Abstract

Computational thinking skills (CTS) play a crucial role across diverse domains, involving a thinking process that allows the execution of solutions by information processing agents. Measuring the level of CTS becomes essential to ensure that administrators effectively leverage technology. However, finding suitable instruments to measure and justify CTS levels in administration can be challenging. The selection of situational judgement test (SJT) is supported by its validity and reliability in assessing attributes, including professionalism. The instrument’s development includes face validity, discriminant validity (using Pearson correlation and Cronbach’s alpha), and exploratory factor analysis (EFA). The study involved 111 undergraduate administration students from various Indonesian universities, and data were collected in 2023. Following a discriminant validity analysis, ten items were eliminated, while 23 met the criteria with p0.185. Subsequently, EFA yielded 16 items forming seven components, covering algorithmic thinking, problem-solving, technology literacy, problem abstraction, problem reformulation, data management in administration technology, and administrative data presentation with loading factor variations (0.421-0.868). The final instrument, consisting of 16 valid items and seven components, effectively evaluates the level of administrator computational thinking skills (ACTS) among administration students.

Abstract

The competence of educational staff in information technology is essential to finishing a job at a university. Good information technology competence can help them complete the work faster and more effectively. This study investigates the influence of communication competence and education level on work productivity at Sebelas Maret University. Two hundred ten respondents were involved, consisting of 125 male and 85 female staff. Pearson correlation is used for validation, and Cronbach's alpha is used for reliability tests. All items are valid and reliable (α =.05.) The data were analyzed using multiple linear regressions. The result shows that simultaneously, the two independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable (F = 9.63, p <.05). Information technology competence has a significant effect on work productivity (t = 4.64, p <.05). Education level has a significant effect on work productivity (t = 2.48, p <.05). Generally, it can be concluded that the information technology competence and educational level of staff affect work productivity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Mind Mapping untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran mind mapping dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siklus pertama memperoleh capaian sebesar 48% peserta didik yang lulus dengan nilai rata-rata kelas adalah 80,65. Hal ini menunjukkan kenaikan sebesar 26% bila dibandingkan dengan tes pratindakan dimana capaian peserta didik yang lulus adalah sebesar 22% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas adalah 70,65. Kemudian pada siklus kedua kembali terjadi peningkatan dan mampu melampaui target capaian yang diharapkan dimana sebesar 78% peserta didik dinyatakan lulus dan nilai rata-rata kelas adalah sebesar 91,3. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran mind mapping dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.  Kata kunci: mind mapping; kemampuan berpikir kritis; covid-19; pembelajaran daring; zoom meeting  Abstract: Application of Mind Mapping Learning Model to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Abilities. This study aims to determine whether the application of the mind mapping learning model can improve students' critical thinking abilities. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) in 2 cycles. The result of this study showed that the critical thinking ability test in the first cycle obtained an achievement of 48% of students who passed with an average grade was 80.65. this shown an increase of 26% when compares to the pre-action test where the achievement of students who passed was 22% with an average grade was 70.65. then in the second cycle there was an increase again and was able to exceed the expected achievement target where 78% of students passed and the class average was 91.3. based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that mind mapping learning model can improve students' critical thinking abilities.  Keyword: mind mapping; critical thinking abilities; covid-19; online learning; zoom meeting

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine: (1) the influence of practical field work experience on the work readiness of students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono, (2) the influence of employability skills on the work readiness of students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono, (3) the influence of practical field work experience and Employability skills on work readiness of students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. This research is a type of research using quantitative methods. The research sample was class XII students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono obtained using a simple random sampling technique, and the sample obtained was 187 students. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The research results show that there is (1) a positive and significant influence between practical field work experience on work readiness with the regression line equation Ŷ = 4.982 + 0.285X1 with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.653 and an effective contribution of 18.4%, (2) a positive and significant influence between employability skills on work readiness with the regression line equation Ŷ = 4.982 + 0.672X2 with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.653 and an effective contribution of 47.59%, (3) a positive and significant influence between practical experience field work and employability skills on work readiness based on the regression line equation Ŷ = 4.982 + 0.285X1 + 0.672X2, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.653 and the effective contribution given jointly is 65.7% while the remaining 34.3% explained by other variables that are not in this study.

