Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth of the effect of religious counseling towards the religious behavioral adaptation of Indonesian migrant in the Netherlands. The study used a case study of twelve Indonesian Muslim migrants in the Netherlands with male and female sex with a religious counselor taken with purposive sampling techniques. The data collection tool used in this study was by interview and in-depth observation. Data analysis techniques using a model of qualitative data analysis Miles Huberman with data reduction steps, display data and draw conclusions. The result of this study showed that the religious counseling played positive roles in the life of Indonesian Muslim migrants group in the Netherlands. Those roles include community life, relationship with Allah and relationship among Islam people. The findings of this study can be a strategy for the counselor in assisting Muslim migrants in a non-muslim country on the behavioral adaptation

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of emotional intelligence and social support with learning achievement in class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Selatan. This study is a non-experimental study with a correlational design to determine the effect of emotion regulation on students' learning achievement. This study proves two hypotheses, first, there is a significant emotional intelligence with an increase in student achievement. Second, there is a significant relationship between social support and an increase in student achievement. This study collected data from 89 students using a random technique from the population of SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Selatan. The data collection instruments used were emotional intelligence questionnaires, social support questionnaires and student achievement documents. The analysis used is more specific, namely simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement with an rxy value of 0.283 plus a p value of 0.013. Furthermore, second hypotheses, there is a significant relationship between social support and an increase in student achievement was rejected with a p value of 0.064 and clarified with an rxy value of 0.212, which means that there is no relationship between social support and increased learning achievement. The results of this study can be used as a reference to determine the right way to deal with students' academic and problems with guidance and counseling that is fun to maximize emotional intelligence, social support and student achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the comparison between Islamic counseling and Western psychotherapy from theoretical and practical perspectives in supporting the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of individuals. Using a literature review approach, relevant sources such as scientific articles, books, and academic publications that examine the concepts, methods, and applications of both approaches are analyzed. Islamic counseling is rooted in spiritual values derived from revelation (Al-Qur'an and Hadith), employing techniques such as muraqaba, dhikr, prayer, and spiritual reflection. This approach offers holistic solutions that are relevant to Muslim individuals, particularly in cultural and religious contexts. Conversely, Western psychotherapy is based on the principles of empiricism and humanism, focusing on the development of individual potential and adaptation to psychological challenges through scientific methods such as psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. Despite fundamental differences in philosophy and methods, both approaches share the same goal of enhancing individual well-being. This study also identifies the potential for integrating these two approaches by combining the spiritual strengths of Islamic counseling with the scientific framework of Western psychotherapy to create more inclusive and holistic solutions. Such integration is relevant in modern pluralistic societies to address complex issues such as anxiety, depression, and identity disorders while respecting clients' spiritual and cultural values format.

Abstract

Procrastination can cause significant problems and disrupt the education systems of high school students, including those at State Senior High School 1 Ngaglik. This study examines the influence of democratic parenting and self-regulated learning on students academic procrastination. We performed this quantitative study using a cluster-random sampling technique. Three measurement tools were used: academic procrastination scale, democratic parenting scale, and self-regulated learning scale. In total, 86 participants completed the survey. Data analysis used analyze multiple regression on SPSS. The findings support our initial hypothesis that democratic parenting and self-regulated learning significantly influence academic procrastination. However, the coefficient value of democratic parenting styles influence on academic procrastination was greater than 0.01 (0.245), indicating that the first minor hypothesis is unsupported. The subsequent minor hypothesis testing shows a coefficient value of -0.366 0.01, indicating that self-regulated learning has a significant positive influence on academic procrastination. This finding becomes the basis for explaining how self-regulated learning could contribute to lowering students academic procrastination. Increasing self-regulated learning behavior could motivate students to improve their cognitive and problem-solving skills. We believe that the findings from this research still require more exploration from future studies.

Abstract

Full day school with a curriculum that integrates Islamic values has a solid activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adversity quotient (AQ), self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning on the learning achievement. This research was conducted at the Nur Hidayah Integrated Islamic High School, Sukoharjo. The subjects of this study were 102 students of class XI MIPA from a population of 195 people. The research sample was taken using simple random sampling technique. Data collection used the AQ scale, self-efficacy scale, self-regulated learning scale, and secondary data in the form of report card value data documents issued by schools. The data of this research were analyzed using linear regression analysis techniques which began with the assumption test including normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The results showed that as many as four proposed hypotheses were accepted. First, there is a significant effect between AQ, self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning simultaneously on learning achievement. Second, there is a significant effect of AQ on student learning achievement. Third, there is a significant effect of self-efficacy on learning achievement. Fourth, there is a significant effect of self-regulated learning on learning achievement.

