Abstract

Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mengungkap Rekam Jejak Estetika Sufi Dalam Konsep Seni Pertunjukan Salawaik Dulang Di Minangkabau. Rekam jejak (track record) adalah semua hal yang dilakukan seseorang pada di masa lalu dan dapat di jadikan teladan sampai sekarang. Semua hal dalam konteks ini bersentuhan dengan estetika sufi dan hubungannya dengan seni pertunjukan Salawaik Dulang. Dalam tradisi sufi, estetika lebih jauh dikaitkan dengan metafisika dan jalan kerohanian – spirutulitas – yang ditempuh melalui metode tasauf. Spiritualitas adalah hidup dengan kesadaran bahwa Tuhan senantiasa di dekat kita. Kesadaran itu menumbuhkan dorongan bagi seluruh tindakan manusia; termasuk dalam dunia seni pertunjukan – salawaik dulang. Secara musikal, dulang sebagai media pengantur tempo, ritme dan sekaligus berfungsi sebagai musiknya. Pendendangan syair yang diiringi oleh tabuhan dulang tersebut dilakukan dua kelompok (grup) salawat dulang; keduanya bertarung secara estetik dalam pertunjukan salawaik dulang. Metode kualitatif yang didasari pengamatan terlibat digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian melalui: penyelidikan (observasi), wawancara, dokumentasi, dan analisis data. Hasil; Rangkaian syair dinarasikan tukang salawaik dulang; mulai dari kotbah sampai lagu cancan merepresentasikan ajaran tarekat, karena bersifat filosofis; Pertunjukan salawat dulang telah menjadi salah satu bentuk ekspresi yang merepresentasikan ajaran tasauf bagi penganut ajaran tarekat Syatariyah di Minangkabau.Kata Kunci: Kerajinan Eceng Gondok, Karakteristik, Konsep Pengembangan, Diversifikasi, Inovasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of cultural arts learning with the material of Traditional Musical Instrument Playing Techniques at SMP Negeri 23 Kerinci. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and literature studies. The steps of analyzing the data, Describing, and Inferring. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of cultural arts learning with the material of Traditional Musical Instrument Playing Techniques at SMP NEGERI 23 Kerinci has not gone well. This is due to: (1) Teachers do not have angklung musical instruments which are being used as material for cultural arts subjects. This makes teachers take shortcuts by using a keyboard (orgen) instead of the traditional angklung musical instrument. (2) Some students still practice playing traditional musical instruments that are not in accordance with the indicators or in other words carelessly when playing traditional musical instruments. The results of the evaluation of learning techniques for playing traditional musical instruments, the highest score is 90 and the lowest value is 75.

Abstract

The type of research conducted is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The types of data used in this study are in the form of primary data and secondary data, and make the researcher the main instrument of research assisted by supporting instruments such as; stationery, photo camera and digital camera. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The steps in analyzing the data are done by reducing the data, presenting the data, drawing conclusions and verifying the data. The results showed that the effort to inherit the art of Calempong Oguang Sialang was an open system involving the government participating in maintaining and teaching it to the younger generation. The stages of teaching carried out include; 1) the implementation of prayer; 2) introduction to the tools used; 3) song introduction; 4) the appearance of Calempong Oguang Sialang by the eldest, and; 5) Individuals are taught one by one different musical instruments. The efforts that have been made have been welcomed by the whole community. Because according to them Calempong Oguang Sialang must be preserved so that it doesn't become extinct and just abandoned.

Abstract

This study aims to know and describe the learning of traditional music (Pupuik Sarunai) of grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Hiliran Gumanti. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data in this study used primary data and secondary data. This research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques include observation, literature study, interview and documentation study. The steps of analyzing data are data collection, data reduction, data display, verification and affirmation of conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of learning activities that were not in accordance with the module had an impact on the assessment of the learning outcomes of these students. From the evaluation of learning conducted by teachers, it was found that there were still many students who had not reached the KKM score, which was as many as 6 people, participants who got the KKM pass score of 16 people, and for students whose scores passed KKM only 9 people. In order to achieve the goals and learning outcomes, teachers must pay attention to teaching modules that have been designed and can be applied to the implementation of the learning process regarding the sarunai pupuik musical instrument.

