Abstract

This research is a research and development which is aimed to produce a certain product or develop an existing product including test its effectiveness. The research and development procedures are included in stages such as: Potential and problems; Data collection; Product design; Design validation; Design revisions; Product I trial; Product I revision; Trial usage; Product Revision II; Mass product. The data analysis resulted as follows (1) in the teaching materials that have been developed on the subject matter of additives and addictive substances based on BSNP, (a) the aspects of content worthiness is 3.65 of mean, (b) the aspects of language worthiness is 3.70 of mean, (c) the aspects of the feasibility of serving with is 3.60 of mean, those score are valid and don’t need any revision and it is very decent. (2) It is the students understanding who use the material that has been developed, it obtained an average of 80.21. However the understanding of students who did not use the teaching materials developed just obtained an average of 65.00. This result shows that the understanding of students using the developed teaching materials is higher than without using developed teaching materials.

Abstract

Scientific approach is one of approach applied in the Curriculum of 2013. The Scientific approach designed student as the subject of learning and teacher as a facilitator and motivator. In this design, teacher is not must explain all of the teaching material. There are 5 steps of the scientific approach which is abbreviated into 5M as follows: observing, asking, gathering information, reasoning, and communicating. The Objective of this study are (1) to measure the scientific approach application in the curriculum of 2013 in High Schools of Medan City, (2) to find out the obstacles commonly faced by Biology teachers in the application of scientific approach in the Curriculum of 2013 in State High Schools in Medan and (3 ) to find out the school facilities and infrastructure that supports the application of the scientific approach in the Curriculum of 2013 at State High Schools in Medan. This research was conducted in State High School in Medan City. The research held on July - September 2019. The research applied descriptive method to find out the application of scientific approach steps in State High School in Medan City. The instruments in this study were observation, questionnaire, and interview. The data were analyzed by the scientific approach data analysis and also by the analysis of observation data. This research is targeted to be publishes in any National non-Accredited Journal. The TKT proposed in this research is on a scale of 1 which shows the basic principles of learning technology with a recorded scientific approach

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that aims to understand the phenomena of elementary mathematics learning outcomes. The resulting data is presented in the form of numbers described in the description. Research using the observation method was conducted on mathematics learning outcomes in grades III and grade V of elementary schools spread across three districts/cities in North Sumatra Province. To understand students' errors and misconceptions is essential for the effective teaching and learning of mathematics. It is important for teachers to approach student mistakes in a constructive way, helping students understand their mistakes and learn from them. Research has been conducted to investigate patterns of student misunderstandings, errors, and misunderstandings across educational systems, grade levels, gender, and time. Several case studies of mathematics subjects in elementary schools in North Sumatra Province became the main focus of the North Sumatra Education Office so that they held improvement and development activities for Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics subjects in 2022. The conclusion showed that only three grades III fulfilled and 1 class V that meets above the value of 70.

Abstract

This study looks into how well flipcharts and the circuit learning model might improve scientific learning results and cooperative attitudes in Indonesian elementary school students. In order to address the widespread problem of low educational quality, the research proposes a novel method of instruction. The underutilization of engaging media in scientific education is the research gap, and the uniqueness is in suggesting the circuit learning model with flipcharts as a possible solution. The study used the independent sample t-test as a quantitative method for assessing hypotheses. The experimental group outperformed the control group in terms of learning outcomes, according to the statistical results. The findings of the t-test (p < 0.05) attest to the effectiveness of the circuit learning model utilizing flipcharts in improving science learning. In particular, there was an increase in student involvement, attention span, and general learning activities when flipchart media was used. These statistical results offer empirical backing for the suggested intervention, indicating that it has the capacity to close the noted research gap and improve students' academic and social learning experiences. The statistically significant findings of this study suggest that teachers should think about implementing the circuit learning model with flipcharts as a successful tactic to enhance scientific teaching outcomes

