Abstract

The aim of this research was 1) to determine the effect of variations in post-harvest soil planting media of Leguminoceae on kale plant growth, 2) to determine the utilization of yield as learning resources in biology. This type of research is an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD). There were 4 treatments in this study, 3 treatments giving different types of planting media post-harvest leguminoceae (post-harvest peanut soil (Arachys hypogea), post-harvest long bean (Vigna sinensis) and a combination of post-harvest groundnut media (Arachys hypogea ) + post-harvest long bean (Vigna sinensis), each root is given each repetition. The parameters observed in this study were height (cm), number of leaf blades, and wet weight (grams) of spinach plants produced. Based on the results of research it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of post-harvest soil media on Leguminoceae plants on growth of water spinach plants, including plant height, number of leaves and wet weight of spinach plants, the results of research based on test analysis of the critical walles is x2hit> x2daf.Further tests showed variations in the type of planting media that had the most optimum influence on the growth of water spinach plants was the type of soil planting media after harvesting peanuts. The results of this study can be used as a source of biology learning for Class X high school monera kingdim material in the form of brochures.

Abstract

Learning media is an intermediary used for student learning tools. Students inthe learning process feel bored with the delivery of material. Submission ofmaterial that is less varied causes students to be less active so that theunderstanding of the material is not optimal. The teacher uses torso media inlearning but the learning outcomes are still less than KKM (Minimumcompleteness criteria). One way to overcome this is by developing monopolygames as biology learning media. Monopoly game is a type of board gamethat aims to accumulate wealth and control complexes on a monopoly boardgame. The teacher can modify the shape of this monopoly board game (astuti:2014). The use of instructional media appropriately and varied can overcomethe passive attitudes of students and overcome boredom during the learningprocess. Monopoly Game Development as a Biology Learning Media Materialof Digestive System Based on STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division)Method is interesting to be studied. The purpose of this research is to producea media product in the form of a decent monopoly game for learning biologyof the human digestive system. This type of research is the development of the4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Desseminat or 4 P called defining, planning, developing and disseminating. Monopoly Game Development as aBiological Learning Media for Digestive System Material using the STAD(Student Teams Achievement Division) method. Media development wasvalidated by biology lecturers and subject teachers as media design expertsand the material was subsequently tested on grade XI students. The results ofrecapitulation of expert validation and student trials showed very goodcriteria, namely: (a) Aspects of media design reached an average score of88.7% (b) Aspects of material reached an average score of 89.1% and (c)trials learners reach a score of 90.25%. This study can be concluded that theMonopoly Game as a Learning Media for Biology of the Digestive SystemMaterial Based on the STAD Method (Student Teams Achievement Division) issuitable for the learning process facilities.

Abstract

Cell or tissue dyes that have been used are synthetic dyes where the chemicals are relatively expensive and carcinogenic in nature. Alternativedyes can be used are natural dyes that have a high affinity for the componentsof cells or tissues. The aim of this study was to determine the contrast level ofmuscle tissue preparations stained using solution (Beta vulgaris L) anddetermine the concentration of solution (Beta vulgaris L) which had the besteffect on the level of muscle tissue contrast. This type of research is an experimental study with qualitativedescriptive data processing, the design uses 6 treatment variations of beetrootconcentration concentration (20%, 50%, 60%, 75%, 90%, 100%) and 2treatments as a control (without coloring and eosin coloring) with 3replications. Data obtained by direct observation using a microscope anddocumented with a camera and then conducted a review by biologists. Theparameter observed was the contrast of the color of the muscle tissuepreparation. The results showed that the contrast level of (Columna livia)skeletal muscle tissue preparations stained using solution (Beta vulgaris L) wasbest at a concentration of 60% was very clear criteria and very contrasted withthe average value obtained 2, 74. The results of this study were compiled as asource of learning biology in the form of practical instructions for class XI highschool students in the structure and function of tissue in animals with anaverage percentage worth of 86%.

Abstract

Fruit Arecha catechu L and leaf Piper betle L are plants that contain pigments that can be used as natural dyes for tissue preparations. This studyaims to determine the differences in liver tissue clarity using natural Arechacatechu L and leaf Piper betle L, determine the natural coloring solution ofArecha catechu L and Piper betle L the best for the clarity of tissuepreparations and research results can be used as a source of high schoolbiology learning in the form of practical instructions. Research conducted at the Integrated Science Laboratory of the Universitas of Muhammadiyah Metro in May 2019, the results of a photoanalysis of liver tissue preparations with natural dyes fruit Arecha catechu Lobtained percentage on criteria 1 "very clear and very contrast" (46.66%),criterion 2 "unclear and contrastless" (40%) and criterion 3 "unclear andnon-contrasting" (13.33%), while the percentage results obtained on photos ofliver tissue preparations with natural dyes of leaf solution Piper betle L incriterion 1 "very clear and very contrasting" (40%), criterion 2 "unclear andless contrasting" (40%) and criterion 3 "unclear and not contrasting" (20%).The results of this study were compiled as a source of learning biology in theform of practical instructions and validated by two expert lecturers, obtainingan average percentage of 88% with the criteria of "Very Good".

Abstract

This development research aims to produce teaching material products in the form of guided..inquiry-based e-modules integrated with character values in human digestive system materials that are suitable for use. The development of this e-module uses a 4-D model, covering four stages, namely, Define (analyze needs), Design (design e-module products), Develop (develop designed e-module products), and Disseminate (Product deployment). The instrument used is an assessment questionnaire. There are two types of questionnaires used, namely the first expert validation questionnaire with 2 assessments (material and design). Both student response questionnaires. The e-module is validated by design and material experts, both validators provide suggestions and comments to improve the e-module. Products that have been revised on the advice of design experts get an average percentage score of 95% and material experts get an average..percentage score of 91%. The e-module product was tested in Class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Metro. Getting a score of all aspects getting a percentage of 89%. The results of expert validation and student responses show that the e-module developed is "Very Appropriate". So that it can be used by students and teachers in the online and offline learning process. This development research has limitations, namely in the stage of spreading it on a small scale.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce the products in the form of guided inquiry-based biology learning modules on cell bioprocessing materials that are suitable for use as teaching materials for high school of XI grade. The development of this module uses the R&D development model according to Sugiyono, which starts from searching for potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, product revision, trial use, product revision and mass production. The results of the development of guided inquiry-based biology modules from the aspects of design and media obtained a percentage of 80%, the results of the validation of the material aspects obtained a percentage of 93%, the results of validation from the subject teachers obtained a percentage of 89%, and the results of the response of students obtained a percentage of 85 %, and concluded an average percentage value of 86% with the criteria "Very Good". So it can be concluded that the module developed is feasible to be used as one of the reference teaching materials in biology learning on the subject matter of bioprocess cells in schools.
