Abstract

Child stunting remains a significant health issue in Indonesia, particularly within single-mother households facing socioeconomic challenges. This study aims to analyze the impact of single-mother status on child stunting prevalence while evaluating other socioeconomic factors such as educational level, poverty status, and access to basic facilities. The research employs descriptive statistics, multinomial logistic regression, and binary logistic regression methods with SUSENAS 2022. The findings reveal that single-mother status, especially in the divorced while living and divorced due to death categories, significantly increases the risk of child stunting. Additionally, factors such as low maternal education, employment in informal sectors, and limited access to proper sanitation increase stunting prevalence. This study highlights the urgency of integrated policies to support single mothers through improved education, access to stable employment, and enhanced infrastructure to reduce stunting and improve the quality of life for children in vulnerable households. Furthermore, to improve the quality of life of children in each household, debriefing related to nutrition can be carried out for mothers. Thus, problems related to the prevalence of stunting can be minimized, especially from single mothers.

Abstract

The Indonesian FMCG market is booming due to increased consumer spending power. However, this expansion brings challenges, including fierce competition and the potential for escalating production costs. FMCG companies must prioritize innovation to improve operational efficiency and environmental sustainability to stay competitive and profitable. This research explores the strategies employed by a leading Indonesian FMCG company to attain a competitive edge in sustainability by integrating eco-design and lean production principles. The concept of Eco-Design, which emphasizes minimizing environmental impact over the product's lifecycle, is integrated with Lean Production's emphasis on waste reduction and process efficiency. This company is redefining competitiveness by merging these two strategies. It's not just about economic success; it's about achieving that success in a way that prioritizes environmental stewardship and minimizes ecological impact. This holistic strategy seeks to harmonize financial and environmental objectives, creating a mutually reinforcing cycle that fosters a more sustainable and responsible approach to competitive advantage. This study used statistical analysis to confirm that Lean Production and Eco-Design strongly contribute to sustainable manufacturing in the FMCG sector. The findings highlight how combining these two approaches can boost efficiency and sustainability, offering a powerful roadmap for companies in Indonesia and beyond to achieve lasting success in a rapidly changing market. Keywords: eco-design, FMCG market, lean production, prioritize innovation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of political dynamics on institutional independence in criminal prosecution processes, focusing on the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) in post-1998 democratic transition Indonesia. The central issue examined is how constitutional weaknesses are exploited by lawmakers to manipulate institutional design, thereby undermining the capacity of these bodies to function independently. Utilizing a socio-legal methodology that integrates legal analysis with social science perspectives, this interdisciplinary approach explores the interplay between institutional frameworks, regulatory structures, and political dynamics. The findings reveal that the concept of the unitary executive, previously abandoned, has reemerged as a justification for political intervention in institutional design. Consequently, both the KPK and Komnas HAM have experienced a significant erosion of their institutional independence, impairing their effectiveness in addressing corruption and human rights violations. This study contributes to theoretical debates on institutional challenges in emerging democracies and offers practical insights for safeguarding institutional autonomy to ensure the accountability and integrity of governance structures.

Abstract

The industrial sector plays an important role in Indonesia's economy. According to BPS data (2023), the contribution of the industrial sector to GDP is greater than that of the agricultural sector, highlighting its role in economic growth and job creation. This study analyzes the factors influencing labor absorption in Indonesia's industrial sector during the 2013-2021 period, focusing on variables such as output, capital, wages, and the number of firms. Secondary data from BPS is analyzed using a multiple regression model. The findings show that all variables have a significant influence, with output, capital, and wages having a positive effect, while labor absorption has a negative impact, which tends to decline due to increased automation and a shift towards capital-intensive industries that reduce the demand for manual labor. This study emphasizes the importance of policies that balance industrial modernization with labor market inclusivity.
