Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of TikTok social media use and adolescent consumer behavior. Rapid technological developments have driven changes in social behavior, including online shopping habits through social media. TikTok is now an entertainment platform and a promotional and transaction platform that encourages consumer behavior among adolescents. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method. The study population was adolescents aged 17–22 with a sample of 84 respondents, 62 females and 22 males, selected through a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments included a scale of TikTok social media use intensity (23 items) and a scale of adolescent consumer behavior (33 items). Data analysis using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test showed a result of r = 0.572 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means there is a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of TikTok social media use and adolescent consumer behavior, with a moderate level of closeness. These results indicate that the higher the frequency of TikTok use, the greater the tendency of adolescents to behave in a consumer manner. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of digital literacy and self-control so that teenagers can use social media wisely and not get caught up in excessive consumer behavior.

Abstract

Covid-19 has significantly impacted the daily lives of all people, so the government needs to take public health measures such as distance and online learning, which makes students adapt to solving problems through coping strategies. This study analyses the influence of parenting style, social support, and peer relationships on students' online learning coping strategies. This study uses an associative quantitative approach. The population in this study were students at the Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). This study involved 505 students at the Universitas Negeri Jakarta with a voluntary sampling technique. The researcher conducted this study at Universitas Negeri Jakarta from April to June 2023. The researcher analyses the research data using descriptive and inferential statistics, including multiple linear regression tests. The regression test results show that parenting style, social support, and peer relationships can improve student coping strategies. As much as 34.7 percent of adaptability in adjusting or solving student problems can be explained through parenting style, social support, and peer relationships. This research implies that parents and peers contribute significantly to students' coping strategies. Both have their respective roles that can increase or decrease a student's ability to adapt to the problems they face.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the moderating role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the relationship between Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and firm value. Good Corporate Governance in this context is proxied by managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and the proportion of independent commissioners. The research employs a sample of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2023 period, resulting in a final sample of 66 firm-years. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. The findings reveal that, partially, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and independent commissioners have a significant positive effect on firm value. Furthermore, the moderation analysis indicates that Corporate Social Responsibility moderates the effect of managerial ownership on firm value. However, CSR does not moderate the relationship between institutional ownership or independent commissioners and firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop a bureaucratic simplification model for processing permits for the use of road sections in the Development Work Area (WKP) I of Banten Province during the era of Industrial Revolution 5.0. The main issue addressed is the complexity of licensing procedures that cause service delays, despite the significant potential for revenue generation. Using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with 13 companies applying for permits. The analysis is grounded in Max Weber's rational-legal theory, which emphasizes the role of formal rules, hierarchy, and division of labor, while also highlighting the need for greater bureaucratic flexibility. The findings reveal that implementing bureaucratic simplification through full digitalization of licensing, system automation, enhanced human resource capacity, technology- and human-centered services, and GPS- and GIS-based monitoring can improve transparency, efficiency, and accountability. Consequently, this model is expected to enhance the public service system in Banten Province, making it more responsive to the needs of communities and business actors in the era of Industrial Revolution 5.0.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of gender bias in family communication on toxic masculinity among adolescent boys. The research employed an empirical quantitative approach with an associative design involving male students aged 12–15 years at SMP Negeri 74 Jakarta. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed using Google Forms and analyzed using binary logistic regression. Gender bias in family communication was measured through dimensions of marginalization, subordination, stereotypes, violence, and double burden, while toxic masculinity was assessed through threat and boost dimensions. The findings indicate that gender bias in family communication significantly affects toxic masculinity among adolescents, with a Nagelkerke R Square value of 0.719. The results demonstrate that patriarchal communication patterns within families contribute to the reproduction of rigid masculine norms among adolescent boys. Family based gender awareness is therefore essential to support healthier and more inclusive adolescent social development.
