Abstract

Photovoltaic traffic light system is a significant application of renewable energy source. The development of the system is an alternative effort of local authority to reduce expenditure for paying fees to power supplier which the power comes from conventional energy source. Since photovoltaic (PV) modules still have relatively low conversion efficiency, an alternative control of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method is applied to the traffic light system. MPPT is intended to catch up the maximum power at daytime in order to charge the battery at the maximum rate in which the power from the battery is intended to be used at night time or cloudy day. MPPT is actually a DC-DC converter that can step up or down voltage in order to achieve the maximum power using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control. From experiment, we obtained the voltage of operation using MPPT is at 16.454 V, this value has error of 2.6%, if we compared with maximum power point voltage of PV module that is 16.9 V. Based on this result it can be said that this MPPT control works successfully to deliver the power from PV module to battery maximally.

Abstract

A solar-based intelligent water sprinkler system project that has been developed to ensure the effectiveness in watering the plant is improved by making the system automated. The control system consists of an electrical capacitance soil moisture sensor installed into the ground which is interfaced to a controller unit of Motorola 68HC11 Handy board microcontroller. The microcontroller was programmed based on the decision rules made using fuzzy logic approach on when to water the lawn. The whole system is powered up by the solar energy which is then interfaced to a particular type of irrigation timer for plant fertilizing schedule and rain detector through a simple design of rain dual-collector tipping bucket. The controller unit automatically disrupted voltage signals sent to the control valves whenever irrigation was not needed. Using this system we combined the logic implementation in the area of irrigation and weather sensing equipment, and more efficient water delivery can be made possible.

Abstract

 As one of alternative sources of renewable energy, wind energy has an excellence prospect in Indonesia, particularly in coastal and hilly areas which have potential wind to generate electricity for residential uses. There is urgent need to locally develop low cost inverter of wind generator system for residential use. Recent developments in power electronic converters and embedded computing allow improvement of power electronic converter devices that enable integration of microcontrollers in its design. In this project, an inverter circuit with suitable control scheme design was developed. The circuit was to be used with a selected topology of Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) to convert electricity generated by a 500W direct-drive permanent magnet type wind generator which is typical for residential use. From single phase AC output of the generator, a rectifier circuit is designed to convert AC to DC voltage. Then a DC-DC boost converter is used to step up the voltage to a nominal DC voltage suitable for domestic use. The proposed inverter then will convert the DC voltage to sinusoidal AC. The duty cycle of sinusoidal Pulse-Width Modulated (SPWM) signal controlling switches in the inverter was generated by a microcontroller. The lab-scale experimental rig involves simulation of wind generator by running a geared DC motor coupled with 500W wind generator where the prototype circuit was connected at the generator output. The experimental circuit produced single phase 240V sinusoidal AC voltage with frequency of 50Hz. Measured total harmonics distortion (THD) of the voltage across load was 4.0% which is within the limit of 5% as recommended by IEEE Standard 519-1992.

Abstract

Abstract A mobile robot for exploring disaster area in tropical region has been developed. It has capability to travel over a rough irregular terrain within disaster area and capable of performing a range of functions such as collecting samples and capturing images from the disaster scene. Furthermore, the robot is equipped with solar panel for extending the operation rather than relying on rechargeable battery only. Construction of the robot consists of 2 degrees of freedom loory in robot arm, including gripper, wireless camera/ wireless RF controller and electrical controller of photovoltaic system. The robot can be controlled remotely and also has capability to send captured images wirelessly to a designated controller/server. The transmitted live images can also be used to monitor robot movement and allow real time interactions between the operator and the robot.   Abstrak Robot yang mampu menjelajahi lokasi bencana pada daerah tropis sudah dikembangkan. Dia memiliki kemampuan untuk bergerak di tanah yang tidak rata pada suatu daerah bencana serta mampu melakukan tugas seperti mengumpulkan contoh dan mengambil gambar-gambar pada suatu area bencanan. Robot ini selain menggunakan batre yang dapat diisi ulang juga diperlengkapi dengan energy tenaga surya sehingga daya operasinya lebih lama. Pembuatan robot ini menggunakan 2 derajat kebebasan (DOF) yaitu pada lengan robot, termasuk penjepit, kamera tanpa kabel, pengendali Rf dan pengontrol sistem elektrik photovoltaic. Robot bisa dikendalikan dari jarak jauh dan mampu untuk mengirim gambar ke server yang telah ditentukan. pergerakan robot dapat dipantau langsung melalui gambar-gambar yang dikirim dan juga dapat dikendalikan secara real time.

