Abstract

For adolescents, the need to interact is very important amidst the development of smartphone use for social, emotional, and psychological development has an influence on prioritizing and valuing direct social interaction. This study aims to determine the effect of phubbing behavior on social interaction in adolescents at SMP Negeri 74 Jakarta. The study was conducted using an associative quantitative research method with a data collection method using a questionnaire. The location of the study was at SMP Negeri 74 Jakarta and took place from May 2024 - June 2024. The respondents in this study were 150 adolescents who met the specified criteria. The data collection technique in this study used a nonprobability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach, where the sample was used if it met the following criteria: adolescents aged 12-16 years calculated from the age of the study period before May 2024 and Have a smartphone and actively use a smartphone. This study used the Social Interaction Skills (SIS) instrument by Lamash et al., (2023) and had a reliability coefficient of 0.890 for social interaction and the Generic Scale of Phubbing (GSP) Chotpitayasunondh & Douglas, (2018) reliability coefficient of 0.769 for phubbing behavior. The data analysis technique used was a significant regression test, which produced a Fhit value (b / a) = 16.782 and a Sig. value of 0.000 <0.05. The results showed that phubbing behavior had an effect on social interaction in adolescents at SMP Negeri 74 Jakarta. Furthermore, the results of the determination coefficient were 0.102, so that the contribution of phubbing behavior to social interaction was 10.2%. Adolescents who have high phubbing behavior will have low social interaction. The results of this study are to raise awareness of the negative impacts of phubbing on social interactions, especially schools, providing counseling services to students who are identified as being dependent on digital devices or who show signs of difficulty in social interactions. Counselors can help students develop social skills.

Abstract

The Kacintaan Program (Kampung Cinta Lingkungan) is an Environmental-themed Integrative Stimulation Education Program for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Teachers and Family Welfare Empowerment Cadres (PKK). This activity also aims to improve the skills of families and Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in utilizing used goods into useful products. As well as, improving the skills of families and early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in utilizing used goods as an integrative stimulation medium for early childhood. The method in this program is PAR (Participatory Action Research). Program participants involved 27 PAUD teachers and PKK cadres at RPTRA Jaka Berseri, Jatidera Kaum. This program was carried out on August 9-10, 2022. The results of the implementation of this activity program showed that all participants could know and had applied the three morals, it could be seen that participants in these activities had instilled and taught the value of environmental love in the scope of Jatinegara Kaum based on indicators of the character of love. This environment and activity is very beneficial for PKK Cadres and PAUD teachers within the scope of RPTRA Jaka Berseri, Jatinegara Kaum, East Jakarta

Abstract

At the start of offline learning, there are still students who are carried away by the atmosphere of online learning and there is a decrease in the character of some students when learning online so the role of the teacher is needed to foster and develop the character of the students. This study aims to find out the strategies used by teachers in instilling JUARA character values in grade 8 students. This research was conducted from July to August 2022 at SMPN 252 Jakarta. The results of this study are: 1) in instilling honest character, the teacher uses an assessment rubric strategy (especially for English lessons), integrity pacts, personal correction, giving assignments, role models/examples, advice/appeals, 2) in instilling tenacious character, the teacher uses strategies by providing trust, examples/examples, group work, rote assignments (specifically Islamic religious lessons) and involving students in various activities, 3) in instilling a trustworthy character, teachers use strategies by giving responsibility, role models/examples, and appeals, 4) in instilling religious character, the teacher uses the tadarus Al-Quran strategy together, morning services (non-Muslims), holding congregational and dhuha prayers, getting used to praying before studying and going home, and holding events on religious holidays, and 5) in instilling active character , the teacher uses strategies by requiring mandatory and optional extracurriculars, Wednesday performance activities, group discussions, class pickets, healthy Friday activities, examples/examples, advice and the question and answer method.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the boundaries opened by using Planetary Pop-Up media and reveal the extent to which this media can enrich students' cognitive abilities. The focus is to deepen understanding of the solar system and the invaluable sun. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development approach which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The population of this study included all grade 7 students at SMPN 14 Bogor, and the sample was selected randomly using the Simple Random Sampling (SRS) method to ensure fairness in selection. Data collection was carried out through media trials, interviews, pre-test, and post-test. Data analysis used the T-test technique, focusing on paired t-tests to reveal differences before and after using Planetary Pop-Up media. The results of the analysis show that the use of this media does not provide a significant difference in the average pre-test and post-test scores. It is hoped that these findings can significantly contribute to the development of effective learning media, especially in improving students' cognitive abilities. Apart from that, it is hoped that this research can also be a reference for other researchers interested in conducting similar research using a Piagetian theory-based approach. This discovery is a step towards miracles in the world of education, and it is hoped that it will inspire other daredevils to undertake similar adventures. In all the uniqueness and light found, the hope is that these findings will become a guide that guides knowledge seekers to the right path, creating untold miracles in the world of education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Sustainability Reporting, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), and Profitability in increasing company value. Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 11 articles published between 2019 and 2024, the results show that Sustainability Reporting and GCG have a positive effect on company value, with Profitability as a moderating variable that strengthens this relationship. The implementation of transparent ESG and good governance increases investor confidence, reduces information asymmetry, and encourages financial performance. The challenges faced include inconsistencies in reporting standards, weak supervision, and conflicts between short-term profit targets and long-term sustainability. This study produced a conceptual model that integrates SR, GCG, and profitability as strategies in creating sustainable company value.

