Abstract

The purpose o this study to determine the effect of (1) the variable self-confidence on the ability to speak in public (public speaking), (2) the variable organizational activeness on the ability to speak in public (public speaking), (3) the variable self-confidence and activeness organization towards public speaking skills. This research was carried out at the Office Administration Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University. This research is quantitative research with correlational methods. The population in this study was students from the class of 2020 and 2021, totaling 158 people with a total research sample of 113 people. The sample in this research was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used is through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis techniques with the help of the SPSS 25.0 for window program. The research results show that: (1) there is a positive and significant effect of the self-confidence variable on public speaking skills as evidenced by a significance value of 0,00 < 0,05 and a tvalue 11,399 > ttable 1,98177; (2) there is a positive and significant effect of the organizational activity variable on public speaking skills as evidenced by a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05 and a tvalue 3,929 > ttable 1,98177; (3) there is a positive and significant effect of the self-confidence variable on public speaking skills as evidenced by a significance value of 0,00 < 0,05 and an Fvalue of 68,101 > Ftable 3,0788. The research results show that the collective effective contribution is 55,3% and the remaining 44,7% is influenced by other variables not included in this research. Thus, the overall results of this analysis support the proposed hypothesis.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) determine the influence of students' perceptions of e-books on student learning outcomes (2) determine the influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes (3) determine the influence of students' perceptions of e-books and learning motivation together on outcomes student learning. This research is a quantitative study with a population of 71 class XI MPLB students taking KMPLB subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Karanganyar. As for the sample, a sampling technique was used, namely a non-probability sampling technique with a saturated sample method. Data collection was carried out by distributing research questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses the multiple linear regression analysis method with the help of IBM spss version 23 software. The research results prove that: (1) there is a positive and significant influence on student perceptions of e-books on student learning outcomes. This is proven by the value of tcount (2.887) > ttable (1.995) and the significance value (2) that there is a positive and significant influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes. This is proven by the value of tcount (5.599) > ttable (1.995) and the significance value (3) that there is a positive and significant influence on students' perceptions of e-books and learning motivation together on student learning outcomes. This is proven by Fcount (56.291) > Ftable (3.130). The results of this study show that the effective contribution value collectively is , while the remaining amount is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Knowing the effect of Teacher Pedagogical Competence on Learning Interest of Grade XI Students in the Department of Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering, Industrial Mechanical Engineering, and Fashion Management of SMK Penda 2 Karanganyar. 2) Knowing the effect of Learning Facilities on Learning Interest of grade XI students in the Department of Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering, Industrial Mechanical Engineering, and Clothing Layout of SMK Penda 2 Karanganyar, and 3) Knowing the effect of Teacher Pedagogical Competence and Learning Facilities together (simultaneously) on Learning Interest of grade XI students in the Department of Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering, Industrial Mechanical Engineering, and Clothing Layout of SMK Penda 2 Karanganyar. This research is a correlational quantitative research. The population in this study were grade XI students in the TKRO, TMI, and TB Departments of SMK Penda 2. The sampling technique was carried out by simple random sampling with a total sample of 211 students. Data collection was done by observation, questionnaire, and interview. The validity and reliability test technique used in this study used the help of SPSS 25. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis with the IBM SPSS 25 program. The results showed that: 1) There is a positive and significant effect of teacher pedagogical competence on learning interest. This has been proven by tcount> ttable (1.982> 1.971). From these data it can be said that (H0) is rejected and (H1) is accepted. 2) There is a positive and significant effect of learning facilities on interest in learning. This is evidenced by thitung>ttabel (2.275>1.971). From these data it can be said that (H0) is rejected and (H2) is accepted. 3) There is a positive and significant effect of teacher pedagogical competence and learning facilities together on interest in learning, this is evidenced by Fcount>Ftabel (3.886>2.110) with a significance level of 0.022 <0.05. From these data it can be said that (H0) is rejected and (H3) is accepted.

