Abstract

This article aims to describe the form of presentation talempong duduak event in the village bagarak Ampalu, District Lareh Sago Halaban, Regency  Lima Puluh Kota. This type of research is qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected by library research techniques, observation, interviews and documentationTalempong duduak Ampalu village named talempong malayu nan panjang by Art community consists of 6 pieces talempong tone, oguang and gondang .. As for the songs played that pararakan, gang loban timbang baju  Muaro paneh and more varied in its presentation such as rhythm, melody and poetry. Talempong duduak Ampalu village is a traditional music ensemble in which an exchange of position players, the addition and subtraction of players every exchange songs. Songs Muaro paneh presented strophic but at certain moments of melodic chant connect talempong. Songs pararakan and gang loban timbang baju  presented with interlocking technique with the pattern of the game each bar is the same and repetitive.

Abstract

Abstract Talempong Gandang Lasuang is a traditional art in Nagari Sikapak Timur, Kota Pariaman. It is used as an entertainment in cooking activities in the kitchen to prepare for the Baralek (wedding ceremony). Nowadays, Talempong Gandang Lasuang art is no longer played in the kitchen, but it has become an art performance. In line, there are several changes in the presentation of Talempong Gandang Lasuang. These changes are seen from several aspects, including changes in the place of performance, instrument changes, and changes in musical form. This article was prepared based on the Thesis titled "Descriptive Study of the Performances of Talempong Gandang Lasuang in Nagari Sikapak Timur Kota Pariaman". The study was carried out using qualitative methods. Data was collected through literature study, observation, interviews and recording. Talempong Gandang Lasuang art experience changes in the place of performance which was originally performed in the kitchen.  Now, it has been performed on the show stage. Besides that, there was also an additional in the number of instruments consisting of Gandang Tambua and Talempong Gandang Lasuang. The addition of these instruments does not affect the musical form of both the melody and rhythm in Talempong Gandang Lasuang art songs. Keywords: Talempong Gandang Lasuang, Performance, Change.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of thisd research is examine the perception of the society towards the evening keyboard show (organ tunggal) held at a wedding party. This research was a descriptive qualitative one. The data were collected through  an observasion, interviews, a library based research, photographs, and reconrdings. The result of this research showed that the society in general had a positive perception towards the show including the keyboardist and the party hlder. Tha show is regarded as free and fun entertainment which provides a place for the  youth to garher and a side job for the keyboardist or the singer to do however. Negative perception towards the show was raised among people enganged in religious parties and the society figures. For them, the evening keyboard show is not a goog deed to watch, it is an evil thing indeed. Kata kunci : persepsi, masyarakat, organ tunggal, pernikahan

Abstract

Abstract This article explained about the existence of Kuda Lumping art in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang Kenagarian Tanjung Gadang Kecamatan Lareh Sago Halaban. The existence of Kuda Lumping art could be seen from the people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang who were closely related to Kuda Lumping art especially in the great days celebrations such as in Idul Fitri. For people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang, Kuda Lumping art had been deeply rooted and had become their need. Kuda Lumping art told people about a knight riding a horse who was a hero in Javanese Kingdom, and nowadays he was still memorized by Minangkabau people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang. This art was still performed in Idul Fitri celebration every year. Furthermore, the existence of Kuda Lumping art could be seen from its functions in society such as for entertaining, integrating the society and for aesthetics presentation. Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed at investigating and describing Gebane in a wedding ceremony. This research was a qualitative one. The findings have explained Gebane as a music art which uses Gebane as a membranophone music instrument to assisst songs of which lyrics found in Bezanggi (Al-Barzanji). Gebane in a wedding ceremony in Kampung Pulau is a kind of music ansambel in Berandam, Khatam Quran, Cecah Inai, Hari Langsung (to carry the brides and grooms to their houses). The songs lyrics are Ushalli and Annal. The elements which are related one another in the form of an art show include the instrument players, costumes, music instruments, time, place, and the audience. Abstract

The use of strategic and well-planned feedback in the assessment process is key to promoting learning. This article  evaluates the role of the two-stage test process in guiding and assisting the learning of students in the second year of teaching materials at sendratasik Education Program, FBS Padang State University. After being given oral and written feedback without grades from the first test, students  were  given the opportunity to write different tests, the second test, and each was asked to choose which one was assessed. Students  are generally very positive about the assessment process, most participate voluntarily and fully, learn a lot differently for the second test, and there is evidence of meta-cognitive awareness and understanding. Nevertheless, some students have  difficulty and frustration in assessing the quality of their work. Discussions focus on learning processes and issues, on the usefulness of feedback and on formative test assessment procedures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang penulisan notasi musik menggunakan software sibelius yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah artistik “Art Practice Based Research” dengan metode deskripsi analitis dan beberapa pelatihan kepada guru Seni Budaya di Kabupaten Solok menggunakan modul yang telah dibuat dan dipelajari kurang lebih tiga pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan software sibelius sangat efektif untuk menuliskan notasi musik dan mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa aransemen lagu sederhana dalam format ansambel alat musik sekolah seperti pianika, rekorder, perkusi, dan sebagainya.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the comparison of policies between Indonesia and Malaysia. his comparison is needed to develop Indonesian education policies so that the quality of Indonesian education policies in the future will be better. Research methodology: The research method uses a literature study because it compares education policies. Especially character education between Indonesia and Malaysia. Results: The results showed that Indonesia’s education policies were still categorized as low because it was based on the four components being compared, namely character education goals, character education strategies, education structures, and education management. Limitations: This study focuses on four components of education policy, particularly character education. There are other parts that can be discussed by further research, namely other parts of Education policy, and can also be compared with other countries. Contribution: This research can be a consideration for Indonesian policyholders, especially the aspect of character education because it can improve the quality of Indonesian education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use and analysis of the function of Talempong Uggan Music at the Baralek Event in Nagari Uggan, Sumpur Kudus District, Sijunjung Regency. This type of research is a qualitative research using descriptive analysis method. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and camera. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of library research, observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, describing data, and concluding data. The results showed that the use of Talempong Uggan Music in a series of Baralek Events in Nagari Uggan was at the bararak from Bako's house to the main house, where the bride and groom and their entourage were paraded using Talempong to the bride's residence. Furthermore, at the Basalawat event at night, the aim is to escort the groom along with Niniak mamak and his entourage using Talempong to the bride's house. At the Manyombah Mintuo event, the bride is paraded to the groom's house, then Baarak Iriang is performed from the bride's house from the groom's house to the accompaniment of Talempong unggan as an accompaniment for the entire series of baralek events. The function of Talempong Unggan music in Nagari Unggan is as a function of expression, a function of aesthetic enjoyment, an entertainment function, a communication function, and an economic resource function for musicians.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Gandang Sarunai music inheritance system in the community of Nagari Luak Kapau, Alam Pauh Duo, Solok Selatan Regency. This research is qualitative research which aims to get things related to the topic. The data related to the topic were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation technique.The results show that the Gandang Sarunai music inheritance system in Nagari Luak Kapau was inherited by using an open system. This inheritance is done in colleges or studios. The heirs must be the ones who have desire, talent, and interest to learn the music of Gandang Sarunai. This open inheritance system in Nagari Luak Kapau also uses several requirements so that the heirs are able to learn and inherit traditional music from the Gandang Sarunai. In addition, the Inheritance System of traditional music gandang sarunai in Nagari Luak Kapau, Pauh Duo district, Solok Selatan Regency, was inherited through enculturation. It is where humans are considered as beings that have logical reasoning, have the power of reflection and intelligence, as well as learn to understand and adapt the mindset, knowledge, and culture of another group of humans.
