivati Wick hydroponics is a simple hydroponic method that uses a wick as a link between nutrients and the roots of the growing media. This activity was carried out in Tanjung Simandolak Village, Benai District, Kuantan Singingi, Riau. This activity began with a theoretical and practical explanation with pakcoy mustard plants as an example, the practice carried out starting from seed sowing, wick system, transplanting and continued with a discussion session. The results of this activity are that the Tanjung Simandolak village community knows hydroponics in general, wick system hydroponics, plant maintenance, handing over hydroponics to the This activity adds to the knowledge and insight of the Tanjung Simandolak village community about hydroponics and can spread and teach the knowledge.

Abstract

Copra meal flour is used as a fish feed ingredient with a fairly high protein content of 18–24%. However, its crude fiber content is high, which can reduce its digestibility. Therefore, fermentation is needed to improve the quality of copra meal. This study aims to determine the percentage of copra meal flour fermented with EM4 in feed to produce the best feed efficiency and growth of gorami fish. This study employed an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD). Five types of feed were formulated to contain 32% protein, with feed P0 containing 100% soybean meal (control feed), and feeds P1, P2, P3, and P4 replacing soybean meal with fermented copra meal at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, respectively gorami fish fry (with an average body weight of 2.08 ± 0.11 g) were stocked in floating net cages measuring 1 × 1 × 1 m3 at a density of 25 fish per cage. The experimental feed was given at 10% of the test fish biomass frequency three times a day at 08.00, 12.00, and 16.00 WIB, for 56 days. Feed digestibility was measured by giving the test feed three times a day to satiation, mixed with Cr2O3 and protein. The results showed that the use of TBKF in the feed significantly improved feed efficiency and gorami fry growth. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the use of 75% fermented copra meal can replace soybean meal in gorami feed, with feed digestibility (57.63%),  protein digestibility (80.08%), protein retention (37.56%), feed efficiency (52.31%), and specific growth rate (4.05%).

Abstract

Perairan umum Pasir Pengaraian Riau merupakan habitat penting bagi ikan air tawar serta berperan dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur komunitas dan kondisi fisiologis ikan di perairan Pasir Pengaraian. Struktur komunitas dianalisis menggunakan kelimpahan relatif, indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’), indeks keseragaman (E), dan indeks dominansi (C), sedangkan kondisi fqisiologis dievaluasi melalui Viscerosomatic Index (VSI) dan Hepatosomatic Index (HSI). Identifikasi ikan dilakukan berdasarkan karakteristik morfologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan 961 individu yang terdiri atas 30 spesies dari 11 famili, dengan famili Cyprinidae sebagai kelompok dominan, khususnya genus Labiobarbus dan Barbonymus. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) sebesar 2,75 menunjukkan keanekaragaman sedang, indeks keseragaman (E) sebesar 0,81 menunjukkan komunitas yang relatif stabil, dan indeks dominansi (C) sebesar 0,09 menunjukkan tingkat dominansi yang rendah. Nilai VSI berkisar antara 0,93–12,38, sedangkan HSI berkisar antara 0,01–4,76. Selain itu, nilai faktor kondisi (FK) ikan berkisar antara 0,07– 4,65, yang menunjukkan variasi kondisi tubuh dan status energi antarspesies. Secara umum, perairan Pasir Pengaraian masih mampu mendukung komunitas ikan yang beragam dan relatif stabil. Integrasi analisis komunitas dan fisiologis memberikan gambaran yang lebih komprehensif mengenai kondisi ekosistem serta mendukung pengelolaan sumber daya perikanan air tawar secara berkelanjutan