Abstract

Computational thinking skills (CTS) play a crucial role across diverse domains, involving a thinking process that allows the execution of solutions by information processing agents. Measuring the level of CTS becomes essential to ensure that administrators effectively leverage technology. However, finding suitable instruments to measure and justify CTS levels in administration can be challenging. The selection of situational judgement test (SJT) is supported by its validity and reliability in assessing attributes, including professionalism. The instrument’s development includes face validity, discriminant validity (using Pearson correlation and Cronbach’s alpha), and exploratory factor analysis (EFA). The study involved 111 undergraduate administration students from various Indonesian universities, and data were collected in 2023. Following a discriminant validity analysis, ten items were eliminated, while 23 met the criteria with p0.185. Subsequently, EFA yielded 16 items forming seven components, covering algorithmic thinking, problem-solving, technology literacy, problem abstraction, problem reformulation, data management in administration technology, and administrative data presentation with loading factor variations (0.421-0.868). The final instrument, consisting of 16 valid items and seven components, effectively evaluates the level of administrator computational thinking skills (ACTS) among administration students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of MOODLE learning media can improve learning outcomes in office technology subjects in class X OTKP SMK Negeri 1 Wonogiri.This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cylces with stages consisting of planning, implementing, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were students of class X OTKP 2 SMK Negeri 1 Wonogiri, totaling 36 students. Types of data include primary data, namely data directly obtained from research subjects, and secondary data, namely supporting data in the form of books, documents, and archives. Sources of data include informants, namely students, the place is SMK Negeri 1 Wonogiri and the event is the learning media MOODLE, documents and archives, namely syllabus, lesson plans, and assessmet books. Data collection techniques are tests with post test questions, practical questions and non test with observation, interview, questionnaires, and documentation. Data validity techniques using triangulation of sources and methods. Data analysis used critical analysis techniques and comparative descriptive.The results showed that the application of MOODLE learning media can improve learning outcomes in office technology subjects from pre cycle to cycle I, and from cycle I to cycle II. The average cognitive score per cycle increased from 65,97 to 79,31 and 84,03. The average affective value also increased from 67,78 to 76,38 and 84,86. The psychomotor scores increased from70,97 to 79,58 and 84,86. The percentage of pre-cycle completeness is still low, namely the cognitive 30,6%, affective 16,67%, and psychomotor 47,72. A significant increase in learning outcomes occured in the first cycle, namely the cognitive value with a percentage of 77.78% completeness, 66.67% affective, and 69.44% psychomotor although it was still not optimal. The implementation of cycle II causes a very significant increase in learning outcomes, namely the cognitive value with a percentage of 91.67%, affective 86.11%, and psychomotor 91.67% so that learning outcomes are optimal. Keywords: MOODLE learning media, learning outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) application usage One Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) in incoming mail-handling at Wonogiri District Court Office; (2) constraints and solutions to usage constraints PTSP application in managing incoming mail; (3) the effectiveness level of PTSP Application usage incoming mail-hanling. The method used for this research is  a mixed methodology with sequential design and case study approach. The sampling technique in this research used purpossive sampling. The validity test used are triangulation technique for qualitative data and pearson validity formula for testing quantitative data’s intrument. The result of this research shows that: (1) the use of PTSP’s application on incomig mail-handling at Wonogiri District Court only still limited for electronic’s mailing register which in first phase of mailing input to the application then proceed using manual procedure; (2) the constrain of PTSP’s application usage on mailing management is human resource which the employee as the users. The lack of motivation, the willingness and skill to change into PTSP’s application in incoming mail-handling caused the usage of the application is not optimal; (3) based on effectivity indicators there are some indicatorst that are unfullfilled which are targets, punctuality, goals, and transformation that also supported by the avarage of questionnaire result that shows number 56,67 which categorized as ineffective. There are the solutions that tried to resolve the constrain of PTSP’s application usage in incoming mail-handling are motivating, conducting socialization, and attempt from some employee to use the application to handling incoming mail.

