Abstract

The approach to biology learning methods with biodiversity material that explores natural potential such as recognizing regional flora and fauna mascots can be an idea to form positive student characters, one of which is caring for the environment and having pride in regional identity. This study aims to analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of the module as an enrichment of biodiversity material based on local potential through the introduction of regional flora and fauna mascots on the learning outcomes of students of SMAN 1 Sungai Apit and students' responses to the module. This research was conducted in three stages, namely problem analysis, development, and testing with purposive sampling technique. The discovery learning model has fulfilled the scientific principles, but the design is not complete according to the syntax of the discovery learning model in the planning stage and the implementation stage. Evaluation, which is used by observing student activeness and conducting tests to students, namely by assignment and practice. In addition to student participation, it takes the active role of subject teachers and support facilities from the school. Abstrak. Pendekatan metode pembelajaran biologi dengan materi biodiversitas yang menggali potensi alam seperti mengenal maskot flora dan fauna daerah dapat menjadi sebuah gagasan untuk membentuk karakter positif siswa salah satunya peduli lingkungan dan memiliki kebanggaan atas identitas daerah. Studi ini mengeksplorasi kelayakan dan efektivitas modul yang bertujuan memperkaya pendidikan biodiversitas melalui pengenalan maskot flora dan fauna daerah. Studi ini dilakukan di SMAN 1 Sungai Apit dengan mengikuti tiga tahap: analisis masalah, pengembangan, dan pengujian. Studi ini menemukan bahwa meskipun model discovery learning sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip ilmiah, perlu penyempurnaan lebih lanjut dalam desain dan implementasinya. Modul menunjukkan potensi dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan kesadaran lingkungan, tetapi membutuhkan peran aktif guru dan fasilitas sekolah yang memadai untuk efektivitas optimal.

Abstract

Abstrak "Pendidikan adalah kesadaran untuk mengembangkan kepribadian dan kemampuan di dalam dan luar sekolah dan berlangsung seumur hidup", yang dilaksanakan di dalam lingkungan keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Suatu lembaga pendidikan pasti mengharapkan tercapainya tujuan pendidikan yang mana dapat membantu terwujudnya tujuan nasional. Keterpaduan pendidikan baik keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat sangat menentukan keberhasilan dalam dunia pendidikan. Keluarga merupakan lembaga pendidikan tertua, yang pertama dan utama dialami oleh anak dan lembaga pendidikan yang bersifat kodrat. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal hakekatnya merupakan lembaga yang mendapat kepercayaan dari orang tua untuk mendidik anak-anaknya dengan tanggung jawab yang terbatas, sesuai dengan fungsi dan tujuan lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Orang tua khususnya ibu mempunyai andil keberhasilan anaknya. Ibu adalah pendidik pertama, utama dan kodrat. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan judul " Perkembangan Kognitif Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di tinjau dari tingkat Pendidikan Ibu Berdasarkan hasil data penelitian yang ditemukan bahwa tingkat pendidikan ibu dengan kategori sarjana lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tingkat pendidikan SLTA/SMK dan SLTP dalam hal mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif anak Rumbai Kota Perkanbaru Abstract Education is understanding to develop the personality and in and out of school and lasted for hidup' , which was carried out within the family , schools and the community .An institution must expect the achievement of the aims of education where it can help maintaining national goals .Both the integrated education , schools and community it is the success in education sector .The family was the oldest educational institutions , first and foremost for children and educational institution that is nature .Schools as formal educational institutions is a substance that was commissioned from parents to educate anak-anaknya with limited responsibility , in accordance with its function and purpose the educational institutions. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis tentang Pendekatan Behavioural dengan Teknik Social Modelling untuk Mengurangi Perilaku Tempertantrum pada Anak Usia Dini Kec.Tandun Kabupaten Rokan Hulu Riau. Penelitiian ini dilakukan pada Anak Usia Dini Kec.Tandun Kabupaten Rokan Hulu Riau.Metode penelitian adalah suatu cara sistematis yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu dalam penelitian, metode penelitian diartikan sebagai cara ilmiah untuk mendapatkan data dengan tujuan dan kegunaan tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang memungkinkan dilakukan pencatatan dan penganalisa data hasil penelitian secara eksak dengan menggunakan perhitungan statistik. Perbedaan skor evaluasi awal dan evaluasi akhir, ada pengurangan skor perilaku tempertantrum anak usia dini sebelum dan sesudah diberi layanan konseling dengan pendekatan behavioral teknik social modeling sebesar 20.33. Kata Kunci : Pendekatan behavioural, tempertantrum. Abstract This study aims to find out and analyze the Behavioral Approach with Social Modeling Techniques to Reduce the Behavior of Tempertantrum in Early Childhood Villages in the District of Rokan Hulu Riau District. This research was carried out in Early Childhood District Subdistrict, District of Rokan Hulu Riau. Research method is a systematic method used to achieve certain goals in research, the research method is defined as a scientific way to obtain data with specific purposes and uses. This study uses a quantitative approach that allows recording and analyzing the exact results of the research data using statistical calculations. The difference between the initial evaluation score and the final evaluation, there is a reduction in the score of the tempertantrum behavior of early childhood before and after being given counseling services with a behavioral approach to social modeling techniques of 20.33. Key words : Behavioral approach, tempertantrum.

