Abstract

Social forestry adalah upaya yang dilakukan untuk membuat masyarakat di sekitar hutan menjadi berdaya. Peneliti ingin mengungkap lebih jauh mengenai proses pemberdayaan dalam kerangka social forestry yang dilakukan terhadap masyarakat desa hutan di kawasan Taman Nasional Meru Betiri dengan menggali bagaimana relasi kuasa antara masyarakat desa hutan di kawasan Taman Nasional Meru Betiri dengan powerholders (Taman Nasional Meru Betiri). Hubungan pertukaran antara masyarakat desa penyangga kawasan konservasi bersifat asimetris terutama dalam melaksanakan norma atau aturan konservasi. Dalam hubungan ini terdapat kekuasaan yang bersifat memaksa bagi warga masyarakat. Pengaruh dan  hubungan kekuasaan dalam program pemberdayaan antara lembaga masyarakat desa penyangga dan Taman Nasional Meru Betiri  adalah bersifat negatif karena hubungan tersebut terjadi proses kekuasaan yang berlangsung dari pemimpin ke pengikut (dari atas  ke bawah) dan ada wewenang dalam pengelolaan kawasan konservasi. Mekanisme dan strategi meraih kekuasaan terkait dengan peran hukum dan aturan belum disadari sebagai suatu perjanjian bersama antara masyarakat dan taman nasional sebagai suatu konsensus bersama.

Abstract

Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas andalan dalam sektor perkebunan Indonesia. Sebagian besar ekspor kopi Indonesia adalah jenis kopi robusta (94%), dan sisanya adalah kopi jenis arabika. Sedangkan, konsumsi kopi dunia mencapai 70% berasal dari spesies kopi arabika dan 26% berasal dari kopi robusta. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sebenarnya peluang pasar kopi Arabika lebih besar dibandingkan kopi robusta. Tanaman kopi Arabika sangat cocok tumbuh di dataran tinggi. Namun ada beberapa petani di wilayah dataran sedang tetap membudidayakan Kopi Arabika. Salah satu wilayah tersebut adalah Desa Karangpring Kecamatan Sukorambi Kabupaten Jember yang berada di dekat lereng Gunung Argopuro Oleh karenanya penting melakukan penelitian terkait usahatani kopi arabika di ketinggian sedang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis kelayakan finansial usahatani kopi arabika; (2) menganalisis kepekaan usahatani kopi arabika terhadap kenaikan biaya produksi dan penurunan harga jual kopi; (3) menentukan prospek pengembangan kopi Arabika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan analitis.Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Simple Random Sampling. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah (1) Kelayakan finansial dengan criteria investasi yaitu NPV, IRR, Net B/C, Gross B/C, PR dan PP; (2) Analisis sensitifitas dengan melakukan simulasi perubahan kenaikan biaya produksi dan penurunan harga jual kopi; dan (3) Analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Usahatani kopi arabika di Desa Karangpring Kecamatan Sukorambi Kabupaten Jember secara finansial layak untuk diusahakan dan tidak peka terhadap perubahan biaya pupuk dan harga jual. Prospek pengembangan usahatani kopi arabika di desa Karangpring kecamatan Sukorambi adalah Grey Area artinya berada pada posisi lemah berpeluang. ABSTRACTCoffee is one of superior commodities of plantation sector in Indonesia. Robusta coffee is type of coffee that mostly exported by Indonesia (94%) and Arabica is the next. Moreover, 70% of world coffee consumption is Arabica coffee and 26% is Robusta. It indicates that the opportunity of Arabica coffee is higher than Robusta. Arabica coffee is suitable for high land;however, some farmers in medium land has cultivated the coffee. One of the area for Arabica coffee plantation in medium land is Karangpring Village, SukorambiSubdistrict, Jember Regency. The area located in the slope of Argopuro Mountain. Therefore, it is important to do research on Arabica coffee farming at medium altitude. The research aims to: (1) analyze the financial feasibility of Arabica coffee farming; (2) analyze the sensitivity of Arabica coffee farming toward increase in production cost and decrease in coffee price; (3) determine the prospect of development of Arabica coffee. The research uses descriptive and analytic methods as research method with sampling method of simple random sampling. Methods used for analysis are (1) financial feasibility with investment criteria of NPV, IRR, Net B/C, Gross B/C, PR and PP; (2) sensitivity analysis through simulation of change in the increase in production cost and decrease in coffee price; and (3) SWOT analysis. Research result shows that Arabica coffee farming at Karangpring Village SukorambiSubdistrict Jember Regency is financially feasible and it is not sensitive to changes in the cost of fertilizer and the selling price. Prospect for development of Arabica coffee farming at the village is in grey area, which is the position of weak but potential.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 had a bad impact and caused various businesses to experience many declines and even losses. Business actors carry out various ways to survive and save their businesses from bankruptcy. This study aims to determine the added value, income, and development strategy. The method in this study used descriptive and analytical methods. The sampling method in this research is the purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data used is added value, income analysis, SWOT analysis, and QSPM. The results showed that the Getuk Pisang Home Industry in Kediri Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic in processing bananas into Getuk Pisang products had positive added value. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the income received by the Getuk Pisang Home Industry experienced a very drastic decline when compared to the income before the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of the SWOT analysis show that the position of the Home Industry during the Covid-19 pandemic is in quadrant II, namely the diversification strategy, where companies must use strengths to take advantage of long-term opportunities. The SWOT matrix produces several alternative strategies that will determine the attractiveness of the data on the QSP matrix. The highest TAS (Total Attractive Score) value in the QSP matrix is 7.42, with optimizing internet media to increase sales of Getuk Pisang during the pandemic.