Abstract

Education has developed very rapidly marked by the increase in the quality of education and world knowledge. The Indonesian government is trying to improve the quality of education by issuing a policy of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). This study aims to describe the model for strengthening the role of lecturers and students to improve hard skills and soft skills through MBKM at Bandar Lampung University. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection using observation and documentation techniques. The results showed that the presence of the MBKM activity was a grant of freedom to educational institutions to choose the system of authority needed to create independence from the bureaucracy. With this, it can improve students' hard skills and soft skills: 1) improving soft skills that are more able to appear to interact with communication both verbally and visually effectively based on context, 2) improve soft skills through the competence of the best graduates with integrity and work ethic good and able to adapt to the environment, 3) can analyze the turmoil that occurs in the world of work so that soft skills and hard skills can be further improved, 4) can create innovative and creative works, 5) improve skills in the fields occupied to produce a work competent.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan sumber listrik menjadi salah satu faktor penting yang dapat menunjang kebutuhan operasional, baik di lingkup perkantoran, perumahan, industri ataupun masyarakat. Namun tidak semua kawasan dapat akses listrik secara mudah. Pos Batas security PT. Gula Putih Mataram yang terletak di Kecamatan Bandar Mataram, Lampung Tengah lokasinya berada di antara perkebunan tebu yang jauh dari akses listrik PLN. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, energi surya menjadi salah satu solusi sumber energi terbarukan yang dapat dikonversi menjadi energi listrik. Alat yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sel surya fotovoltaik yang dapat mengkonversikan langsung radiasi sinar matahari menjadi energi listrik. Energi surya tetap dapat dirasakan manfaatnya meskipun malam hari karena pada siang hari energi listrik yang telah dihasilkan dapat disimpan ke baterai yang dikontrol oleh solar charge controller. Hasil pengujian sel surya fotovoltaik yang dipasang terlihat bahwa daya input rata-rata sebesar 3114.37 Watt, daya output rata-rata sebesar 412.67 Watt dan efisiensi modul PV sebesar 13.25%.

Abstract

Provinsi Lampung merupakan daerah dengan penghasil kopi dan jagung tertinggi di Indonesia. Kopi menghasilkan 50 – 60% limbah dan jagung menghasilkan limbah sebanyak 95% dari hasil panen. Beton merupakan jenis material yang banyak digunakan dikehidupan manusia, karena banyaknya penggunaan beton, terdapat aspek yang perlu diperhatikan seperti keawetan dan dampak terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kekuatan mekanik dari limbah kulit kopi dan serat kulit jagung sebagai pengganti agregat atau filler pada beton jenis polimer. Pengujian mekanik yang dilakukan meliputi uji kuat tarik dengan standar ASTM D-3039, uji kuat bending dengan standar ASTM D-7264 dan uji kekerasan dengan standar ASTM D-2240. Hasil tertinggi pada uji tarik yaitu pada spesimen S1 sebesar 587 N dengan perbandingan komposisi 5% pasir : 10% batu apung : 8% kulit kopi : 2% serat kulit jagung : 75% resin polyester. Sedangkan hasil tertinggi uji bending yaitu pada spesimen S3 sebesar 53,61 N dengan perbandingan komposisi 5% pasir : 10% batu apung : 5% kulit kopi : 5% serat kulit jagung :75% resin polyester dan nilai kekerasan tertinggi pada spesimen S1 sebesar 75,5 HD

