Abstract

The emergence of digital technology, innovation competition and government regulations Making BUMN 4.0 disrupt incumbent organizations must carry out digital transformation (DT). It turns out that many of TD's efforts fail to live up to expectations due to poor governance. Previous studies have proven the role of IT governance (ITG). Unfortunately, there are still few studies exploring the mechanism of hybrid ITG that affects DT and organizational performance (OP). Therefore, we propose a research question about how the 46 ITG mechanisms affect DT and OP in the Indonesian insurance industry. Insurance A was chosen because there is a strategic direction for TD acceleration as the basis for digitization. Case study method with qualitative data collection through semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis. This study resulted in 4 themes, 19 sub-themes, and 60 codes and succeeded in demonstrating the mechanism of hybrid ITG that affects DT and the dimensions of DT that affect the achievement of knockout targets through the perspective of BSC in the insurance industry. This research is expected to be a reference for further research as well as an implementation reference to oversee the journey of DT, especially in the insurance industry

Abstract

The University is one of the educational institutions affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of its activities, which are academic management, human resource management, information technology services, and so on were changed into WFH (Work from Home) supported by information technology. Utilization of information technology in supporting WFH can create various risks and needs to be controlled either preventive, detective, or corrective to minimize the impact. This research will focus on planning for university information technology risk control in working from home conditions by referring to the ISO 31000:2018 standard for risk management processes, COBIT 5 Generic Risk Scenario for defining risk scenarios, and DoD Instruction 8500.2 and NIST SP 800-53 in the identification of risk controls. The resulting solution is in the form of a risk treatment plan. This solution is expected to assist universities in identifying risks related to information technology and planning controls related to the implementation of work-from-home in their environment.

Abstract

Implementasi BSC TI berbasis COBIT 2019 pada unit Business Complaint Handling Divisi Solution, Delivery and Assurance merupakah sebuah langkah divisi untuk dapat mengetahui performansi kinerja dalam bidang teknologi informasi (TI). Pada penelitian sebelumnya terkait pembuatan model Balanced Scorecard TI (BSC TI) berbasis COBIT pada unit ini dengan metode SEM menghasilkan hipotesis adanya pengaruh kinerja antar perspektif dalam BSC TI. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut diperlukan pembuktian terkait implementasi BSC TI dan pengaruh antar perspektifnya. Pembuktian ini menggunakan metrik alignment goals COBIT 2019 sebagai pedoman untuk pengumpulan data yang berkaitan dengan kinerja terkait TI pada unit Business Complaint Handling. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode wawancara kepada pihak yang bersangkutan pada unit tersebut. Pada prosesnya pengukuran BSC TI menggunakan metrik alignment goals COBIT 2019 perlu dipahami terkait metrik dan perspektif yang tertulis dalam COBIT 2019. Terdapat empat perspektif dalam BSC TI berbasis COBIT 2019 ini, yaitu corporate contribution, customer orientation, operational excellence dan future orientation. Analisis pengukuran BSC TI dilakukan setelah data yang bersesuaian dengan metrik terkumpul, ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh antar perspektif BSC TI sesuai dengan hipotesis yang telah diterima, yaitu adanya pengaruh future orientation terhadap operational excellence, pengaruh operational excellenc terhadap customer orientation dan pengaruh customer orientation terhadap corporate contribution.

Abstract

Disrupsi teknologi digital, peningkatan kompetisi, perubahan perilaku pemangku kepentingan, serta pengaruh pandemi COVID-19 telah membuat banyak perusahaan incumbent berinvestasi menjalankan Transformasi Digital (TD). Namun banyak terjadi kegagalan TD yang diduga disebabkan oleh kurangnya praktik tata kelola yang baik. Riset sebelumnya telah menunjukan peranan Tata Kelola TI (TKTI) untuk peningkatan Kinerja Organisasi (KO). Tapi belum ada penelitian mengenai pengaruh mekanisme TKTI (struktur, proses, relasional) terhadap kesuksesan TD dan KO. Bank B dipilih karena perbankan sangat terdampak oleh financial technology serta Indonesia memiliki potensi ekonomi yang tinggi melalui akselerasi TD. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode studi kasus, pengumpulan data kualitatif melalui wawancara, serta analisis tematik. Riset ini telah berkontribusi dalam melakukan validasi 46 mekanisme hibrida TKTI yang berpengaruh terhadap TD, 6 dimensi TD yang berpengaruh terhadap KO, serta mengidentifikasi pencapaian KO pada 4 perspektif BSC. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi peneliti untuk mendalami mekanisme TKTI hibrida lebih lanjut, maupun referensi implementasi bagi praktisi.

Abstract

The disruption of emerging technologies, startups, changes in stakeholders' behavior, and the COVID-19 pandemic acceleration have forced many companies to perform a digital transformation (DT). However, the facts show many related investment failures because of poor governance practices. Previous research has proven that IT governance (ITG) has a significant role in improving organizational performance. Unfortunately, few studies still show the ITG mechanisms, structures, processes, and relational influence on successful DT. Recent research has found the hybrid ITG influence on DT, but not their relationship to organizational performance. Therefore, we hypothesized the traditional and agile/adaptive ITG mechanisms influence DT and organizational performance. The survey method was used by distributing a questionnaire to the organization's three lines of defense, from the top-level and IT managers (planners, architects, developers, operations, services, security, and quality assurance) to risk managers and internal auditors. The model was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling assisted by SmartPLS. Bank B was chosen because the banking industry is greatly affected in the digital era along with the rise of fintech. The results showed a significant correlation between agile/adaptive and traditional ITG mechanisms on DT and a positive impact on organizational performance. This manuscript contributes to researchers exploring the ITG mechanism details for successful DT and practitioners to implement them in related industries.

