Abstract

Hydroponics training at the Indonesian School of Davao (SID) Philippines aims to improve students' skills in growing crops using soilless methods. Hydroponics is an effective solution for sustainable agriculture in countries with limited land. This training was carried out in three stages: pre-activity, implementation, and evaluation. The pre-activity stage identifies problems in implementing modern agricultural technology in schools. During implementation, students gain theoretical and practical understanding of hydroponic systems, including planting media selection, plant care, and nutrient management. Evaluation is carried out to assess the skills students acquire after training. Participants' response to the training reached 97%, reflecting high satisfaction and interest in the material presented. These findings confirm that hydroponic training can be an effective solution in preparing students to face the challenges of sustainable agriculture in the future. The results of the training show that students are able to manage hydroponic systems independently and understand the importance of environmentally friendly agriculture, as well as the skills needed to face agricultural challenges in the future.

Abstract

Jumbrek is a traditional semi-moist cake from Paciran, Lamongan Regency, East Java. This traditional snack is made from a mixture of rice flour, coconut milk, and siwalan palm sugar syrup, combined in specific proportions and then stirred until homogeneous. The mixture is poured into trumpet-shaped molds made from siwalan leaves and steamed. Currently, the steaming process utilizes a pot equipped with a bamboo steamer. The existing equipment has several drawbacks: the steaming time is lengthy, the volume capacity is limited due to steam leakage from the loosely sealed lid, and the steamer is not sturdy. Repeated use causes the bamboo weave to deteriorate, leading to a risk of collapse. In addition to the inadequate steaming apparatus, another issue is the packaging, which consists of thin plastic that tears easily and lacks visual appeal. The implementation of this project involved several stages, including surveys, observations, interviews, collaboration with jumbrek-producing small and medium enterprises (SMEs), equipment design, manufacturing, assembly, functional testing, equipment delivery, guidance, and the application of new tools and product packaging. The outcomes of the project include a jumbrek steamer that meets the requirements of the SMEs, characterized by robust construction, practicality, increased strength, and improved hygiene. The new steamer can accommodate 140 units of jumbrek in 45 minutes, representing a three- to fourfold increase in productivity compared to the previous steamer, and enhanced packaging, consisting of durable, transparent, and aesthetically appealing bags made from thick plastic, measuring 30 cm by 32 cm, with an attractive design and labeling.

Abstract

Biomass waste is one of the potentials that can be utilized to become alternative energy that can contribute to sustainable development. With briquetting, waste that previously had no benefit can be used as a renewable energy source. In this study aims to compare the characteristics (moisture content, ash content, volatile matter content, bound carbon content and calorific value) of raw materials (coconut shell, corn cob and tapioca flour) and then test characteristics after the raw materials are briquetted. The results of this study with briquetting of waste were able to produce 3.78% moisture content, 11.7% ash content, 0.869 volatile matter content, 5512 cal/g calorific value and 83.651% bound carbon content. So that briquetting can be one of the innovations to optimize the utilization of waste to be processed into renewable energy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti tingginya angka kematian akibat penyakit kardiovaskular di Indonesia, terutama karena henti jantung mendadak yang sering terjadi di luar rumah sakit dan minimnya pertolongan pertama yang tepat. Dengan melibatkan 30 siswa kelas X MA Sunan Pandanaran Yogyakarta sebagai sampel, penelitian pre-eksperimental ini menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest untuk menilai pengaruh simulasi Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) terhadap sikap kesiapsiagaan siswa. Setelah diberikan edukasi dan praktik simulasi BHD selama 30 menit, hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan sikap kesiapsiagaan siswa dari kategori “cukup” menjadi “baik”, dengan uji Wilcoxon menghasilkan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah simulasi BHD efektif meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan siswa dalam menghadapi situasi darurat medis, sehingga disarankan agar metode ini diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan kesehatan di sekolah menengah dan diperluas ke kelompok remaja di berbagai institusi pendidikan.

