Abstract

This research is motivated by the dominance of digital campaigns in the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election and the need to understand how the construction of candidate images through personal branding and visual strategies affects the behavior of young voters. This study analyzes Prabowo-Gibran's political marketing strategy through four main elements: image transformation through personal digital branding "gemoy", the use of TikTok as a medium for visual and emotional campaigns, the strategy of segmenting Generation Z and millennial voters, and the integration of media and non-media strategies to expand political reach. The methods used include literature studies and content analysis of social media uploads, short videos, slogans, and netizens' interactions. The results showed that "gemoy" branding reproduced through visual symbols, humor, and aesthetics of popular culture effectively built psychological closeness with young voters. TikTok serves as an arena for spreading messages based on virality, fast rhythm, and algorithmic engagement that strengthens Prabowo's framing as a light and familiar figure. Face-to-face campaigns and social programs are reproduced as digital content thus expanding the resonance of the message. These findings confirm that the success of the Prabowo–Gibran campaign was driven by a hybrid campaign model that combines digital and non-digital strategies in shaping the preferences of young voters. This research contributes to the study of political marketing by demonstrating the role of personal, emotional branding and algorithmic logic, and recommending the optimization of hybrid campaign strategies for upcoming elections.

Abstract

Indonesia continues to strive to ensure that the law implemented for its citizens is rooted in the values that live and develop within society. If applied, this legal entity will make the community feel comfortable and familiar with its legal model. Restorative justice is a resolution for criminal cases that involves the offender, the victim, the families of both parties, and other related parties to collectively seek a fair solution, emphasizing restoration to the original state rather than retribution. Law No. 11 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Law No. 16 of 2004 regarding the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia states that one of the authorities of the Attorney General is to dismiss cases in the interest of the public. The Attorney General has found many inconsistencies in the existing criminal justice system; therefore, in this context, "public interest" refers to the interests of the nation and state and/or the interests of the broader community. This research was conducted using a normative juridical research method, with data collection carried out through literature studies. The research specification used is descriptive qualitative. This study aims to examine how restorative justice applies to minor criminal offenders, such as theft, at the prosecutorial level, and how restorative justice is implemented for minor criminal offenders in theft cases at the Pangkalpinang District Attorney's Office, particularly in the case of the termination of prosecution through the Decree of Termination of Prosecution by the Pangkalpinang District Attorney No. 01/L.9.10.3/Eoh.2/01/2022 dated January 13, 2022.

It is the duty of the government to ensure the safety and order of the citizenry. Order and security are vital elements that shape a society that is psychologically healthy and prepared for global competition. This is because environmental factors strongly influence individual character. The Indonesian criminal justice system must be adequately enforced to realize this ideal. Nevertheless, there are occasions when the effectiveness of law enforcement is uncertain, resulting in a state of unrest among the public and the persistence of criminal activity. This study was therefore undertaken to ascertain the impact of implementing criminal legislation on enhancing community security and order. The methodology employed comprised a descriptive qualitative approach utilising interviews, observations and the distribution of questionnaires via the online platform Google forms. The findings indicated that the enforcement of criminal law has a constructive influence on the advancement of community security and order.

Abstract

Rehabilitation for narcotics abusers is a recovery method that needs to be carried out by prisoners who are categorized as addicts and victims of narcotics abuse. Rehabilitation is part of the use of utilitarian principles. The purpose of this research is to analyze the urgency of implementing rehabilitation for drug addicts and to analyze the rehabilitation of narcotics addicts in the utilitarian paradigm. This research is a type of normative juridical research to examine the urgency of implementing rehabilitation for narcotics addicts in a utilitarian paradigm. Even though articles regarding the implementation of rehabilitation have been regulated, enforcement of the law remains rare, creating the impression of selective logging in its implementation. Therefore, it is essential to scrutinize whether the implementation of rehabilitation for narcotics users aligns with the provisions of the Narcotics Law and the norms outlined in the relevant articles. The benefits that people with drug addiction get from rehabilitation are in the form of detoxification and social rehabilitation, which are designed to facilitate the user's reintegration into regular life, along with the following stages of treatment. Thus, regarding the benefits for the Indonesian state, providing rehabilitation for narcotics addicts is believed to be able to reduce the number of narcotics trafficking itself.

Abstract

Terrorism is a serious threat to the security and unity of the Indonesian nation. Events such as the suicide bombing at the Medan Police Headquarters in 2019 show that acts of terror are increasingly complex and require swift and appropriate handling. For this reason, the government passed Law Number 5 of 2018 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism as a legal basis that strengthens the authority of the apparatus, including the Gegana Detachment of the Indonesian National Police Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob), in carrying out counter-terrorism operations. This study aims to determine and analyze how the implementation of Law No. 5 of 2018 is carried out by the Gegana Detachment in the North Sumatra Regional Police area, identify obstacles faced in operations, and formulate strategies to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of the law. The results of the study show that the implementation of this law has been implemented through preventive, preemptive, and repressive approaches, such as sterilization of places of worship, social activities "Love Sunday", security patrols, and anti-terror training simulations. However, implementation in the field still faces various obstacles, including limited modern equipment, lack of cross-agency coordination, and low public participation. Therefore, personnel capacity building, infrastructure modernization, and strengthening inter-agency synergy are needed to achieve more effective counterterrorism efforts in North Sumatra.
