Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors causing flooding in Peoho Village, Watubangga District, Kolaka Regency. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The data used in this study consists of rainfall data, soil type, slope gradient, land use, drainage system, flood control buildings and river conditions in Peoho Village. The data were collected using various methods including observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis according to Creswell. While quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the study, the factors causing flooding in Peoho Village, Watubangga District, Kolaka Regency were caused by various factors, including moderate to high rainfall intensity. Another factor that causes flooding is the type of chromic latosol soil. This type of soil has a clay texture and small pores so that it quickly becomes saturated and water is difficult to absorb into the soil. The slope of the slope in Peoho Village which is dominated by flat and gentle slopes also contributes to the occurrence of flooding. Land use factors dominated by plantation land and a drainage system that does not function properly are also factors that cause flooding in Peoho Village.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal Sero, one of the local wisdom in Selayar that maintained the existence of sea waters in Selayar Islands Regency by using geographical analyses, namely ecological analysis. Each data in the study was obtained using in-depth interview data collection techniques, observation, and documentation. The results of the study showed that through the analysis of human interaction with the environment (Men ↔ Environment Theme of Analysis), three motives influenced the behavior of Sero fishermen in Bungaiya Village, namely cultural motives, aquatic environmental motives, and socio-economic motives. Three factors affect the catch by Sero fishermen in Bungaiya Village, namely the knowledge of Sero fishermen, Sero location, and Sero fishermen's performance, which were obtained through Human Activities ↔ Environment Theme of Analysis (analysis of the interaction between human activities and their environment). In Human Activities ↔ Environment Theme of Analysis (analysis of physical cultural appearance with its environment), it was found that three factors influence the Sero environment, namely fishing activities by Sero fishermen, Sero ownership systems, and local regulations and norms of the fishing community in Bungaiya Village.

Abstract

Kolaka Regency is an area with topographic conditions dominated by hills and steep slopes and has high rainfall intensity. Latambaga is one of the districts in Kolaka Regency which is prone to landslides. Therefore, this research aims to spatially analyze areas prone to landslides in Latambaga District, Kolaka Regency. This type of research is descriptive quantitative using data on slope slope, land use, rainfall and soil type. These data were analyzed using weighting and scoring. The research results of landslide hazard maps were created using GIS with the ArcGIS 10.3 software application through an overlay stage process. Based on the research results, it shows that the area is not prone to landslides covering an area of 2,519.83 Ha or 8.95%, the area is slightly prone to landslides covering an area of 12,775.49 Ha or 45.38%, the area is quite prone to landslides covering an area of 4,621.18 Ha or 16.41%, landslide prone areas are 3,874.94 Ha or 13.76% and very prone areas are 4,246.24 Ha or 15.08%.
