Abstract

Pada periode Year to Date 2022, pencapaian Productivity PC2000 hanya 719 bcm/hm dan HD785-7 232 bcm/hm.km.

Abstract

This study aims to show the effectiveness of the communication styles of Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) and Ustadz Adi Hidayat (UAH) through the lens of Aristotle’s persuasion theory, as well as to compare both based on the concepts of ethos, pathos, and logos. Adopting a constructivist paradigm, the study employs a communication and sermon science approach, utilizing a case study method. Data was collected through a review of digital media documentation and analyzed inductively using a thematic approach, including data coding, theme identification, and narrative construction. The findings reveal that UAS is more straightforward and simple in terms of logos in delivering its message, while UAH adopts a more analytical and comprehensive approach. Regarding pathos, UAS engages the audience emotionally through humor and light-hearted stories, while UAH encourages deeper reflection with real-life examples. Regarding ethos, both Ustadz holds high credibility, with UAS being perceived as more approachable, while UAH is seen as more academic. UAS’s communication style is more effective for a broad audience, utilizing an interactive and simple approach. In contrast, UAH’s style is more effective for an audience seeking in-depth understanding through an academic and introspective approach.

Abstract

The 21st century is marked by a wave of major changes in various aspects of life, including in the field of education. Amid the rapid development of digital technology, Islamic education faces challenges as well as great opportunities to make relevant and transformative reforms. This article discusses the importance of revitalizing the modern movement in Islam as a foundation in the process of educational reform, especially in responding to the needs of the digital generation. The modern movement in Islam, which since the early 19th century until now has emphasized rationality, renewal of thought, ijtihad, and adaptation to the development of the times, has a strategic role in encouraging a more open, inclusive, and future-oriented education system. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and literature review, this article examines how the basic principles of the modern movement can be used as a basis for developing an Islamic education model that is responsive to the digital era, without losing the values of Islamic spirituality and ethics. The results of the study show that the synergy between modern Islamic thought and digital innovation can produce an Islamic education system that is progressive, adaptive, and deeply rooted in the tradition of Islamic knowledge. Thus, the revitalization of the modern movement in Islam is not only a historical discourse, but also a strategic path in preparing a generation of Muslims who are intelligent, critical, and globally competitive in the midst of the world's digitalization

Abstract

In Indonesia's increasingly digital religious landscape, online da'wah has become a key agent in influencing public reasoning and civic engagement. This research aims to provide digital da'wah with the potential to be a transformational force in shaping a more critical, open, and active Muslim society in democratic socio-political life. Using a quantitative approach, as many as 100 respondents were randomly selected to fill out a validated questionnaire. The results of statistical analysis showed a significant positive relationship between digital da'wah and the formation of critical and democratic thinking, with a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.602 (p < 0.01). Simple linear regression analysis showed that digital da'wah significantly predicted the formation of critical and democratic thinking, with a regression coefficient value of β = 0.547 and a significance of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). The R² value of 0.363 indicates that 36.3% of the variation in critical thinking and democratic attitudes can be explained by the digital da'wah variable. These findings confirm that digital da'wah not only plays a role as a medium for the dissemination of religious values, but also as a means of forming critical thinking awareness and involvement in the democratic process in Indonesian society.

Abstract

Among Muslims the term amar makruf nahi mungkar (promoting good and preventing vice) is frequently used as a kind of motto for lslamic dakwah. This term has been studied by a good number of Islamic scholars-both classical and contemporary including Ibn Taymiyah in his work amar makruf nahi mungkar. The Mu'tazilites interpreted it to fall within the category of al-Ushul al-Khamsah, (the five principles of belief). In fact, for the Mu'tazilites the doctrine of amar makruf nahi mungkar is held to be a part of faith, to the point that amar makruf nahi mungkar must be enforced when necessary. Because of this, theological groups in the past have resorted to acts of violence in carrying out their duty of amar makruf nahi mungkar, even though this is done only as a last resort when there are no other means.DOI: 10.15408/sdi.v14i2.550

Abstract

In the history of Indonesian politics, the institutionalization of the presidential system has experienced ups and downs. The presidential system has had its own style and character under each regime. The main factor behind this relates to the varying nature of the political systems and patterns of leadership. Since the reformasi era and the amendment of the 1945 Constitution, however, the system has experienced a ‘purification’. During the period of president Habibie, the system was not implemented thoroughly, because of the transitional nature of the government. The embryo of a presidential system begun to emerge with the 1999 general election. The purification was marked by two fundamental changes. Firstly, there was the strengthening between the legislative and the executive. Secondly, there was the restriction of the period in which a president could only be elected for two periods. With these amendments, the opportunities open to an incumbent president during the reformasi era have been restricted by the law. The presidential term makes the periods for presidents and vice-presidents more fixed.DOI: 10.15408/sdi.v21i2.1041

Abstract

This research aims to adopt a spatial finance approach to hajj fund sustainability by finding the factors that influenced it during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research involved GRDP, Household Consumption, COVID-19 Cases, Islamic Banking Office Network, and Religiosity Index as exogenous variables with secondary data in 2020. This research uses Spatial Autoregressive Model analysis and Local Indicators of Spatial Autocorrelation through Spatial Rate Analysis to predict spillover effects. Research findings show that the Religiosity Index and Office Network have a spatial effect on Hajj funds. In addition, the provinces of East Java and Central Java are predicted to have a strong potential to have a spillover effect and affect the surrounding areas to increase the sustainable growth of the Hajj fund.

Abstract

This research investigates the diplomatic correspondence between the Acehnese Sultanate and the Ottoman Empire during the 16th century, shedding light on the transregional alliances that shaped geopolitical dynamics in Southeast Asia. The study employs a structured historical methodology, encompassing heuristics (data collection), verification (authentication of sources and authors), interpretation (critical analysis), and historiography (historical synthesis). The findings reveal a series of preserved letters in the Ottoman archives, documenting official communications during the reign of Sultan Alauddin al-Kahar of Aceh, notably, correspondence with Ottoman rulers Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and Sultan Selim II highlights Aceh’s strategic efforts to secure Ottoman support against Portuguese expansion in the Indian Ocean. Sultan Alauddin al-Kahar’s letters detail three primary requests: formally recognizing Aceh as an Ottoman vassal state, military assistance including cannon makers, naval vessels, and fortification materials, and the dispatch of military advisors and trainers. The records further confirm that the Ottoman Empire responded positively, demonstrating a willingness to assist Aceh, reflecting shared interests in countering Portuguese influence. This study contributes to a nuanced understanding of early modern diplomacy and the interconnected nature of political and military networks across the Indian Ocean, emphasizing the Ottoman Empire’s pivotal role in supporting regional powers like Aceh.
