Abstract

The use of innovative media, such as Augmented Reality (AR)-based Student Worksheets (LKPD), is a solution to improve the quality of 21st-century learning, especially in addressing the limitations of conventional media in elementary schools. AR technology enables the visualization of concepts contextually and interactively, promoting student engagement and developing critical thinking skills. This study aimed to develop an AR-based LKPD for the IPAS subject on the human digestive system for Grade 5 students. It employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model at UPT SD Negeri 067250 Medan. The subjects included Grade V students, classroom teachers, and three expert validators (subject matter, design, and language). Data were collected through expert validation sheets, practical questionnaires, observation, and documentation, and were analyzed using descriptive and quantitative techniques. Product trials were conducted in two stages: a small group (9 students) and a field trial (30 students). Validation and revision ensured the quality of content, design, language, and media display. The final product was tested for practicality and effectiveness in enhancing students’ critical thinking. The integration of AR in LKPD IPAS enhanced students’ critical thinking through interactive visuals, expert validation, and positive trial results. The developed AR-based LKPD proved to be valid, practical, effective, and aligned with the Kurikulum Merdeka and the contextual digital learning needs. Abstract

LKPD circulating in schools mostly does not contain experiments, demonstrations or discussions. This research aims to produce worksheets for students as teaching materials used in the science learning process, thereby creating maximal learning activities that provide space for students to be active in thinking through inquiry-based learning activities, thus improving students' HOTS-Science Literacy. This study is development research using the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation), with the research subjects being fifth-grade students of SDN 060874 Medan. The research instruments used were validation questionnaires for expert validators and student response questionnaires regarding the practicality of the resulting product. The results obtained from the research show that the Inquiry Training-Based Science Worksheet is in the highly valid category, with percentages for three consecutive worksheets being 96 percent, 98 percent, and 97 percent based on the assessment from expert validators. The practicality test was analyzed based on student responses, with an average score of 78.7 percent, which falls into the practical category. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was concluded that the Science LKPD based on Inquiry Training was valid and practical to be used as alternative teaching material for teachers to improve the ability of HOTS-science literacy of grade V elementary school students. Abstract

This study aims to develop a deep learning-integrated flipbook for enhancing elementary students’ science learning outcomes. In this study, deep learning refers to a learning approach that promotes meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning experiences. The study was motivated by the need to transform surface-level learning into meaningful and reflective learning experiences in primary science education. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants consisted of 20 fourth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The developed flipbook integrated deep learning principles through meaningful learning activities, mindful reflection, and joyful learning experiences. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires. The research instruments were reviewed by experts to ensure their content validity and suitability for elementary science learning. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the flipbook achieved a very valid category. The practicality evaluation showed a teacher response score and a student response in excellent category or very practical. Student learning outcomes improved significantly, as indicated high category. These findings indicate that the developed flipbook is valid, practical, and effective in supporting elementary science learning. This study contributes to elementary science education by providing an innovative digital learning media that integrates deep learning through meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning experiences to enhance students’ learning outcomes.
