Abstract

This partnership activity aims to improve the ability of high school biology teachers to make genetics learning videos so that the material is easier for students to understand. Activities using socialization methods, material deepening, training and mentoring were carried out online and attended by 21 biology teachers who are members of the Ternate City High School Biology MGMP. Meanwhile, mentoring activities were carried out offline and attended by 13 peoples. The pretest results showed that 46.7% of participants did not know about various applications that can be downloaded for free from the internet to make genetics learning videos and 92.1% of participants had never made their own learning videos, but in the posttest 98.2% of participants understood the applications. the. At the end of the material deepening activity, it was discovered that the participants had understood the genetic concept of protein synthesis and cross-breeding and there were no misconceptions. In training activities, participants are trained on how to download free applications from the internet and how to operate these applications to create learning videos, including: creating images, selecting various features available on Canva, combining various images and videos, adding music, adding text, editing images. and sound. At the end of the mentoring activity, it was discovered that 78% of the participants had been able to make learning videos, while 22% of the learning videos produced had not been completed and could not be used for learning.

Abstract

The city of Ternate is an area whose territory consists mostly of ocean, so the people need an understanding of accurate tools to detect sea water levels which have the potential to become tsunamis and sometimes accompanied by earthquakes. For example, the educational community, teachers who are members of the Ternate City Physics MGMP, need to be given socialization and training on how to operate Arduino Uno-based tools which can provide signals when exposed to high tides via their ultrasonic sensors. The method for implementing the Community Partnership Program begins with identifying problems in coastal communities and high school physics teachers, followed by socialization, demonstrations and training on how to operate Arduino Uno-based tools. The activity is known to have increased physics teachers' understanding of the existence and benefits of the Arduino Uno by 100% and skills in operating the tool by 89.1%. Activity participants rated this activity as very important with an average result of 97.4%; the accuracy of the activity method was 95.6%; instructor expertise in delivering material was 97.1%. All participants (100%) who took part in the activity stated that this skill was important in teaching physics at school.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the validity of the draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for reflective micro learning for PPG Pre-service students. The expert validators in this research were 9 language experts and material experts each. The instrument for collecting data is in the form of a questionnaire. The data obtained in the form of a rating scale is then transformed into quantitative data in the form of percentages. The percent data is then categorized for validity. The research results show that the average percentage of SOP validity according to material experts is 94.7% and is categorized as very valid, while according to language experts it is 96.5% and is categorized as very valid.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the practicality of Student Worksheets (LKM) using Moloku Kie Raha's local potential project-based learning in the Inorganic Chemistry II course. The research population was 26 students in the fourth semester of the 2022-2023 academic year in the Chemistry Education study program, Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Khairun University. All sample members are used as the population (saturated sample or total sample). Data was obtained through a student response questionnaire during class learning with indicators of the novelty of the material presented, the attractiveness of the LKM display, motivation to learn, the ability to learn more independently, and the ability to learn cooperatively. Data analysis was carried out using a rating scale, transformation of qualitative data into quantitative, and percentages. The research results show that the percentage of practicality of LKM using Moloku Kie Raha local potential project-based learning is 87.2% and is categorized as very practical. The conclusion of this research is that the LKM based on the Moloku Kie Raha local potential project is very practical and suitable for use in Inorganic Chemistry II lectures.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide learning videos to all participants in the National Science Olympiad in Natural Sciences. This learning video is a free learning resource that can be accessed anytime and anywhere via the YouTube platform. These learning videos consist of 9 videos containing OSN Science grids and are collected into one playlist entitled KSN IPA (Fisika) SMP. The use of YouTube in supporting preparations for the science olympiads at junior high school level can be said to be effective by looking at the number of viewers, the number of likes and that no one gave a dislike. Ease of access and targeted material content can be something that attracts students participating in OSN. Even the comments column can also be used as a medium for discussion and correction of each material presented.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru Fisika yang tergabung dalam MGMP Fisika Kota Ternate untuk membuat alat peraga dan mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Siswa LKS Fisika. Hal ini merupakan kegiatan lanjutan dari hasil temuan penelitian sebelumnya bahwa guru-guru Fisika yang tergabung dalam MGMP Fisika Kota Ternate masih belum terlatih dalam pembuatan alat peraga dan pengembangan LKS. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian berupa metode sosialisasi, pelatihan, serta pendampingan. Metode sosilisasi dilakukan dengan memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta pelatihan tentang alat ukur serta pengembangan LKS Fisika. Selanjutnya dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdi dengan mengambil contoh alat peraga praktikum cermin dan pemantulan dengan LKS guided inquiry. Kegiatan terakhir yaitu pendampingan pembuatan alat peraga fisika sederhana serta LKS yang langsung diuji cobakan kepada siswa SMA. Saat kegiatan berlangsung guru-guru sangat antusias untuk mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan karena sangat bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru Fisika dalam membuat alat peraga dan mengembangkan LKS.