Abstract

Red chili is a vegetable commodity that is much needed, not only domestic needs but also abroad. District of Tempurejo Wonoasri Village area is an area where there is a group of farmers who namely farmers partnership and not partnership. The goal of study are: (1) Examines the factors which to base decisions for partnership and not partnership farmer. (2) Examines the income disparities for partnership and not partnership farmer. (3) Examines the factors that effect a level of income for partnership and not partnership farmer. The method used descriptive analysis method and comparative analysis method. This research used primary data and secondary data. The analysis method used priority setting analysis, income approach, and multiple linear regression analysis. The result of study shows that: (1) The order of priority factors for partnership farmers are: Indemnity risk; Capital guarantee; Market; Availability of fertilizer; The cultivation technical guidance; Post-harvest technical guidance; Government involvement; Planting certain varieties; and The openness of the employers. The order of priority factors that farmers do not partner are: The openness of the employers; Planting certain varieties; Government involvement; Availability of fertilizer; Post-harvest technical guidance; The cultivation technical guidance; Capital guarantee; Indemnity risk; and Market. (2) Average income of non-partner farmers and growers partners on red chili farming in the village Wonoasri is not significantly different, (3) factors that affect farmers' income levels are partnership and partnership is a production, the cost of soil lease, and farmers' membership status.

Abstract

Beef is one of the food requirements strategically in Indonesia. Consumption of beef each year has increased, while the price of beef also increased, it is contrary to the demand theory. The purpose of this research to know (1) what factors that influence the beef demand in Jember Regency; (2) what factors that influence the behavor of household consumer to consume in Jember Regency (3) preference of household consumer behavior for beef in Jember Regency The research method uses descriptive method and analytic method. The Data analysis use Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, Factor Analysis and Fishbein Multiatribut Analysis. Results from this study indicate (1) the factors affecting demand, namely, income level, chicken meat prices, and population (2) factors that influence the behavior of household consumers to consume in Jember: cultural factor, external character factors of consumers, social factors, the perception factor, privacy factor and motivation factors (3) Household consumer preferences for beef of three variables alternately; piece of meat, meat color and fat content.

Abstract

UD Matt Coffee merupakan salah satu agroindustri kopi yang mengolah produk Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung di Kabupaten Bondowoso. Adanya persaingan antar brand lokal Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung di Kabupaten Bondowoso selain kopi Matt Coffee membuat konsumen Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung dihadapkan dengan berbagai macam alternatif pilihan brand Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung. Oleh karena itu, UD Matt Coffee perlu mengetahui bagaimana perilaku konsumen dalam memilih dan mempertahankan pilihan terhadap produk Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung Matt Coffee untuk menjaga eksistensi produk di mata konsumen. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik konsumen, proses keputusan pembelian konsumen dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan konsumen untuk melakukan pembelian terhadap produk Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung Matt Coffee di Kabupaten Bondowoso. Penentuan daerah dengan metode purposive method. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif dan analitik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumen Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung Matt Coffee didominasi oleh laki-laki berusia produktif dengan penghasilan per bulan lebih dari Rp. 3.000.000,00. Proses keputusan pembelian konsumen Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung Matt Coffee meliputi 5 tahapan. Keputusan pembelian terhadap produk Kopi Arabika Java Ijen-Raung Matt Coffee di Kabupaten Bondowoso dipengaruhi oleh enam faktor utama.

