Abstract

The fourteenth SDG objective summarizes discussions on waste and pollution management, marine ecosystems, limiting storm damage, and protecting marine health as part of efforts to reduce and adapt to climate change. Waqf, on the other hand, is an instrument of Islamic social finances that has a sustainable character and is relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals, therefore it can be used to safeguard the environment, particularly undersea ecosystems. This study aims to identify the waqf model that is relevant to the SDGs by prioritizing the waqf model that may be adopted in Indonesia, which is in line with SDGs 14 from a Maqashid Syariah perspective. The results indicate that the Sukuk waqf model is the appropriate capital to assist the defense of the fourteen Sustainable Development Goals, namely the protection of the undersea ecology. This research also presents an appropriate blue Sukuk waqf model framework.

Abstract

The discussion on tackling climate change is summarized in the thirteenth SDGs goal. On the other hand, waqf is an instrument of Islamic social funds that has a sustainable nature and has the relevance of waqf to the SDGs, so it has the potential to be developed in its role in fighting climate change and its impacts. This study seeks to see the waqf model that is relevant to the goals of the SDGs by determining the priority of the waqf model that can be applied in Indonesia which is in line with the objectives of SDGs 13 using ANP method. The results of the study indicate that the Waqf & Sukuk model is the right model to support the achievement of the thirteenth goal of the SDGs, namely climate change management. This study also proposes a WOFI (Waqf Owned Financial Intermediary) model framework that is suitable for this purpose.

Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources is closely related to education because education is the main effort that will be able to make human resources of high quality. Education will be successful if the condition of human resources is maintained in good health, therefore health is also an important factor to support efforts to improve the quality of human resources. Admissions must increase their knowledge and skills about medical records so that they can carry out their duties professionally and understand their role optimally. minimize duplication of medical record numbers.  The method used is health socialization and promotion by informants who have been selected according to the admissions office as the respondent.  the results obtained are the priority problems that occur in the numbering of medical record files. The problem that occurs in the numbering of medical record files is human error in employees who sometimes forget or are not careful in checking patient data in hospital applications (EHOS) which makes patient data not appear in application databases and computers which sometimes long and difficult to access when inputting medical record numbers and also patients who sometimes forget to bring their identity cards, causing missed communication to admissions officers, with fishbone diagrams and 5 whys, the root cause of the problem has been found, namely the lack of accuracy of admissions staff in inputting data, computers that are old and difficult to access as well as patients who forget to bring their identity cards which make the service long. 43 Solving the problem that must be done is to provide guidance or procedures to the admissions officer on how to check the hospital application (EHOS), strengthen human resources to be more thorough, and check repeatedly when registering a patient then if duplication has already occurred then the admissions officer must coordinate with the medical record officer to deactivate one of the medical record numbers that have not been registered for a long time and replace it with a newer one

Abstract

ABSTRACT – This study critically evaluates the effectiveness of Islamic governance on the financial performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia. Due to the absence of regulations defining optimal Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) structure and qualifications, the research explores the empirical relationship between SSB characteristics and financial performance. Using a quantitative approach, the study analyzes data from 14 Islamic banks over a seven-year period (2014-2020). Multiple regression analysis reveals that SSB size, educational background, and financial/accounting expertise have minimal impact on financial performance. Interestingly, cross-membership on SSBs is found to have a negative effect. These findings, coupled with the observation of SSBs often lacking banking and finance backgrounds, suggest a potential disconnect between Sharia governance and managerial activities. The study advocates for clear and comprehensive regulations to strengthen SSB composition and competence, ultimately promoting the sustainable development of Islamic banking in Indonesia.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Hubungan Antara Tata Kelola Syariah dan Kinerja Keuangan: Bukti dari Perbankan Syariah Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) is a microfinance institution operating under Sharia principles, integrating social welfare and commercial finance to promote poverty alleviation and economic empowerment. Despite its potential, BMTs face significant capital challenges that hinder their sustainability and impact. This study explores these challenges using a qualitative methodology with a literature review approach. Six key issues are identified: (1) limited capital from low member savings, (2) inadequate accumulation of social funds, (3) mismatch between available funds and customer needs, (4) reliance on external funding, (5) low business volume, and (6) weak integration between the social (Baitul Maal) and commercial (Baitul Tamwil) functions. These issues restrict BMTs from fully achieving their financial inclusion and social welfare objectives. To address these challenges, the study suggests optimizing low-cost funds, managing cash waqf, strengthening Baitul Maal, collaborating with zakat institutions, and integrating Islamic social finance with commercial operations. Additionally, increasing principal and mandatory savings is recommended to improve capital stability. Resolving these issues is essential for enhancing BMTs' role in poverty alleviation and ensuring their long-term sustainability and effectiveness within the Islamic finance framework.

Abstract

This paper investigates the connections between the Jacobson graph and the algebraic properties of rings through the analysis of the Jacobson graph of the ring \mathbb{Z}_{3p}, where p is a prime number greater than 3. The Jacobson graph of a commutative ring R is constructed by taking the elements of R, excluding its Jacobson Radical, as vertices, and connecting two distinct vertices if 1 minus their product is not a unit in R. The F-Index is utilized to capture and represent the structural properties of the ring through its associated graph. A detailed examination of the Jacobson Radical, maximal ideals, and vertex degrees in \mathbb{Z}_{3p} leads to the calculation of the F-Index, providing insights into the graph’s connectivity and underlying algebraic structure. This study contributes to the intersection of algebra and graph theory, offering a foundation for further research into more complex algebraic structures.

Abstract

Women's choice decision has gained lots of attention in the literature, particularly regarding how they evaluate attributes that are similarly important. The Indonesian skincare market is one of the most attractive markets, not only for local but also global producers of skincare products. This paper aims to provide an in-depth analysis of factors that affect Indonesians when they choose facial sheet masks (SM) from three countries—Indonesia, South Korea, and France—and to examine respondents' preferences with regard to local or imported SM products. This study used a mixed method, starting with exploratory research to find the levels of attribute for each alternative. A hybrid choice model is later established with Python Biogeme to find significant factors, demand elasticities, and willingness to pay. From its exploratory research, this study ascertained several attributes such as price, packaging, quality, brand, refreshing effect, halal essence, and attitudes. This study found that price, quality, refreshing effect, halal essence, and attitude significantly influence SM choice decisions from the discrete choice. The results fill a gap in the literature by comprehensively examining product properties and attitudes that affect women's decisions regarding skincare products. It also contributes—particularly for the skincare industry and marketers—to further improve the SM market share, particularly in the Indonesian and Southeast Asian markets.

Abstract

This study examines investor behavior, measured by trading volume activity (TVA) and average abnormal return (AAR), during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the pandemic's impact on four key subsectors: pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, transportation, and food and beverages. Using an event study methodology with daily stock prices and trading volume data, the results reveal varying investor reactions across subsectors. Notably, the pharmaceutical subsector showed significant differences in TVA averages and AAR changes two days before and seven days after the pandemic announcement. In contrast, the food and beverages subsector experienced no significant change in TVA, but notable AAR fluctuations over 11 days. The telecommunications subsector demonstrated significant negative AAR differences post-announcement, despite no TVA changes, while the transportation subsector experienced a negative AAR difference over 11 days with no TVA variations. This detailed sectoral analysis offers valuable insights for stakeholders seeking to understand the differential impact of COVID-19 on various industries.