Abstract

Background: The integration of AI-powered PowerPoint in education offers promising opportunities for enhancing teaching effectiveness, yet many vocational teachers face challenges in implementing this technology due to limited training and technical support. Contribution: This study contributes to the educational community by providing a practical framework for integrating AI-powered tools in vocational education, thereby enhancing teachers' technical skills and supporting sustainable technological adoption. Method: Using a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, twenty office administration teachers participated in an 8-hour training program. Data were collected through validated instruments measuring three indicators: training reaction, training facilities and materials, and expected behavioral changes. Results: Paired-sample t-tests revealed highly significant improvements in expected behavioral changes (t (19) = -4.501, p < 0.001) and training facilities perception (t (19) = -2.594, p = 0.018), although training reaction showed no significant change (t (19) = -1.628, p = 0.120). Conclusion: These findings suggest that intensive, well-structured training programs can effectively promote AI-powered PowerPoint adoption in vocational education, particularly in developing technical skills and implementation intentions. Educational institutions should consider implementing similar training programs while maintaining long-term support structures to reinforce learning and facilitate sustained technological integration.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui penerapan SRIKANDI di Sekretariat Daerah Kota Surakarta, (2) mengetahui faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat SRIKANDI di Sekretariat Daerah Kota Surakarta, dan (3) Mengetahui strategi untuk mengatasi faktor penghambat dalam menggunakan SRIKANDI di Sekretariat Daerah Kota Surakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini meliputi sumber data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Teknik uji validitas data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif. Hasil dari penelitian ini antara lain (1) Penerapan SRIKANDI di Sekretariat Daerah Kota Surakarta meliputi: a)penciptaan arsip, b)penggunaan arsip, c)pemeliharaan arsip, dan d)penyusutan arsip. (2)Faktor pendukung dan penghambat Srikandi yaitu a)SRIKANDI lebih efektif, b)sudah tersedia sarana dan prasarana, dan c) mendapat dukungan dari berbagai pihak. (3)Strategi untuk mengatasi faktor penghambat adalah a) penguatan jaringan internet, b) pendampingan penggunaan SRIKANDI dan c) koordinasi dengan Diskominfo untuk perbaikan sistem. Penerapan aplikasi SRIKANDI sudah berjalan baik tetapi belum optimal, karena belum seperti yang diharapkan dan masih terdapat permasalahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa 2) mengerahui ada tidaknya pengaru lingkungan teman sebaya terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa 3) mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh self-efficacy dan lingkungan teman sebaya terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis kausal yaitu pendekatan dalam penelitian untuk mencari hubungan antar satu variabel dengan variabel lain yang memiliki sebab akibat. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa jurusan Manajemen Perkantoran dan Layanan Bisnis SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu metode probability sampling dengan jenis stratified proportionate random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode angket/kuesioner menggunakan skala pengukuran skala likert. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua jenis variabel yaitu 1) variabel bebas: self-efficacy (X1) dan lingkungan teman sebaya (X2), 2) variabel terikat: kemandirian belajar siswa (Y). Hasil uji hipotesis dengan analisis regresi linier berganda memiliki persamaan Ŷ = 15,318 + 0,599X1 + 0,211X2 yang menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan self-efficacy terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa dibuktikan dengan hasil uji t yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000<0,05 dan nilai thitung sebesar 8,532 > ttabel 1,97743; 2) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan lingkungan teman sebaya terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa yang dibuktikan pada hasil uji t yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,009 < 0,05 dan nilai thitung sebesar 2,663 > ttabel 1,97743; 3) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan self-efficacy dan lingkungan teman sebaya secara bersama-sama terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa yang dibuktikan dengan hasil uji F yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan Fhitung sebesar 55,786 > Ftabel 3,0622. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial dan simultan self-efficacy dan lingkungan teman sebaya berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh tata ruang kantor terhadap kinerja pegawai BKPSDM Kota Surakarta, (2) mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh fasilitas kantor terhadap kinerja pegawai BKPSDM Kota Surakarta, (3) mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh tata ruang kantor dan fasilitas kantor terhadap kinerja pegawai BKPSDM Kota Surakarta. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif sampel dari penelitian ini sebanyak jumlah populasi penelitian yaitu sebanyak 50 pegawai yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik non probability sampling dan menggunakan pendekatan sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu Angket atau kuesioner. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Terdapat pengaruh secara positif dan signifikan antara tata ruang kantor terhadap kinerja pegawai BKPSDM Kota Surakarta dilihat dari nilai thitung 5,076 > ttabel 2,011 dengan nilai signifikasi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05; 2) Terdapat pengaruh secara positif dan signifikan antara fasilitas kantor terhadap kinerja pegawai BKPSDM Kota Surakarta dilihat dari nilai thitung 2,519 > ttabel 2,011 dengan nilai signifikasi sebesar 0,015 < 0,05; 3) Terdapat pengaruh secara positif dan signifikan secara bersama-sama antara tata ruang kantor dan fasilitas kantor terhadap kinerja peagawai BKPSDM Kota Surakarta dilihat dari Fhitung 22,811 > Ftabel 3,20 dengan nilai signifikasi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05.

Abstract

 The Effect of Digital Literacy and Self Efficacy on the Job Readiness of FKIP UNS Office Administration Education Students. Objectives: This study aims to (1) determine the influence of digital literacy on the job readiness of FKIP UNS Office Administration Education students, class of 2021, (2) assess the impact of self-efficacy on the readiness to become teachers among FKIP UNS Office Administration Education students, class of 2020, and (3) evaluate the combined effect of digital literacy and self-efficacy on the job readiness of FKIP UNS Office Administration Education students, class of 2021. Methods: This quantitative study involved a saturated sampling technique, including all 84 students from the Office Administration Education Study Program, class of 2021. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using linear regression with IBM SPSS software version 25. Findings: The results indicate that (1) digital literacy significantly influences job readiness, as evidenced by a t-value of 2.526, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.996, (2) self-efficacy also significantly impacts job readiness, with a t-value of 11.892, surpassing the t-table value of 1.996, and (3) digital literacy and self-efficacy jointly have a significant effect on job readiness, as demonstrated by an F-value of 148.801, exceeding the F-table value of 3.12.Conclusion: The study concludes that both digital literacy and self-efficacy positively and significantly contribute to the job readiness of students.
