Abstract

This research aims to reveal the form of the art presentation of Singa Depok in circumcision event in the village of Lingga Kuamang. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive methods. The main instrument in this research was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. The data were collected through library study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by collecting the data, classifying the data, describing the data, and making conclusion. The results show that Singa Depok art is still performed as an entertainment in the circumcision event in the village of Lingga Kuamang, and Singa Depok show is not obliged to West Java or Sundanese people. As the time changes,  Singa Depok has undergone changes in term of the songs played, lion Dolls used as the instrument, and players. Although the inhabitants in the village of Lingga Kuamang are diverse in tribes, it does not make this art disappear. It is due to the fact that the change of the song performed can still be enjoyed by the people watching it. In addition, Singa Depok art has its own characteristic. Thus, Singa Depok art is as an entertainment for the mind of circumcised children.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to describe the structure and pattern of the Talempong Botuang rhythm. In this research, the structure and rhythmic patterns in the Talempong Botuang art forms would be known, such as Mudiak Arau, Talago Biru, and Kelok Sambilan. This article was compiled based on the undergraduate thesis “The Analysis of Talempong Botuang Art Rhythm Structure and Pattern in Kenagarian VII Koto Talago, Guguak Subdistrict, Lima Puluh Kota Regency”.. This study was classified as qualitative research using descriptive analysis approach. The object of research was Talempong Botuang in kenagarian VII koto Talago Guguak Subdistrict, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The instruments in this study were the researcher himself and stationery, audio, video, camera. Data collection techniques used in this study included observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. Data in this study were obtained by conducting direct observations, interviews, and exercises. The results showed that Talempong Botuang arts basically had the same music structure. Thus, Dendang Mudiak Arau, Talago Biru, and Kelok Sambilan in Talempong Botuang art had similarities in performance patterns, and the rhythm pattern used was not 1/16 so that the art Talempong Botuang had a rapid performance. Keywords: Structure, Pattern, Rhythm

Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed at describing the form of Kompang art performed at a wedding ceremony in Muara Jangga. This research was a qualitative one with data collected through a literary studi, observation, interviews, documentations, recordings and photographs. The data analysis was classified into two that were primary data and secondary data which were designed systematically. The result of the research has shown that Kompang was performed in the form of Islamic songs assisted by Kompang music instruments. The song lyrics were taken from Nadzom (Al-barzanji). Kompang performed at the wedding ceremony was a kind of music ensamble played by men which escorts the bride and groom parade to the place where the wedding party would be held.   Kata Kunci: Bentuk Penyajian, Kompang, Pesta Perkawinan, Prosesi Arak-arakan , Muara Jangga

Abstract

This article aimed to describe the preservation of the art by Manggih Mudo Group in Manggis Ganting Sub-District, Mandiangin District / Koto Selayan, Bukittinggi which is still used and exists in Bukittinggi. This was a qualitative research which used descriptive method. The data collection was done by doing observation, interview, and literature study. The object of this research was Randai that was in Manggih Mudo Group, Manggis Ganting Sub-district, Bukittinggi. The results of this research showed that Manggih Mudo Group performed the preservation of Randai by inviting the government to participate in the preservation of Randai in Manggis Gantiang Sub-district. The city government provided financial support to Manggih Mudo Group as a contribution to the preservation of Randai. The government also involved Manggih Mudo Group in the events or the activities held by the government. For example, in 2015, the government invited the Manggih Mudo Group in the art exhibition held in RRI building. Then Manggih Mudo Group was also invited in Semarak Lima event held at the Jam Gadang festival. Manggih Mudo Group also performed the preservation by inheriting Randai to younger generations; it provided routine exercises done around the Mr. Yazirwan’s house, which aimed to introduce Randai to the younger generations. Maintaining the existence of Manggih Mudo Group was also an effort to preserve Randai. Randai was actively performed either in Manggis Ganting Sub-district or outside Manggis Ganting Sub-district. Abstract