Abstract

The plankton community structure is a collection of zooplankton and phytoplankton populations that interact with each other in a waters. This study aims to analyze the structure of the plankton community and the influence of environmental conditions (physico-chemical) on the structure of the plankton community in the ponds. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling method, which represents three types of catfish ponds, namely, earthen ponds, tarpaulins, and biofloc. The results showed that in the three types of ponds studied, there were two species of zooplankton and 45 species of phytoplankton. Phytoplankton in soil ponds was dominated by Stigeoclonium subsecundum. Meanwhile, the zooplankton was dominated by Nebela collaris. Diversity (H') of zooplankton is in the low category with polluted water quality in the three ponds, while phytoplankton is in the high-low category. The equitability index (E) of zooplankton is in the stable category, while phytoplankton is in the depressed-stable category. The dominance index (D) of zooplankton belongs to the medium-low category, while phytoplankton belongs to the low category. As for the physico-chemical parameters of the waters, the three types of ponds have different effects from each parameter tested on the structure of the plankton community.

Abstract

This study aims to highlight and evaluate the issues at an in-depth level to provide different solutions that are expected to be a reflection for the government, especially the Ministry of Education and Culture, to be able to improve the implementation and monitoring of the Kampus Mengajar Program. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, and the data were collected from a focus group discussion with students of the English Education Study Program at Universitas Lancang Kuning, then the data was analyzed descriptively. The results highlight some problems in the implementation of the Kampus Merdeka Program. These included a lack of coordination and clear communication between stakeholders, which led to confusion among students and schools, uneven targeting of schools, inadequate support for the program, and credit conversion, resulting in frustration and challenges. Addressing these issues, the study recommended increased socialization of the program, transparency in credit equivalency, and more accurate school data collection. In conclusion, this research offers several solutions that are expected to reflect the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) that the Kampus Mengajar Program faces various challenges in its implementation, which need to be addressed for the program to effectively meet its goal of improving education in the 3T areas.

