Abstract This Research aims at describing the presentation of Talempong Sikatuntuang in Bararak alek anak daro and marapulai (bride and groom procession) in Subdistrict of Padang Alai of East Payakumbuh. This qualitative research used descriptive method in the research analysis. The Talempong Sikatuntuang in wedding ceremony is performed in form pageant which is played in ensemble music. The performance only presents talempong which is played in the time of anak daro and marapulai (bride and groom) and the family of his father start the parade from the bride’s house to the groom’s house. Sikatuntuang is also played in the time of both the bride and groom arrive at the groom’s house. Key word : Talempong Sikatuntuang, Pesta Perkawinan, Kualitatif.

Abstract This research was intended to describe the presentation structure of Malam Bainai a wedding ceremony in Kelurahan Kubu Dalam Parak Karakah Kecamatan Padang Timur Kota Padang. This was a qualitative research which used descriptive analysis approach. The procession of Malam Bainai consisted of three main parts including Bamandi-Mandi, Maniti Kain Kuniang, and Bainai. In bainai procession, inai was applied by bako, and the sisters of the bride’s mother, the wife of the bride’ uncle or female family coming in that procession. AbstractThis article aimed to know the education values of the Dampeang tradition on the art of Luambek in Nagari Lubuak Pandan Lareh Enam Lingkung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This study was qualitative with descriptive method. Instrument in this study was the researcher and assisted by some tools such as stationery, camera and audio recorder. Technique of data collection was done by doing observation, interviews, library research and documentation.Dampeang is the art of the vocal which has connection tightly toward the art of Luambek, every motion made by Paluambek taking the plot of Dampeang. Results of this study showed that there were number of the education values of Dampeang on the art of Luambek which could be used in daily life either individually or socially. The education values of it were value of ethics education, discipline, social studies, religious education and political education. Keywords: Education, Dampeang Tradition, Art Luambek.

This study aims to reveal and describe the form of presentation of Gandang Sarunai in the Turun Bako Traditional Ceremony in Koto Panjang Surantih District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This type of research in the form of presentation of Gandang Sarunai is qualitative with descriptive method. The research instrument in this study was the researcher himself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments and cameras. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, literature study and interviews. The steps to analyze the data are collecting data, describing the data, and concluding the data. The results showed that the form of presentation of Gandang Sarunai Koto Panjang Pesisir Selatan Regency at the time of staging the Turun Bako traditional ceremony was not much different from other regions, starting from the opening, content and closing. At the opening, Gandang Sarunai played the song to inform the community that he would be parading the children of anak daro or marapulai back home. The content in the Gandang Sarunai performance is the cast of Gandang Sarunai parading the anak daro or marapulai home, with the child of the daro or marapulai in the first row, the second row of Bako and the last row of the Gandang Sarunai players. The closing part of the Gandang Sarunai performance is the arrival of anak daro or marapulai who are paraded to their homes, here the Gandang Sarunai players continue to play the instrument, to entertain the delivery at the baralek location.

AbstractThis study aimed to reveal and explain the appreciation of Jorong and Nagari Community of Sundata, Lubuk Sikaping District, Pasaman Regency towards the existence of Rupano art. Data were obtained through direct observation, interview, literature study, and documentation. The data were analyzed based on phenomenon that happened to the existence of rupano art and society appreciation to the art by using Miles and Huberman model.The results show that the public appreciation on rupano art is lack, so even though this art is performed, people are not interested anymore to wacth it. The level of public appretiation of rupano art is ound very low. Society does not recognize and understand the details or specifics and aesthetis o the rupano art. Therefore people have not appreciated the art of rupano well. In addition, the community also has no sense of responsibility and sense of belonging to the arts. This because the general public has been bored o watching the rupano art for the reasons of rupano art is not impressing it has no development althogether.

The purpose of this study Aguang Jana art is to discover and describe the musical art form of presentation Aguang Jana ox racing event in the River District Jorong Guguak Baruah Tarab Tanah Datar. Shaped research used qualitative descriptive method, the object of research is: Music Performance Aguang Jana In no event Pacu Jawi in Jorong Guguak Baruah Tarab River District Tanah Datar, data collection is done by event observation, interviews, and photo shoot perekamam. Data processing is performed a qualitative analysis. Aguang Jana is a kind of percussion instruments, arts Aguang Jana is a unique art and highly respected community supporters. Plus Aguang Jana has become an essential part in the event at Nagari. This study aims to identify and explain the Music Performance Aguang Jana In no event Pacu Jawi in Jorong Guguak Baruah which includes players / actors, used musical instruments, songs presented in Aguang Jana, time and venue, costume, art Aguang Jana in procession Jawi runway parade and community supporters. This study aims to determine and describe the Performance Structure of Kuda Lumping in Kampung Lapai Village, Nanggalo District, Padang.This research belongs to a qualitative research. The research instruments used were the researcher it self, writing tools, and cellphone cameras. The object of this research was Kuda Lumping Brandon in Kampung Lapai Village, Nanggalo District, Padang.The results show that Kuda Lumping has a performance structure which cannot be removed or reversed from beginning to end. In the performance process, there must be several important people or instruments such as a handler, offerings, players, and other instruments such as musical instruments, properties, and a team which can help the handler in the process of Kuda Lumping show. Judging from the results of observations regarding the structure of the show, Kuda Lumping Brandon has a clear performance structure. It contains elements which are mutually related one to another. For instance, in term musical elements, if ini the lumping horse show there is no music, it will affect the dancer, this also related to the existence of a trance scene because each musical stroke will affect the movements of the dancer whose musical trance plays an important role in every lumping horse show without music, it will not have a beautiful aesthetic value.

This research was a descriptive study, using a qualitative method approach. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself and assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery, cameras and tape recorders. Data collection techniques were carried out by official data, observation, interviews and documentation. The steps data analysis were data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the research showed that, in the practicing process of talempong creation at Saandiko Studio, the trainer was very good at providing the Implementation of Talempong Creation Playing Skills at Saandiko Studio. It also proved that the trainer succeeded in providing training to studio members by using several methods, namely by applying the lecture, demonstration and drill method, so the trainer's aim to develop the skills of the studio members produced excellent talent in playing talempong creation