Abstract

Strengthening literacy from preschool age impacts children's social, emotional, and critical thinking development. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4, which targets quality and inclusive education for all children. In early literacy development in preschool-aged children, the environment closest to them plays a significant role: the family and school. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Home Literacy Environment (HLE) instrument for preschool-aged children using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The study employs a research and development methodology, specifically the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), to produce a standardized measurement tool. Validation procedures were conducted in three stages: construct validation by three experts, content validation by 14 panellists, and empirical testing involving 165 families with children aged 5–6 years in the Greater Jakarta area. Data were analyzed using CFA to examine factor structure and construct validity. Results indicated that 20 items across the three core dimensions demonstrated adequate factor loadings and significant t-values, with high construct reliability and variance extracted, confirming their validity. Nine indicators of goodness of fit met the criteria. Overall, the model was deemed sufficiently fit and suitable for further interpretation. This study supports the broad applicability of the HLE as a valid measure of the literacy environment created at home for preschool children. By providing a validated HLE instrument, educators, researchers, and policymakers are equipped to assess and enhance the literacy support provided at home. This result enables targeted interventions and informed decision-making to strengthen early learning foundations and promote inclusive, equitable education from the earliest years.

Abstract

Agar siswa dapat bersaing di dunia saat ini di mana kondisi kerja ditentukan oleh ekonomi global, mereka perlu mengembangkan keterampilan abad 21. Sehingga penting bagi siswa untuk memiliki soft skills guna mempersiapkan diri sebelum memasuki dunia kerja. Dengan demikian, perlu persiapan yang matang agar calon pencari kerja dapat melalui berbagai tahap tes seleksi untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan. Pelatihan soft skills bagi siswa SMK ditujukan agar siswa mendapatkan pembekalan berupa motivasi dan pemahaman tentang soft skills untuk persiapan memasuki dunia kerja. Sasaran dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah siswa SMK di Kelurahan Jatinegara Kaum. Kegiatan telah dilaksanakan pada September 2023, dengan melibatkan 30 siswa SMK. Langkah-langkah pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri atas perizinan, penetapan jadwal, penyusunan konsep dan materi, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan penyusunan luaran kegiatan. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi tips mencari pekerjaan, contoh website yang menyediakan informasi lowongan pekerjaan, membuat daftar riwayat hidup (CV) dan resume, dan persiapan diri untuk menghadapi wawancara kerja. Kegiatan ini memberikan pengetahuan baru bagi siswa mengenai hal-hal yang perlu disiapkan saat akan mencari kerja setelah lulus sekolah. Tim pelaksana juga mendampingi siswa dalam menyusun daftar riwayat hidup dan resume. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan diharapkan bermanfaat bagi siswa secara langsung dan bagi sekolah untuk meningkatkan keterserapan lulusan.

Abstract

Community service activities aim to internalize the character values of orphans using the rainbow rocket educational game media at the Orphanage Dhuafa Raydha Aulia. Lecturers and five students in the Family Welfare Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, implement this community service activity. The timing of the activity is May-July 2020. The implementation of this activity involves five administrators and 24 orphans. The steps in implementing the activity are communication with the board, media development, setting the schedule of activities, internalizing character values using the rainbow rocket educational game media, and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of activities. The evaluation activities show a change in the attitude shown by the orphans, especially in the character of self-confidence and hard work. Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai karakter anak yatim dengan menggunakan media game edukasi rainbow rocket di Rumah Yatim Dhuafa Raydha Aulia. Dosen dan lima mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kesejahteraan Keluarga Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan Mei-Juli 2020. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini melibatkan lima pengurus dan 24 anak yatim. Langkah-langkah dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah komunikasi dengan pengurus, pengembangan media, pengaturan jadwal kegiatan, internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter dengan menggunakan media game edukasi rainbow rocket, serta monitoring dan evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Kegiatan evaluasi menunjukkan adanya perubahan sikap yang ditunjukkan oleh anak yatim terutama pada karakter percaya diri dan kerja keras.

Abstract

Background: Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women in Indonesia, and factors such as parity and age at marriage are believed to play a significant role in increasing the risk of developing this disease. Aims: Examine the relationship among parity and age at marriage with the incidence of cancer of cervix by describing the age distribution, parity, age at marriage, and histopathological features of cancer of cervix patients at Gunung Jati Hospital in Cirebon, Indonesia. Methods: This study utilized an analytical observational approach with a cross-sectional design. It analyzed secondary data, specifically the medical records of cancer of cervix patients at Gunung Jati Hospital in Cirebon from 2022 to 2023. A total of 47 patients were selected through total sampling. The Spearman correlation test was employed for statistical analysis to determine the correlation between the variables. Results: The majority of cervical cancer patients were multiparous (70.2%), had a marriage age of < 20 years, and exhibited histological findings of Squamous Cell Carcinoma Keratinizing (48.9%). No correlation was found among parity and the occurrence of cancer of cervix (p = 0.450; p > 0.05). However, a significant association was observed among age at marriage and cancer of the cervix occurrence (p = 0.010; p < 0.05). Conclusion: The results of the study are expected to provide insight into the importance of reproductive factors in the prevention of cervical cancer, as well as recommendations for more effective reproductive health policies.   Received: 02 October 2024  |  Reviewed: 15 October 2024  |  Revised: 09 November 2024  |  Accepted: 30 November 2024.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the moderating role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the relationship between Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and firm value. Good Corporate Governance in this context is proxied by managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and the proportion of independent commissioners. The research employs a sample of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2023 period, resulting in a final sample of 66 firm-years. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. The findings reveal that, partially, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and independent commissioners have a significant positive effect on firm value. Furthermore, the moderation analysis indicates that Corporate Social Responsibility moderates the effect of managerial ownership on firm value. However, CSR does not moderate the relationship between institutional ownership or independent commissioners and firm value.
