Abstract

During this time the cooperative performance measurement is done by conventional financial terms based on financial statements, profitability, liquidity and solvency (RLS) as well as the implementation of the budget. This study aims to determine the performance and feasibility of KSP / USP- Cooperative as a recipient of a revolving fund P3KUM and want to know the impact of the implementation of the cooperative program P3KUM dealer. The aspect that is evaluated in terms of organizations and institutions that include; (1) The vision and mission, (2) Legality of business entities, (3) The cooperative structure, (4) Management organization (5) Human Resources Development (HRD), (6) Finance, (7) Infrastructures. The method used is the Cooperative Capacity Assessment (CCA). Respondents in this study is a cooperative that had received funds P3KUM, already incorporated and has implemented the Annual Member Meeting in 2010 and has a complete cooperative (management and members of the cooperative). From the results of this study concluded that of the 25 cooperative respondents, 20% co-operatives have a good performance appraisal at all and 80% are good .. The better the performance of which is owned by a cooperative, the more worthy of him as a funding channel P3KUM program. Feasibility is very important to ensure the success of the program P3KUM. However, the necessary guidance and supervision of the relevant authorities, so that the existence of the program run effectively and efficiently.Selama ini pengukuran kinerja koperasi dilakukan dengan cara konvensional yaitu dari segi keuangan berdasarkan laporan keuangan, rentabilitas, likuiditas dan solvabilitas (RLS) serta pelaksanaan anggaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja dan kelayakan usaha KSP/ USP- Koperasi sebagai penerima dana bergulir P3KUM dan ingin mengetahui dampak pelaksanaan program P3KUM terhadap koperasi penyalur. Adapun aspek yang dievaluasi adalah dari sisi organisasi dan kelembagaan yang meliputi; (1) Visi dan misi, (2) Legalitas badan usaha, (3) Struktur koperasi, (4) Manajemen organisasi (5) Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), (6) Keuangan, (7) Sarana dan Prasarana. Metode yang digunakan adalah Cooperative Capacity Assessment (CCA). Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah koperasi yang pernah menerima dana P3KUM, sudah berbadan hukum dan sudah melaksanakan Rapat Anggota Tahunan pada tahun 2010 serta memiliki kelengkapan koperasi (pengurus dan anggota koperasi). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari 25 koperasi yang menjadi responden, 20% koperasi memiliki penilaian kinerja yang baik sekali dan 80% lainnya baik.. Semakin baik kinerja yang dimiliki oleh sebuah koperasi, maka akan semakin layak dia sebagai penyalur dana progam P3KUM. Kelayakan usaha ini sangat penting untuk menjamin keberhasilan dari program P3KUM. Meski demikian, diperlukan pembinaan dan pengawasan dari aparat terkait, supaya keberadaan program berjalan efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Mapping industry and need assessement are the first steps for developing the industrial sector. This study aims to describe the performance of the industry, prepare the map of industrial development potency and identify the need assessement on industries in Sub Gunungpati. The data was obtained from the survey by spreading questionnaires and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The descriptive statistical analysis is used in this study. The result shows that there are 12 types of industries in the Village Gunungpati. However, most of these industries do not have a good management of the business eventhough they have been running their industries for a long time. It can be seen from several aspects, such as accounting and finance, production and marketing. Every type of industry has different condition and distribution. There is only one type of industry which form a large cluster; it is the industries that produce red bricks in Ngrembel. Finally, the result of need assessment shows that trainings on administrative records, financial report, innovation on production machines, packaging, marketing, obtaining raw materials, waste management are needed to increase the business capacity. Pemetaan industri dan need assessement merupakan langkah awal dalam pengembangan sektor industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan performance industri, menyusun peta potensi pengembangan industri dan mengidentifikasi need assessement pada industri-industri di Kelurahan Gunungpati. Data diperoleh dari metode survey dengan kuisioner dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis deskriptif statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada 12 jenis industri di Kelurahan Gunungpati. Meski sudah berdiri lama, mayoritas industri- industri tersebut belum memiliki manajemen pengelolaan usaha yang baik. Ini dapat dilihat dari beberapa aspek, antara lain aspek pembukuan dan keuangan, produksi dan pemasaran. Setiap jenis industri memiliki kondisi dan sebaran yang berbeda-beda. Hanya ada satu jenis industri yang membentuk cluster besar yaitu industri pembuatan bata merah di daerah Ngrembel. Hasil need assessment menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pencatatan administrasi, pelatihan penulisan laporan keuangan, inovasi alat produksi, pelatihan teknik pengemasan, pelatihan teknik pemasaran, kemudahan memperoleh bahan baku, dan pengelolaan limbah produksi dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas usaha.