Abstract

The competence of educational staff in information technology is essential to finishing a job at a university. Good information technology competence can help them complete the work faster and more effectively. This study investigates the influence of communication competence and education level on work productivity at Sebelas Maret University. Two hundred ten respondents were involved, consisting of 125 male and 85 female staff. Pearson correlation is used for validation, and Cronbach's alpha is used for reliability tests. All items are valid and reliable (α =.05.) The data were analyzed using multiple linear regressions. The result shows that simultaneously, the two independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable (F = 9.63, p <.05). Information technology competence has a significant effect on work productivity (t = 4.64, p <.05). Education level has a significant effect on work productivity (t = 2.48, p <.05). Generally, it can be concluded that the information technology competence and educational level of staff affect work productivity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Mind Mapping untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran mind mapping dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siklus pertama memperoleh capaian sebesar 48% peserta didik yang lulus dengan nilai rata-rata kelas adalah 80,65. Hal ini menunjukkan kenaikan sebesar 26% bila dibandingkan dengan tes pratindakan dimana capaian peserta didik yang lulus adalah sebesar 22% dengan nilai rata-rata kelas adalah 70,65. Kemudian pada siklus kedua kembali terjadi peningkatan dan mampu melampaui target capaian yang diharapkan dimana sebesar 78% peserta didik dinyatakan lulus dan nilai rata-rata kelas adalah sebesar 91,3. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran mind mapping dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.  Kata kunci: mind mapping; kemampuan berpikir kritis; covid-19; pembelajaran daring; zoom meeting  Abstract: Application of Mind Mapping Learning Model to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Abilities. This study aims to determine whether the application of the mind mapping learning model can improve students' critical thinking abilities. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) in 2 cycles. The result of this study showed that the critical thinking ability test in the first cycle obtained an achievement of 48% of students who passed with an average grade was 80.65. this shown an increase of 26% when compares to the pre-action test where the achievement of students who passed was 22% with an average grade was 70.65. then in the second cycle there was an increase again and was able to exceed the expected achievement target where 78% of students passed and the class average was 91.3. based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that mind mapping learning model can improve students' critical thinking abilities.  Keyword: mind mapping; critical thinking abilities; covid-19; online learning; zoom meeting

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine: (1) the influence of practical field work experience on the work readiness of students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono, (2) the influence of employability skills on the work readiness of students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono, (3) the influence of practical field work experience and Employability skills on work readiness of students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. This research is a type of research using quantitative methods. The research sample was class XII students at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono obtained using a simple random sampling technique, and the sample obtained was 187 students. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The research results show that there is (1) a positive and significant influence between practical field work experience on work readiness with the regression line equation Ŷ = 4.982 + 0.285X1 with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.653 and an effective contribution of 18.4%, (2) a positive and significant influence between employability skills on work readiness with the regression line equation Ŷ = 4.982 + 0.672X2 with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.653 and an effective contribution of 47.59%, (3) a positive and significant influence between practical experience field work and employability skills on work readiness based on the regression line equation Ŷ = 4.982 + 0.285X1 + 0.672X2, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.653 and the effective contribution given jointly is 65.7% while the remaining 34.3% explained by other variables that are not in this study.

Abstract

Background: The integration of AI-powered PowerPoint in education offers promising opportunities for enhancing teaching effectiveness, yet many vocational teachers face challenges in implementing this technology due to limited training and technical support. Contribution: This study contributes to the educational community by providing a practical framework for integrating AI-powered tools in vocational education, thereby enhancing teachers' technical skills and supporting sustainable technological adoption. Method: Using a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, twenty office administration teachers participated in an 8-hour training program. Data were collected through validated instruments measuring three indicators: training reaction, training facilities and materials, and expected behavioral changes. Results: Paired-sample t-tests revealed highly significant improvements in expected behavioral changes (t (19) = -4.501, p < 0.001) and training facilities perception (t (19) = -2.594, p = 0.018), although training reaction showed no significant change (t (19) = -1.628, p = 0.120). Conclusion: These findings suggest that intensive, well-structured training programs can effectively promote AI-powered PowerPoint adoption in vocational education, particularly in developing technical skills and implementation intentions. Educational institutions should consider implementing similar training programs while maintaining long-term support structures to reinforce learning and facilitate sustained technological integration.