Abstract

Many factors influence the low number of skilled vocational high school graduates. One factor that is the leading cause is the lack of instruments that can be used in the learning process, especially authentic instruments, to assess students' abilities in the psychomotor domain. Students who are dominant in the cognitive sphere are not necessarily skilled in the psychomotor realm, especially when using the equipment and making improvements to the brake system. The purpose of this study is to develop an assessment instrument that is appropriate to be used by the teacher in evaluating the psychomotor domain's abilities, specifically for the brake system competency. This research is development research that uses ADDIE models as a reference for research. ADDIE model has five stages of development that need to be considered, including analysis; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementations; and (5) evaluation. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the psychomotor domain assessment instrument for the competency of the brake system that was developed to be suitable for use in the learning process. Feasibility is proven from the results of the validation of experts who get an assessment of 4.66 with a very valid category. The instrument reliability test results that get the Cronbach's alpha value of 0.895, and the value of inter-observer reliability is 0.740. In addition, the instrument is also practical when used in the learning process. This was evidenced by the acquisition of practicality test value of 3.31 and entered in the practical category.

Abstract

The 4.0 industrial revolution is currently underway, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is an industry that combines automation technology with cyber-physical technology. In accordance with the objectives of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 which was coined by Professor Klaus Schwab, a German economist and founder of the World Economic Forum, that the world would be focused on increasing production by utilizing the latest technology. Technological progress is faster then humans should be able to adapt faster. The challenges and opportunities of industry 4.0 greatly impacted people's lives, one of which was the problem of unemployment. The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of Krian 1 Vocational School Students to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Criteria for measuring industry readiness 4.0 A method that compares the skills possessed by vocational students and the demands of life in the 21st century that have been reviewed by several experts. The study found that: (1) improvement of the learning process in vocational schools in the context of facing the 21st century and the 4.0 revolution and (2) improving the quality of teachers related to 21st century skills demands.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is an uncomfortable feeling experienced by a person, in the form of fear, tension, and emotion. In the context of facing clinical practice, psychological pressure can arise and increase anxiety level, resulting in mental problem. Due to its negative impact, it is crucial to overcome anxiety. Therefore, coping mechanism is applied to make a self-adjustment toward problem. Moreover, each person has different coping mechanism.Objective: To determine the correlation between coping mechanisms and anxiety levels of facing clinical practice among students of Diploma IV Anesthesiology Nursing at ‘Aisyiyah University of Yogyakarta.Method: This was an observational study with a Cross-Sectional design. The respondents of this study were 61 students from Anesthesiology Nursing Diploma IV program at ‘Aisyiyah University of Yogyakarta class of 2022, and whom were facing clinical practice in hospital. The research instruments were the Brief Cope Scoring questionnaire for measuring coping mechanisms and the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS) for measuring anxiety levels. Data analysis used was the Spearman Rank Correlation Test.Results: Most of respondents were experiencing moderate anxiety. The results of the statistical test obtained a p-value of 0,000 (<0,05) with a correlation coefficient of 0,582.Conclusion: There is a medium-strength positive correlation between coping mechanisms and anxiety levels in facing clinical practice among Anesthesiology Nursing Diploma IV students at ‘Aisyiyah University of Yogyakarta.INTISARILatar belakang:  Kecemasan merupakan perasaan tidak nyaman yang dialami seseorang, berupa rasa takut, tegang, dan emosional. Dalam menghadapi praktik klinik, mahasiswa akan mengalami berbagai tekanan psikologis dan meningkatkan kecemasan hingga mengakibatkan masalah mental. Dengan banyaknya dampak buruk yang ditimbulkan oleh kecemasan, membuat hal ini penting untuk diatasi. Penyesuaian diri untuk mengatasi masalah ini dilakukan dengan cara mekanisme koping. Dalam hal ini setiap individu memiliki mekanisme koping yang berbeda.Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara mekanisme koping terhadap tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi praktik klinik pada mahasiswa Diploma IV Keperawatan Anestesiologi Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif analisis korelasional dengan desain cross sectional. Responden penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program Diploma IV Keperawatan Anestesiologi Universitas ’Aisyiyah Yogyakarta angkatan 2022 dengan jumlah 61 responden yang sedang menghadapi praktik klinik. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa Kuesioner Brief Cope Scoring untuk mekanisme koping dan Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS) untuk mengukur tingkat kecemasan. Analisis data menggunakan uji Korelasi Spearman's Rank.Hasil:  Uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa 61 responden mengalami kecemasan tingkat sedang dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,000 (<0,05) dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,582.Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan dengan kekuatan sedang dan arah korelasi positif antara mekanisme koping terhadap skor kecemasan menghadapi praktik klinik pada mahasiswa Diploma IV Keperawatan Anestesiologi Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Mahasiswa Keperawatan Anestesiologi memiliki aktivitas perkuliahan yang padat sehingga cenderung kurang aktif secara fisik. Perilaku sedentari ini berisiko meningkatkan tekanan darah, gula darah, dan berat badan. Latihan Lunges merupakan bentuk aktivitas fisik sederhana yang dapat meningkatkan kebugaran dan menurunkan risiko penyakit tidak menular. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode desain pre-experimental menggunakan rancangan one group pre-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian 200 orang dengan teknik simple random sampling menggunakan rumus slovin. Sampel pada penelitian berjumlah 60 responden. Intrumen yang digunakan meliputi spghymomanometer, glucometer, timbangan digital dan lembar observasi. Analisa data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil: Hasil penelitian rata-rata tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik responden masing-masing sebesar 120/85 mmHg. Rata-rata kadar gula darah sewaktu sebesar 85 mg/dL. Berat badan responden berkisar antara 40–84 kg, dengan rata-rata 53 kg. Seluruh responden menunjukkan tekanan darah dan kadar gula darah dalam batas normal pasca intervensi, serta 25% responden mengalami penurunan berat badan sebesar 1–2 kg. Uji bivariat Wilcoxon signed rank test menunjukkan nilai p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), menandakan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari latihan Lunges terhadap ketiga variabel. Simpulan: Latihan Lunges berpengaruh positif dalam menjaga kesehatan kardiovaskular dan metabolik. Latihan ini direkomendasikan sebagai bentuk aktivitas fisik rutin bagi mahasiswa dengan gaya hidup sedentari