Abstract

Fisheries sub-sector is one of the sub-sectors that has a strategic role innational development because the potential of Indonesia's natural resources as the largestmaritime country with fishery resources that the number is relatively large and scatteredalmost throughout the Indoneisa region. The research is aimed to know 1) Income of agroindustry "UD Diana Indah" in harvest season and famine season, 2) the risk of agroindustry "UD Diana Indah" in harvest season and famine, 3) development strategyon fish-based agroindustry of "UD Diana Indah". The research method used descriptiveand analytical. The sampling method was chosen by non probability sampling techniqueof purposive sampling. Data analysis used income analysis, risk analysis and Force FieldAnalysis (FFA). The results showed 1) Average monthly income that received by ―UD.Diana Indah", in its activities to produce fish rengginang in harvest season of 2017which is Rp. 4.852.264 and famine Rp. 1.347.819. Fish cracker products have an averagemonthly income in 2017 harvest season of Rp. 1.256.049 and famine season of Rp.175.611. 2) The Production process of fish rengginang both in harvest-famine season andfish cracker in harvest season has a very small risk level with value of coefficient variation< 0.5 respectively of 0.45, 0,22. and 0,44 and the lowerbound of profit or value of L >0,respectively of Rp. 525.098, Rp. 556.051 and Rp. 29.218 which means in everyproduction process of fish rengginang, no chance of losing from production process. Theproduction of fish crackers during the famine season has a greater risk level with thevalue of coefficient variation > 0.5 that is equal to 0,79 and lowerbound of profit < 0 is Rp– 517.157 which means that the production process of fish crackers during the famineseason has a chance in losing from every production process 3) focus strategy which isdetermined by agroindustry of "UD. Diana Indah" by partnering with several fishermenwho located in Situbondo and optimally use the government support in increasingproduction and productivity in terms of quality and quantity of fish rengginang and fishcrackers.

Abstract

Community empowerment approach should play role in improving human resourcesespecially in establishing and changing the community behaviour to achieve more quality livingstandard. The research aimed to participatory develop the capacity of Lembaga Masyarakat DesaHutan Konservasi (LMDHK) (Conservation Forest Village Community Institution)―Wonomulyo‖ through institutional social change in realizing institutional independence. Theresearch used qualitative approach with subject emancipation research approach. Locationdetermination method was conducted using purposive method, which was at Wonoasri Village,Tempurejo Sub-district, Jember Regency, East Java Province. Data source in the research waswords and actions of the key informants/stakeholders consisted of the administrators and membersof the Conservation Forest Village Community Institution as well as rehabilitation land farmers.Data collection obtained primarily from the result of observation, in-depth interview, and focusgroup discussion (FGD) as well as PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) method to conductinstitutional development. Data analysis used interactive model from Miles and Huberman. Theresearch results found that community intervention program on Conservation Forest VillageCommunity Institution was conducted through participatory research. The capacity building ofLMDHK ―Wono Mulyo‖ was conducted through self-learning process and building independentinitiatives. Therefore, independence development was a form of social change of human beingsfrom a situation that depended on aid to become more independent based on initiatives andcreativities of the local communities.

Abstract

The Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that have been proven to exist until now in Ampel Village, Wuluhan are business that sell both fresh and processed fish. This business is carried out from generation to generation in a simple way. Therefore, it is necessary to empower MSMEs to increase their income and business activities. The used method is counselling and mentoring for merchant and fish processors. The activities results are as followed: (1) “BERKAH LANCAR SEJAHTERA” community of fish merchants and processors has been formed, but the number and activities are still limited. (2) The location of the community on Google maps, (3) Diversification of processed fish that has the potential to be developed in the form of shredded fish but is still constrained by marketing and infrastructure. Some of the community member products have implemented digital marketing by posting on social media (Facebook) and, (4) Food safety standards have not been fully implemented by merchants and fish processors.  However, they have willing to carry out the correct method of food production gradually by their ability. The proposed suggestions are (1) community of fish merchants and processors can hold regular meetings, (2) objectify the production of processed products which more durable and promote them using online media, and (3) Apply the whole standard and procedures of food safety product, (4) Extend the time for MSMEs mentoring to reach improvement of MSMEs.

Abstract

The utilization rate of eel fish locally (in the country) is still very low, this is because many people still not familiar with this fish yet. Most of the population in Indonesia is still not familiar to consume an eel fish. Until now, the supply of eel fish seeds is still dependent on catching in nature. The condition of income decline experienced by eel fish farmers in the Kraton village, made changes to the production results caused by the price of eel fish that is still not affordable by the community. This change will have an impact on the sustainability of the eel fish cultivation business in Kraton village in Yosowilangun sub-district, Lumajang district. This study aims to know the income of eel fish farmers and the eel fish cultivation business sustainability. This study applied analysis of income and the sustainability of the Rapfish with the descriptive method. The results showed that (1) the eel fish farmers at Kraton village in Yosowilangun sub-district, Lumajang district earn income, (2) the status of sustainability of cultivation is at simply continues on dimension of ecological, social, economic and institutional.