Abstract

Ada lima permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: pertama, bahan ajar yang digunakan masih monoton dan juga kurang menarik. Kedua, peserta didik memiliki kemampuan yang terbatas sehingga sulit memahami dengan baik bahan ajar yang tersedia Ketiga bahan ajar bergambar atau berbasis Wordless Picture Book tidak tersedia di sekolah. Keempat, buku yang dimiliki oleh sekolah berasal dari buku guru dan siswa edisi revisi Kemendikbud. Kelima, perolehan nilai pembelajaran pada pembelajaran IPA peserta didik masih tergolong rendah di bawah KKM. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk menilai kelayakan, kepraktisan dan juga keefektifan bahan ajar Wordless Picture Book dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD Negeri 060910. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research & Development model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa angket, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa: 1) kelayakan bahan ajar Wordless Picture Book Berbasis Nilai-nilai Karakter layak diujicobakan. 2) kepraktisan bahan ajar Wordless Picture Book Berbasis Nilai-nilai Karakter dianalisis dari penilaian respon guru dari hasil wawancara dan respon peserta didik melalui angket 3) efektivitas bahan ajar diperoleh dari nilai NGain dimana terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam memahami materi pembelajaran setelah menggunakan bahan ajar Wordless Picture Book Berbasis Nilai-nilai Karakter.

Abstract

One of the problems with education in Indonesia, especially in Central Tapanuli Regency, is the unequal distribution of teachers, especially in certain skills, for example science teachers. On the one hand, there are professional demands on teachers, meaning that teachers are the determining factor in the success of a quality learning process, so that whether or not education achieves its goals is always linked to the work of teachers. Therefore, efforts made to improve the quality of education should start from improving the quality of teachers. One solution related to the problem above is to provide practical science training for elementary school teachers who do not have a science background. The form of this practicum adapts to the types of experiments in elementary school, namely it is simple and can be carried out by students themselves. The evaluation carried out during this PPM activity consists of 2 forms, namely performance evaluation carried out by the PPM team and evaluation in the form of a questionnaire filled in by the teacher participants. From the performance evaluation, participants whose teachers took part in training activities had an average activity score of 84.3, which was in the good category. Meanwhile, from the questionnaire it can be concluded that similar training is very necessary to increase experience and knowledge, especially science practicum

Abstract

The implementation of the mentoring activity of carbohydrate content testing in food for prospective elementary school teachers as a learning innovation aims to improve teacher skills in learning and can improve the learning outcomes of students in science learning in grade IV of Elementary School 060893 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year. This activity aims for prospective teachers to be able to integrate learning innovations through carbohydrate testing in food, so that the learning process activities become effective and efficient in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school science learning. The activity method is carried out through several stages of activities including: preparation activities, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the community service program show that science learning outcomes have increased in grade IV at Elementary School 060893 Medan.

Abstract

Motivasi diartikan sebagai perubahan energi dalam diri seseorang yang ditandai dengan munculnya perasaan (feeling) dan didahului dengan adanya tanggapan terhadap adanya tujuan. TGT adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif yang menggabungkan peserta didik dalam bentuk tim untuk mengumpulkan poin untuk tim mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik kelas III SDN 060879 melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Game Tournament (TGT). Jenis Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dengan tahapan planning (perencanaan), acting (pelaksanaan), observing (pengamatan), dan reflecting (refleksi). Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas III SD Negeri 060879 Medan Timur, dengan sampel sebanyak 25 peserta. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Instrumen angket motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik. Prosedur analisis yang digunakan berupa data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian siklus I didapat rata-rata hasil angket motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik sebesar 71,6% termasuk kedalam kategori tinggi, kemudian setelah dilakukan beberapa perbaikan pada siklus II hasil angket mengalami peningkatan menjadi 83,6% yang mana masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Dari hasil angket tersebut motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik telah meningkat dengan pengimplementasian model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Times Game Tournament (TGT).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi pecahan senilai melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran domino pecahan. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV UPT SDN 060879 Medan Timur sebanyak 28 siswa. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media domino pecahan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Pada post-test siklus I, hanya 35,7% siswa yang tuntas, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 92,85%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran domino efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pecahan senilai dan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan dengan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dengan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP N 22 Medan. Dan sampel diambil secara random sampling dimana satu kelas dijadikan sebagai kelas eksperimen I yaitu kelas yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dan satu kelas lagi dijadikan sebagai kelas eksperimen II yaitu kelas yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimental Design). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi dan tes. Uji hipotesis dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dengan kriteria pengujian thitung > ttabel. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh thit 4,562 > ttab 3,063. Dengan demikian H0 ditolak sedangkan Ha diterima, berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan tipe STAD di kelas VIII pada materi sistem organ pada manusia.