AbstractThis research was initiated by the implementation of music art learning based on syllabus of curriculum 2013, in the ensemble music lesson it was found that teacher still use conventional methods of teaching. The role of teacher is not demonstration samples to student is not correct, teachers also have not untilized the media to proride teaching materials to students. This has an impact on the value of students who are still less good is 60% of students get grades under the KKM and also 40% of students get a fitting value on KKM. The purpose of this research is to describe what  elements and effects of audio visual media on learning to play ensemble music.The type of this research is descriptive by using qualitative approach, the object of this research is a students of 8th grade of SMP N 5 Pariaman. In this case reseaechers suggest to teachers to use audio visual media in conveying the material that will be taught to students is learning to play ensemble music.Bused on this research, the following results are obtained: first, the elements of audio visual media itself, form; a. its easy to move; b. can be replayed or overheard and viewed again and again; c. make students really understand the conten of the subject matter with more indepth analysis and make students think more specific about the subject matter; d. can overcomethe limited experience possessed by learnes; e. can stimulate active participation of hearing students, and can develop imagination such as writing, drawing and etc; f. audio visual media allows for  interaction between learness and the surrounding environment; and g. increase the attractiveness and attention of students. The second results, there was a change of attitude toward students in learning, what is shown through student behavior becomes more serious, passionate about learning, and the student score rose to 60% of the students were in the KKM and 40% of the students were above the KKM.Key Words: Media, Audio visual, Learning

Abstract

This article to describe Randai using methods Cooperative learning in class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Batusangkar. Randai learning is one of the lessons in the school of art and culture that can be used by various methods, one of which with methods Cooperative.This type of research is qualitative descriptive method. The object of this research is the students of class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Batusangkar conducting Randai learning to study for 4 meetings. The research instrument is the researchers themselves assisted by other supporting facilities such as a camera. Based on the results of this research is that learning Cooperative Randai method in class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Batusangkar can increase students' activity during the learning process, then can improve student learning outcomes it is seen from the prior use of cooperative methods only 14 or 42.42% of students which reached a value above KKM after using the methods of cooperative learning outcomes of students increased to 27 or 81.81% of the students scored above the KKM as well as with the appearance or performance randai students. The impact of the application of cooperative methods to the students is that students are more motivated, responsive, and a pleasure to follow the lessons.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to describe the presence of the arts in people's lives Husks Squirrels in Nagari Koto Hilalang. This  research includes the category of qualitative erese archprovides a picture of squirrelart Husks that are in Nagari Koto Hilalang Solok. Techniques of data collection is library research, observation, interviews and photo shoots. Results of this study found that the presence of art in people's lives Husks Squirrels in Nagari Koto Hilalang Lemur Solok district was recognized by all members of society who are in Nagari Koto Hilalang, it is characterized by some residents who still want art Husks squirrel comes back. Squirrels Husks art has its own uniqueness, which is to involve the audience in a way clapped together while shouting ca-ca-ka-ceh, ca-ca-ka-ceh, ca-ca-ka-ceh, ceh simultaneous ca-,which was followed by amotion of the dancers sang the following lyrics were sung. Musical instruments used in the form saluang darek, talempong Pacik, gandang, and giriang-giriang. Costumes are worn, clothes guntiang cino, sarawa predicted, songket, and girder deta kabaha bird whose head is shaped head. Theart will be on show at the plan again at the up coming August 17,2013. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of analysis of examination questions by the cultural arts teachers at Class X of Accounting Department in SMK Negeri 2 Pariaman. This type of study was qualitative research with using descriptive analysis method. The instrument of the study was the researcher and it was assisted by interview note, observation note, and documentation files. The researcher was involved in the research as a participant observer. The types of data were primary and secondary with qualitative data analysis techniques that described the problem. The result of this study indicates that the analysis of examination questions of cultural art (music) done by the teachers of SMK Negeri 2 Pariaman, which have been tested on the final exam in odd semester 2018/2019, shows the results of the existence of categories of questions that are easy, medium and difficult, based on the results of examination of students correct answers which have been recapitulated and summarized. there are six items whose material are not related to the subject, the description of questions are too broad and the questions that the teachers have never been explained in the Indonesian traditional music insight material, then the questions can be removed, replaced or corrected. Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to show the cause of the appearance two versions of art Rentak Kudo for wedding celebration in Rawang village. Method of research is qualitative. The collecting data : 1) Literature study 2) Observation 3) interview 4) Documentation 5) Photography. The analysis of data classified by using Primer Data and Sekunder Data, after separated then arranged sistematically. The result of research got that there are two versions of Rentak Kudo because the change os sense of community between each of Rentak Kudo versions have their own supporter. Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ interest inmusical art learning and what factors that influence students' interest in musical art learning in SMA Negeri 1 Sumatra Barat.This type of studywas a qualitative with using a descriptive approach. The main instrument in this study was the researcher. It was assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and camera. Techniques of Data collection were carried out by taking literature study, observation and interview. The analysis process was startedby analyzing data and seleceting selectively, then the data were displayed in a descriptive form.The result shows that the lack of students’ interest occur inmusical art learning in SMAN Sumatra Barat. The cultural art teacher in the learning process does not understand the learning material and the teaching method is not variative. The Factors that influence students' interest in learning at SMAN 1Sumatra Barat in the subject of musical art are internal and external factors.