Abstract

Education is one sector that plays an important role in building the nation and forming a complete human being. The impact of the pandemic condition makes the learning process at all levels of school to college feel very less enthusiastic. This is because the teaching and learning process which was initially carried out directly / face to face shifted to the learning and teaching process which was carried out through platforms that were integrated into internet-based networks (e-learning). The purpose of this study was to find and design a learning strategy for the Minangkabau Traditional Music Practice Course, FBS UNP Sendratasik Department. From the situation and conditions seen through the GAP analysis, several techniques/procedures must be passed so that the learning objectives can be achieved. The research method was carried out through several stages, including; 1) observation, 2) design of learning devices, 3) implementation of learning, and 4) tests, evaluations and revisions. This research is proven through stages; 1) learn the basic principles of the technology under study, 2) use the formulation of technology concepts; and 3) proof-of-concept of important functions and/or characteristics analytically and experimentally regarding learning strategies for Minangkabau Traditional Music Practice to achieve student competence.

Abstract

Traditional music as an integral part of a society's cultural wealth has aesthetic value and plays a role in deepening cultural identity. However, in the era of globalization and modernization, traditional music is often threatened by changes in values and lifestyles that dominate from outside the culture. This article explores the influence of local cultural values on the traditional music education process in the Sendratasik Department. The main challenge is maintaining the existence of traditional music amidst the ever-changing interests of the younger generation. The research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and direct observation, this research aims to understand the extent to which local cultural values influence students' attitudes, interests, and participation in learning traditional music. The research results show that curriculum implementation through face-to-face lectures, online learning, lecturer collaboration, and integration of educational technology are effective strategies for maintaining the existence of traditional music. Analysis of the impact of globalization shows that traditional music needs to adapt to contemporary trends to remain relevant. Traditional music education also plays a role in developing student character, such as creativity, communication skills, empathy, pedagogical skills, discipline, collaboration, understanding of cultural diversity, understanding of technology, self-development, spirit of inclusivity, as well as creation and performance. This research is expected to contribute to the development of learning strategies and curricula that focus on maintaining and developing traditional music as an inseparable part of cultural heritage that is alive and relevant in today's society.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the teaching and learning process of Cultural Arts at SMP N 3 Lengayang, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The method was qualitative research to describe the quality of the teaching and learning process descriptively. The subjects of this study were students of SMP Negeri 3 Lengayan, where one of the focuses was on class VII.I. Data analysis techniques utilizing observation, interviews and literature study. Once obtained, the data is then described in the research results. The results of this study were obtained during the observation and teaching and learning process employing direct interpretation with students. In the Lesson Plan, the material to be studied is about the art of Similar and Mixed Ensemble music. During the teaching and learning process, the teacher asked the students to have group discussions about the learning material. Students conduct discussions well about the learning material. However, students cannot fully understand because of the lack of learning media at the school.

Abstract

This article discusses the continuity and change of gandang sarunai music performances in socio-cultural activities of the Alam Surambi Sungai Pagu community, South Solok, West Sumatra. The data were derived from the results of research compiled based on qualitative methods, utilizing literature study techniques, observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that there has been a change in the performance of gandang sarunai music both in terms of venue and in terms of musical aspects of gandang sarunai nowadays. While the continuity of music is maintained, even when compared to the performances of gandang sarunai music during the time of Raja Alam of Surambi Sungai Pagu led the region administratively; gandang sarunai music has been used by all levels of society in their various socio-cultural activities nowadays. In the past, gandang sarunai music was only shown by and for the King's family. Nowadays, gandang sarunai music is used not only in the royal family's environment. Most people have also used gandang sarunai music in their various socio-cultural activities.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in learning cultural arts (dance) using the talking stick method at SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Geringging. The type of research used is classroom action research which is classified as qualitative research. This research is carried out in two cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of this study are observation sheets, cognitive tests, and documentation. Data analysis using percentage formulas. The results showed that the application of using the talking stick method can improve student learning outcomes in cultural arts learning. This can be seen from student activities in the learning process and the average score of written tests from cycle I to cycle II. In the first cycle of the 1st meeting, the average score of student activity of 1.28% was categorized as poor, while the 2nd meeting was 3.14% categorized as good. In the second cycle, the average score of student activity of 3.42% was categorized as very good. In the first cycle, the average score of completeness of students obtained was 45%, while those who had not achieved completeness percentage of 55%. In the second cycle of student learning outcomes obtained an average score of completeness percentage of 85%, while those who have not achieved completeness percentage of 15%. Thus, the results of this study show that the application of the talking stick method can improve student learning outcomes in cultural arts learning.