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Latar Belakang: Indonesia merupakan negara dengan tingkat kerawanan tinggi terhadap bencana gunung meletus, termasuk wilayah Cangkringan di Sleman yang berada di lereng Gunung Merapi. Rendahnya keterampilan masyarakat, khususnya siswa, dalam menghadapi situasi darurat seperti cedera akibat bencana menjadi perhatian serius. Simulasi bencana sebagai metode pembelajaran praktis dinilai efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pertolongan pertama seperti balut bidai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh simulasi bencana gunung meletus terhadap keterampilan balut bidai pada siswa sma negeri 1 cangkringan. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan pre-eksperimental dengan one-group pre-test post-test design. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik simple random sampling, dengan total responden 30 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa lembar observasi keterampilan balut bidai. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil: Hasil uji statistik Wilcoxon menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan balut bidai siswa secara signifikan setelah mengikuti simulasi, dengan nilai p sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05). Simpulan: Simulasi bencana gunung meletus efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan balut bidai pada siswa. Kata kunci: Simulasi bencana, Gunung meletus, Balut bidai, Keterampilan, Siswa SMA.

Abstract

Proses pembuatan roti dikenal istilah fermentasi atau proses menghasilkan adonan roti yang dapat mengembang dengan sempurna. Tahap ini meliputi proses peragian (bulk fermentation), tahap menguleni (folding), pembentukan adonan (shapping), dan pengembangan adonan (fermentasi akhir atau final proofing). Proofing merupakan tahap fermentasi akhir yaitu proses pengaktifan ragi pada adonan roti dalam jangka waktu tertentu. Berdasarkan hasil studi lapangan yang telah dilakukan tim pengusul didapatkan informasi bahwa UKM mitra (UKM Roti) selama ini melakukan proses proofing masih dengan alat konvensional, yaitu memanfaatkan temperatur kamar dalam melakukan proses proofing. Hal tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat yang sederhana dan membutuhkan waktu 90 menit pada proses tersebut sehingga berpengaruh dengan produksi roti yang dihasilkan. Solusi yang ditawarkan pada kegiatan ini berupa rancang bangun mesin proofer yang dapat digunakan oleh UKM mitra dengan harapan dapat mempersingkat proses proofing dan meningkatkan jumlah produksi.Kegiatan PKM dapat dilaksanakan sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Mesin hybrid proofer sudah diberikan kepada UKM Mitra dan mendapatkan pelatihan cara pengoperasian alat. Monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan melalui wawancara dan pengisian angket. Hasil pengisian angket menunjukkan persentase sebesar 86,36%. Dari hasil tersebut tabel kriteria penilaian adalah baik dimana dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa pelatihan pengoperasian alat memiliki nilai manfaat dan penggunaan alat dapat memberikan nilai tambah untuk berkembangnya usaha UKM Mitra. Dari hasil wawancara didapatkan peningkatan jumlah produksi sebesar 40-50% dan waktu proofing menjadi lebih singkat (45 menit).