Abstract

Munculnya disrupsi teknologi baru, adanya perubahan perilaku pemangku kepentingan, serta munculnya pandemi COVID-19 membuat banyak organisasi incumbent melakukan akselerasi transformasi digital (TD). Namun banyak investasi terkait TD belum memenuhi harapan karena kurangnya praktik tata kelola yang baik. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan adanya dampak tata kelola TI (TKTI) terhadap kinerja organisasi. Akan tetapi, praktik TKTI tradisional belum tentu efektif untuk mengawal TD. Masih sedikit penelitian mengenai pengaruh TKTI terhadap TD, serta mengeksplorasi pengaruh TD terhadap kinerja organisasi (KO). Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji model pengaruh TKTI hibrida (tradisional dan agile/ adaptive) terhadap TD dan pengaruh DT terhadap KO pada perspektif balanced scorecard (BSC). Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan menyebarkan kuesioner online berskala likert kepada 11 peranan terkait TD di Asuransi C dan berhasil mendapatkan 52 responden. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dan aplikasi SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme TKTI agile/ adaptive maupun tradisional berpengaruh positif terhadap TD dengan nilai t statistic 1.799/ 2.754. Begitu pun TD berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap KO dengan nilai t statistic 13.001.

Abstract

Disrupsi teknologi terkini, perubahan perilaku pemangku kepentingan menuju digital, dan adanya pandemi COVID-19 telah mendesak berbagai organisasi untuk akselerasi Transformasi Digital (TD). Namun, banyak terjadi kegagalan investasi TD disebabkan kurang memadainya praktik tata kelola yang baik. Penelitian sebelumnya telah menunjukkan peran tata kelola TI (TKTI) untuk meningkatkan realisasi manfaat TI, tetapi belum banyak penelitian tentang pengaruh TKTI terhadap TD dan kinerja organisasi (KO). Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh mekanisme TKTI hibrida (tradisional dan agile/adaptif) terhadap TD dan KO. Asuransi C dipilih karena industri asuransi sangat terpengaruh oleh teknologi dan Indonesia memiliki potensi ekonomi digital yang tinggi melalui TD. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi kasus, pengumpulan data secara kualitatif melalui wawancara, dan analisis tematik. Penelitian ini telah berkontribusi dalam melakukan validasi 46 mekanisme TKTI hibrida yang memengaruhi TD, 6 dimensi TD yang memengaruhi KO, dan mengidentifikasi pencapaian KO pada 4 perspektif BSC dan menemukan 4 tema, 20 sub-tema, dan 57 kode pada penelitian ini. Penelitian ini juga berhasil menemukan mekanisme TKTI baru pada Asuransi C, total dari mekanisme TKTI baru pada asuransi C berupa 9% dan mekanisme TKTI lama yang ditemukan sebanyak 91%. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi peneliti untuk mendalami topik terkait lebih lanjut, maupun referensi implementasi bagi praktisi.

Abstract

The Alms Trash Program was launched to increase the role of active communities, create awareness of environmental involvement, and build a new culture of collecting waste. The communication and message delivery program is carried out through a socialization program and learning presence by giving alms. This study aims to understand the PR process (Public Relations) which consists of gathering facts and formulating problems, planning and programming, actions and communication, and evaluating the alms program conducted by the organizer. The research method used is a case study research method. Collecting data through interviews, observations, and documents. The collection of facts carried out by the supervisor starts with comments and complaints submitted by external parties, also goes to the field to see firsthand the environmental conditions of the City of Tangerang. Program organizers, licensed, designed, goal setting, audience resolution, media selection and public relations techniques, and budget planning. The action taken by the organizer in the waste alms program is.

Abstract

Along with the latest technological disruption, changes in stakeholder behavior towards digital and the Covid-19 pandemic have directed various organizations to accelerate digital transformation (DT). However, there have been many failures in DT investments, which are thought to be due to a lack of governance. Previous research has identified the effect of traditional and agile/adaptive ITG on the success of TD in the private sector. Therefore, testing the model of the influence of ITG on DT and organizational performance (OP) in the public sector was conducted. This study took a case study of DT ministry A which has received many DT awards. The survey was conducted by distributing e-questionnaires to 50 respondents, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The results showed that traditional and agile/adaptive TKTI mechanisms had a positive and significant effect on BP and TD on KO. This research contributes to the knowledge base and becomes a reference for implementing the hybrid TKTI mechanism for TD and KO in the public sector.

Abstract

The emergence of the latest technological disruption, high competition from digital competitors, changes in consumer behavior towards digital, and the COVID19 pandemic have disrupted many incumbent companies and forced them to carry out digital transformation (DT). However, many companies experience DT failure due to poor governance. Previous research has shown the importance of IT governance (ITG) in improving organizational performance (OP). However, the effectiveness of this traditional ITG is doubtful to support DT. Recent studies show the influence of hybrid, traditional, and agile/adaptive governance on DT. However, there is a need further to validate the impact of hybrid ITG on DT and identify the effect of DT on OP. Therefore, research has been carried out using the case study method on bank A which was disrupted by fintech. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews of 11 essential roles related to DT by triangulation of internal bank documents. Whereas the data is processed using thematic analysis. This study succeeded in validating all hybrid ITG mechanisms at bank A, even adding several others, and identifying the influence of the hybrid ITG to DT dimension, and DT dimensions to organizational performance (OP), including their achievements. The research results can be helpful as an implementation reference for practitioners and further deepen similar research or extend it to a different industry.