Unluckily, the price of the commodity drops significantly. In other words, it costs  extremely cheap. The purpose of research is analyzing the internal and external factors and determining an appropriate strategy for developing rambutan in Central Java, especially at Gunungpati District, Semarang, Central Java Province. The primary data of this research is obtained from 58 rambutan farmers that have been interviewed and have filled out the questionnaire forms. The secondary data is taken from the Central Bureau of Statistics, the monograph of the village and the internet by implementing the literature study method. Then, SWOT analysis is implemented for analizing the data. The internal factors that become the strengths are fertilized land for rambutan to grow and the farmers’ hereditary experiences in cultivating rambutan. Further, the lack of absorbing power of knowledge and technologies and the low existence of rambutan business are the weaknesses. Next, the external factor that becomes opportunity is the continuous increasing market demand, while the threat is the young generations having no interest in rambutan business. Finally, the stability (hold and maintain) strategy should be implemented for developing rambutan business

Abstract

The wage have impacts on poverty, living standards and the incentive to improve labor productivity (human capital), in particular, for economic growth. Regional decentralization has implications, which, they must be developed regional endowment to get the efficiency in production process. So it is interesting to examine the importance of regional characteristics in the observed variability of regional wage in Indonesia. Based on this idea, the objective of this study is to examine the contribution of regional characteristics to the regional wage differential in Indonesia. Data supplied by the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics during 2003 – 2007. In this study used 3 model; Ordinary Least Square (OLS), Co-Varian Model and Generalized Least Squared (GLS). Then, the most effective model based on the smallest standard error was chosen to estimate regional characteristics in the observed variability of regional wage inIndonesia. The result showed that the regional characteristics, particularly skilled or unskilled labor, play an important role in determining the wage differentials in region. The empirical evidence presented that regional economic growth and the existing of high skilled labor in labor market have positive impact toward spatial wage. Then, skilled labor and unskilled will give negative influence in regional wage. The points out is laboring existence with level education or skilled level, despite not works or was working have influence toward the regional wage. Therefore, labors policy is expected gets focused on given specialization corresponds to that region characteristics.

Abstract

The huge number of rambutan plants in Gunungpati has resulted in the decline of rambutan sales price during harvest season, i.e. Rp 1,500.00 per pack, any unsold rambutan tends to immediately wilt, break and deteriorate. This research is aimed to the sequence of commodity processing priority in order to increase the product’s value-added. This study is an action research, using descriptive statistic and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results indicate that a counseling since production until post-harvest becomes the highest priority, followed by produce sorting, and availability of produce processing technology. It is necessary to have practical field-based initiatives of businesses farmers who have managed to do the innovations, competitive advantage, and then to rise the competitiveness. To make this value-added-based horticulture commodity processing system work, Government role is required to guiding and evaluating every policy priorities.

Abstract

The regional autonomy positively impacts regional development in terms of competitiveness. Each area tries to have advantage from other areas. One of the parameters of city competitiveness is the concept of sustainable cities. This study aims to identify cities based on sustainable urban development indices in six urban agglomeration area of Semarang: Semarang city, Semarang regency, Kendal regency, Grobogan regency, Demak regency and Salatiga city. Methods of data collection with questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Respondents in this study were the general public, policy makers, and academics. The results showed, based on the sustainable urban development index of the Sustainable Urban Development Indonesia Forum, six districts in urban agglomeration area of Semarang are categorized as less sustainable in 2016. The regencies in the urban agglomeration areas of Semarang indicate the index result of 103,00 - 127,83. The average contribution of the urban leadership, the urban governance, the urbanization and population, the housing and settlements variables are high, while the disaster risk and the climate change, the waterfront areas, the mass transportation, the local economy and informal sector, the preservation of cultural Heritage, the natural heritage and the local Wisdom, the green Open Spaces, the emissions and energy variable are still low.
