Abstract

Almost all universities in urban areas already use Learning Management Systems (LMS). This obligation forces lecturers to prepare material and put it into Learning Management Systems (LMS). But facts. There are 63% of lecturers who have difficulty compiling online material. The hope is that using Learning Management Systems (LMS) can improve student learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the positive impact of implementing learning in higher education assisted by Learning Management Systems (LMS). The research wants to find out the obstacles and difficulties in implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS) learning. The research method used is a survey by distributing instruments. Data collection technique, by distributing instruments to 132 people consisting of lecturers and students who were directly involved in the learning process. The analysis technique averages the instruments that have been assessed by students and lecturers. The average results are then interpreted into sentences. As a result, lecturers find obstacles and difficulties in using the learning management system in the learning process. Obstacles and difficulties lie in the implementation of material, the use of learning models, and difficulties in assessing student attitudes and skills. It was found that the material was not included in the Learning Management Systems (LMS) but still distributed different media materials so that learning was less effective. Assessment indicators are also not given to students, so students cannot measure their abilities. In conclusion, every lecturer must prepare materials, models, and assessment instruments before using Learning Management Systems (LMS) as a tool to help implement learning in higher education.

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the role of dhikr-based mindfulness in reducing test anxiety among senior high school students in Indonesia. Test anxiety has been identified as a significant psychological barrier that negatively affects students’ academic performance and emotional well-being. Drawing on the integration of Islamic spiritual practice and contemporary mindfulness techniques, this research investigates whether dhikr—repetitive remembrance of Allah—can serve as an effective intervention to regulate emotions and enhance focus during academic evaluations. Using a quasi-experimental design, senior high school students were divided into an experimental group receiving dhikr-based mindfulness training and a control group following regular study routines. Data were collected through standardized test anxiety scales and analyzed with both descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicate a significant reduction in test anxiety levels among the experimental group, suggesting that dhikr-based mindfulness fosters relaxation, spiritual awareness, and self-regulation. This research highlights the potential of combining religious practices with psychological interventions to support students’ mental health in Islamic educational settings. Furthermore, it offers implications for educators, counselors, and policymakers in designing holistic programs that integrate spirituality with evidence-based approaches to improve students’ academic resilience.

Abstract

The landscape of higher education is undergoing a profound transformation driven by the omnipresence of digital technology. This research delves into the multifaceted dimensions of digital transformation in Indonesian higher education, focusing on technological adoption, pedagogical shifts, and socioeconomic implications. Our findings, derived from a diverse group of stakeholders within the sector, illuminate a complex tableau of opportunities and challenges. The research reveals that approximately 78% of respondents affirm integrating digital tools and platforms in their academic institutions, marking a substantial technological adoption. This adoption encompasses a remarkable 65% of respondents reporting the presence of Learning Management Systems (LMS), reflecting the centrality of technology in content delivery and student engagement. Pedagogical shifts emerge as a significant theme, with 72% of respondents acknowledging changes in their teaching methods. A noteworthy 61% employ blended learning strategies, ushering in a shift from traditional lecture-based pedagogies to interactive, student-centered models. These transformations underscore the commitment to enhancing the student learning experience and fostering critical thinking. Socioeconomic implications cast a dynamic shadow, with 58% of respondents recognizing the potential of digital education to bridge socioeconomic gaps. However, concerns expressed by 42% regarding the digital divide highlight the challenges in ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities. As higher education in Indonesia continues to navigate the digital terrain, this research underscores the need for a nuanced approach that leverages technological opportunities while addressing the challenges of equitable access and pedagogical innovation.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the application of project-based learning (PjBL) in improving secondary school students' critical thinking skills based on a literature review. Critical thinking is an essential skill in 21st century education that allows students to analyze, evaluate and solve problems systematically. However, conventional learning methods are often less effective in developing these skills. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach (library research), by examining various scientific sources such as academic journals, books, conference proceedings and research reports in the last 10 years. The results of the study show that PjBL has high effectiveness in improving students' critical thinking through a process of exploration, problem solving and collaborative work. The main factors that contribute to the success of PjBL include relevant project design, active student involvement, and support from teachers and learning facilities. However, the implementation of PjBL still faces challenges, such as limited time in the curriculum, lack of teacher training, and limited resources in some schools. As a recommendation, training is needed for teachers regarding the implementation of PjBL, flexibility in the curriculum to support project-based learning, and the use of technology as a learning tool. With the right strategy, PjBL can be an effective learning method in equipping students with the critical thinking skills needed in the academic and professional world.