Abstract

The books available can be said to be good, but there are still many teachers who have difficulty conveying the material to elementary school students. Many teachers also do not pay attention to children's cognitive development, so that mathematics learning is less enjoyable and students are less motivated. With the development of this Mathematics Teacher's Guidebook, it makes it easier for teachers to explain concepts from mathematics material. The aim of this research is to create a Grade 3 Mathematics Teacher's Guidebook, as well as determine the feasibility of the Mathematics Teacher's Guidebook. This research uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The instruments used in this research are the results of observations, teaching reflections, tests, questionnaires, Learning Implementation Plans (RPP). Qualitative data analysis techniques by reducing data refer to selecting, focusing, simplifying, abstracting and transforming "raw data" that occurs in written field notes. For quantitative data analysis, the population of grade 3 SD Muhammadiyah Warungboto Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques use tests. The quantitative data analysis technique uses the Wilcoxon Test. The assessment carried out by lecturers and teachers on the book is in the very good category, meaning it is suitable for use in elementary mathematics learning. Teachers are easy to convey the material so that elementary school students no longer experience difficulties in understanding concepts in Mathematics lessons. Keywords: Books, Mathematics, cognition

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran Persepsi Pendidik pada E-Learning dan Penerapan E-Learning Terhadap Kinerja Pendidik Di Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasinya adalah Sejumlah 123 orang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 51 orang dengan metode purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan berupa skala persepsi pendidik, penerapan e-learning, dan kinerja pendidik. Pengujian Instrumen dilakukan spss 23 dengan dua macam Uji yaitu Uji Validitas dengan Product Moment dan Reliabilitas dengan Alpha Cronbach’s. Pada hipotesis mayor diketahui nilai signifikasi dalam uji F sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Koefisien Determinasi atau R Square Sebesar 0,639 yang artinya Persepsi Pendidik pada E-learning dan Penerapan E-learning secara simultan atau bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja Pendidik sebesar 63,9%. Pada hipotesis minor diketahui nilai signifikasi dalam uji F sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Koefisien Determinasi atau R Square Sebesar 0,276 yang artinya pengaruh persepsi pendidik pada E-learning terhadap kinerja pendidik sebesar 27,6%. Kesimpulan persepsi pendidik pada E-learning (X1) dan penerapan E-Learning (X2) secara simultan atau bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja Pendidik. Kesimpulan berikutnya bahwa persepsi pendidik pada E-Learning (X1) berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pendidik (Y).Kata Kunci: Kinerja Pendidik; Penerapan E-Learning; Persepsi Pendidik pada E-Learning

Abstract

Pendidikan yaitu suatu proses pembelajaran yang berjalan sepanjang hidup. Tiap pelajar pasti mau memperoleh prestasi belajar memuaskan. Namun, untuk mendapatkan prestasi tersebut tidaklah mudah, beberapa faktor yang bisa mempengaruhi prestasi belajar salah satunya yaitu kebiasaan belajar yang baik adalah kunci utama untuk mendapatkan prestasi akademik yang baik, lantaran dapat membuat situasi belajar yang mendukung. Semakin tinggi penguasaan materi pada suatu mata pelajaran sehingga prestasi belajar juga akan semakin tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah benar kebiasaan belajar mempengaruhi prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini memakai metode pendekatan kuantitatif, didapatkan hasil bahwa kebiasaan belajar menjadi salah satu faktor prestasi belajar pada siswa dan pengaruhnya cukup signifikan.

Abstract

Masa remaja menjadi masa yang unik dan dipenuhi berbagai macam fenomena, salah satunya adalah terkait penerimaan diri. Penerimaan diri pada remaja tentunya berkaitan erat dengan pengelolaan emosi. Banyak remaja yang tidak mampu menerima diri akibat rendahnya kemampuan mengelola emosi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Denpasar ditemukan fenomena-fenomena terkait penerimaan diri dan rendahnya pengelolaan emosi, sehingga dilaksanakan program Psikoedukasi sebagai bentuk dukungan kepada sekolah dan siswa-siswi yang ada. Psikoedukasi ini tersusun dalam berbagai kegiatan yang menarik serta pemberian materi dan penjelasan serta diskusi di setiap sesinya. Psikoedukasi yang dilakukan selama 2 hari dengan memberikan 4 tema yakni, Mengenali Diri, Penerimaan Diri, Mengenali Emosi dan Cara Mengelola Emosi. Kegiatan Psikoedukasi ini diikuti oleh 40 siswa siswi yang merupakan perwakilan dari setiap kelas X dan XI, beserta didampingi oleh 2 guru BK.

Abstract

Every person has the power to flourish by maximizing all his or her abilities to obtain a quality and prosperous life—including away-from-home students. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the flourishing of Nias students in the city of Yogyakarta. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological perspective. The sampling technique used was purposive. Six male away-from-home students were involved, and the inclusion criteria were: 1) participants are from the Nias area; 2) can communicate well; 3) have lived in a boarding house in Yogyakarta for at least one year; 4) have entered at least third semester; 5) aged 18–25 years; 6) willing to be a research participant, as evidenced by a research informed-consent sheet. Data were collected by observation and in-depth interviews with the research sample. Furthermore, this data will be analyzed using content analysis. Nias students who face new environments develop characteristics of positive emotions, engagement, and positive relations in adapting to new environments. Nias students flourish in unfamiliar contexts with family and community support, enabling them to thrive there. Keywords: flourishing; overseas, student