Abstract

The Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP-K) is a scholarship program provided by the government for high school graduates who excel academically but are economically disadvantaged and unable to continue their studies at university. The KIP-K program aims to increase opportunities for students to pursue higher education by providing monthly living expenses and tuition fees for students who meet the eligibility criteria. Through KIP-K, it is expected to create a competitive and well-educated generation of future leaders. In North Maluku Province, particularly in Malifut, North Halmahera Regency, many students still lack information about the KIP-K scholarship. Therefore, this community service activity aimed to provide insights into the importance of pursuing education at the university level and how underprivileged students can apply for the KIP-K scholarship. This activity was carried out at SMAN 4 Halmahera Utara and SMKN 2 Halmahera Utara. As a result of this socialization, students successfully created their own accounts and registered for the KIP-K scholarship. It is hoped that through this program, students will take advantage of higher education opportunities through KIP-K and be able to continue their studies and achieve their goals.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemanfaatan tanaman lokal dan keterampilan ekonomi kreatif masyarakat Pulau Makian, Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan, khususnya di kalangan ibu rumah tangga yang selama ini bergantung pada hasil panen tanaman tahunan. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pendapatan masyarakat melalui pelatihan pembuatan batik ecoprint ramah lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan tanaman lokal sebagai cetakan alami. Metode yang digunakan mencakup sosialisasi, demonstrasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan lanjutan, yang melibatkan mahasiswa KUBERMAS dan peserta dari tiga desa: Kyowor, Matantengin, dan Sangapati. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam teknik ecoprint, serta keberhasilan memproduksi berbagai produk kreatif seperti tas, kain, dan pakaian, yang juga memberikan dampak ekonomi langsung dengan persentase keuntungan usaha mencapai lebih dari 170%. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan batik ecoprint tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan dan kreativitas masyarakat, tetapi juga mendorong ekonomi lokal dan kesadaran konservasi lingkungan berbasis potensi daerah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the validity of the CCDSR learning model. The CCDSR learning model that was developed was validated by 3 experts in a discussion forum commonly called Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results of the validator assessment indicate that the content and construct validity of the CCDSR learning model are very valid criteria. The valid CCDSR learning model means having several characteristics, namely meeting the need (need), state (the state of the art), having a strong theoretical and empirical foundation, and there is consistency between the components of the model. The CCDSR learning model is included in the criteria of validity, both content and construct so that it can be used as a guide in preparing plans to improve science process skills (SPS) and SPS learning for students of prospective physics teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis validitas dari rancangan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) pembelajaran mikro reflektif untuk mahasiswa PPG Prajabatan. Validator ahli dalam penelitian ini adalah ahli bahasa dan ahli materi masing-masing berjumlah 9 orang. Instrumen untuk pengambilan data berbentuk angket. Data yang diperoleh dalam bentuk sekala rating kemudian ditransformasi menjadi data kuantitatif dalam bentuk persen. Data persen kemudian dikategorisasi validitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata persentase validitas SOP menurut ahli materi sebesar 94,7% dan dikategorikan sangat valid, sedangkan menurut ahli bahasa sebesar 96,5% dan dikategorikan sangat valid.