Abstract

Plankton is an effective bioindicator for diagnosing freshwater pollution. We assessed the plankton community structure at three Sail River sites representing residential, industrial-urban, and agro-rural influences, and correlated biological indices with physicochemical parameters. Purposeful sampling and standard microscopy were used to identify and quantify taxa; Shannon diversity (H′), equitability index (E), dominance (D), trophic status, and saprobicity were obtained. In total, 106 taxa were recorded (zooplankton: 4 species in 3 higher groups; phytoplankton: 102 species in 20 classes). Phytoplankton abundance ranged from 3.0–9.1 × 10³ cells L⁻¹ across sites (mesotrophic), while zooplankton ranged from 1.9–161 × 10³ individuals L⁻¹. Phytoplankton diversity was moderate to high (H′ = 2.1–3.2) at less impacted sites and lower at residential sites; zooplankton diversity was low to moderate (H′ = 1.3–1.5). Saprobicity scores indicated β–α mesosaprobic conditions (light to moderate organic impact), consistent with elevated COD and low DO at residential sites. Cyanophyceae and Euglenophyceae were more frequent at sites with higher organic and nutrient loads, while Bacillariophyceae increased with increasing water clarity/flow. Overall, plankton metrics and chemistry indicated local organic stress rather than an “unpolluted” state. We emphasize the need for seasonal replication and more accurate quantification to reduce uncertainty in abundance estimates.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of Project-Based Learning on eleventh grade students’ higher-order cognitive learning outcomes and learning activities in biology. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group was employed involving 66 students from SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Kuantan, Indonesia. The participants were divided into an experimental group receiving Project-Based Learning and a control group receiving conventional instruction. Data were collected using a cognitive achievement test based on the revised Bloom taxonomy at the levels of analyzing, evaluating, and creating, as well as structured observation sheets to assess students’ learning activities. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-tests, and normalized gain analysis. The results revealed that the experimental group achieved a higher mean posttest score (82.62) than the control group (73.13), with a statistically significant difference (p < .05). The experimental group also demonstrated a higher normalized gain score (0.65) compared with the control group (0.47). Furthermore, students’ learning activities in the experimental class increased consistently across the intervention, rising from 78.79% to 87.88%. These findings indicate that Project-Based Learning effectively promotes higher order thinking and active engagement in biology learning. The study contributes to the literature by integrating cognitive outcomes and observable learning activities within a single analytical framework, offering practical implications for the implementation of student-centered instruction in secondary biology education.  Mereposisi Pembelajaran Biologi melalui Project-Based Learning: Bukti pada Materi Sistem Pencernaan Manusia ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Project-Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar kognitif tingkat tinggi dan aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan pola pretest-posttest control group yang melibatkan 66 peserta didik dari SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Kuantan, Indonesia. Partisipan dibagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan kelompok kontrol yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes hasil belajar kognitif yang disusun berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom revisi pada level menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta, serta lembar observasi terstruktur untuk mengukur aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji independent samples t test, dan analisis normalized gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen memperoleh rerata nilai posttest yang lebih tinggi (82,62) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (73,13), dengan perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,05). Kelompok eksperimen juga menunjukkan nilai normalized gain yang lebih tinggi (0,65) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (0,47). Selain itu, aktivitas belajar peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang konsisten selama intervensi, dari 78,79% menjadi 87,88%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Project-Based Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan kajian pendidikan biologi dengan mengintegrasikan hasil belajar kognitif dan aktivitas belajar dalam satu kerangka analisis, serta memberikan implikasi praktis bagi penerapan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik di pendidikan menengah

Abstract

Many students still experience difficulties in developing argumentation skills because learning activities often emphasize memorization rather than analytical reasoning. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Scientific Critical Thinking in improving students’ argumentation skills in learning the human digestive system. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group framework involving two groups of senior high school students, namely the experimental and control groups. Data were collected through pretests, posttests, and an argumentation skills questionnaire developed based on the Toulmin Argument Pattern, which includes the indicators of claim, data, warrant, backing, qualifier, and rebuttal. The research instruments were validated prior to implementation to ensure reliability and accuracy in measuring students’ argumentation abilities. The collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent samples t-test. The results indicate that students who participated in learning using the SCT model demonstrated significantly higher argumentation skills compared to those who experienced conventional instruction. These findings suggest that integrating the SCT learning model effectively enhances students’ critical reasoning, scientific argumentation, and deeper conceptual understanding in biology learning, thereby supporting the development of essential competencies required in 21st-century education.