Abstract

Permasalahan yang muncul adalah pengelolaan data BANSOS dari APBD mempunyai jenis pendukung dan atribut yang berbeda-beda, sehingga perlu adanya tata kelola data yang dapat memantau dan mengelola data terkini yang menghasilkan informasi yang relevan, berharga dan terpercaya, sehingga dalam pengambilan keputusan dapat dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kematangan tata kelola data BANSOS dari APBD dengan menggunakan domain tata kelola data dalam kerangka DAMA-DMBOK. Proses perhitungan analisis GAP menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran tingkat kematangan pengelolaan data BANSOS dengan menggunakan domain tata kelola data, diperoleh hasil secara umum pengelolaan data BANSOS ada pada level 3 atau defined, berarti organisasi memiliki standar proses yang diterapkan secara pasti. Di semua lini. organisasi tetapi tidak menetapkan sasaran kualitas untuk implementasi seluruh tahapantahapan. Temuan-temuan ini memberikan dasar untuk mengidentifikasi analisis kesenjangan dan rekomendasi yang diperlukan untuk desain dan implementasi tata kelola data BANSOS berdasarkan kerangka DAMA-DMBOK di pemerintah tingkat kabupaten

Abstract

This study aims to assess the pointing accuracy of a directional antenna at a ground station using outdated Two-Line Element sets (TLEs) to track an equatorial Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite, LAPAN-A2,  using AGI System Tool Kit (STK) software by analyzing the Azimuth, Elevation, and Time-lapse (AET). Simulations were performed using 1, 3, 6, and 12-month outdated TLEs.  Validation was successfully conducted at the initial work by comparing the orbital parameter data extracted from n2yo.com  to the STK simulation results using an updated TLE. It was found that maximum pointing errors using 1, 3, 6, and 12-month outdated TLEs, respectively, were: for the Azimuth 32º, 38º, 167º, and greater than 173º; for the Elevation: 5º, 8º, 7º, and greater than 73º; for the Time-lapse: 24, 35, 488, and 1052 seconds. It can be argued that the maximum pointing errors for up to the three-month outdated TLE are considered small such that a good communication quality between the ground station with a standard directional antenna could still be feasible. However the results of this study is limited only for a selected location in Central Java province in Indonesia. These findings have important implications for real-time satellite tracking when the ground station location becomes remote and disconnected from the internet network due to certain circumstances, such as natural disasters or other kinds of disruption, in which updating TLEs is not possible for a while.

Abstract

Pelatihan kelistrikan bagi santri di Pondok Pesantren merupakan salah satu upaya penting untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan praktis santri di bidang kelistrikan. Di era modern saat ini, pemahaman tentang kelistrikan tidak hanya dibutuhkan untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari, tetapi juga sebagai penunjang pendidikan dan keselamatan di lingkungan pondok pesantren. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap teknisi luar dengan memberikan kemampuan kepada santri untuk melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan sederhana pada peralatan listrik. Metode pelatihan yang diberikan meliputi pengenalan dasar kelistrikan, teori dan praktik keselamatan kelistrikan, penggunaan alat-alat listrik, serta pemasangan dan perawatan sistem kelistrikan. Melalui pendekatan yang terstruktur ini, santri dapat mengembangkan keterampilan yang relevan dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dalam menangani permasalahan kelistrikan. Selain itu, pelatihan ini juga berkontribusi untuk mengurangi risiko kecelakaan listrik dan meningkatkan kesadaran akan efisiensi energi. Secara keseluruhan, program pelatihan kelistrikan di pondok pesantren tidak hanya memperkaya pengetahuan santri tetapi juga mempersiapkan mereka untuk menghadapi tantangan di dunia kerja yang semakin kompetitif.
